Abstract

Islamic Social Enterprise (ISE) is one of the important sectors in the Islamic economy. Many Islamic social companies operate in Indonesia, whether run by individuals, partnerships, or non-profit organizations. Given their current growth, in Indonesia and around the world, studies on specific ISEs founded by individuals have not received serious attention. Moreover, no discussion of the marketing aspects of ISE can be found in the previous literature. Despite all these limitations, the marketing element remains very important for the sustainable development of ISE. The elements of marketing are expected to be very important for ISE, even though the basic goal is a social goal, but there are benefits to be achieved. The purpose of this study is to explore the marketing model in Islamic social enterprises. This is because the purpose of an Islamic social enterprise (ISE) is to serve the Islamic community/needy beneficiaries as well as the customers of the business being run, no matter what level they are at. This study adopts a literature study or literature review approach. The results of this study indicate that not all elements of the marketing mix can be applied to Islamic social enterprises. In addition, this study highlights several spaces to find ways to maintain ISE by implementing the right marketing elements. The results of the study also expand the literature review on ISE.

The test results on the conventional instrument indicators show that the Consumer Price Index gives a negative response to shocks that occur in LOAN, DPK and SBI, while the Consument Price Index gives a positive response to shocks that occur in PUAB. And the results of the Forecast Error Variance Decomposition test show that the influence of indicators from the syariah instrument variable simultaneously in influencing the Consumer Price Index as a proxy for inflation is greater than the indicators from the conventional instrument variable.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on MSMEs and how the effectiveness of utilizing business capital assistance paid by the government affects their survival during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Through a survey of 110 respondents (namely debtors/beneficiaries), this case study finds that the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused business delays, so the government assistance program has become the key to MSME business continuity during the COVID-19 Pandemic. With government assistance, the business actors in the sample of this study could maintain their business. Even though the overall labor force is decreasing and income is decreasing, some small, medium, and micro-enterprises can maintain or even increase workers and their turnover due to government assistance. This study recommends continuing the assistance program for MSMEs by loosening requirements and focusing on new beneficiaries, an integrated MSME database, and in the future, the assistance program needs to be integrated with financial literacy and MSME innovation programs. The policy implication of this study is that the government's economic recovery plan during the future recession needs to target MSMEs. IntroductionInfluencer marketing on social media has gained widespread attention for its ability to enhance promotional effectiveness by leveraging the authenticity and credibility of influencers. However, concerns about transparency, especially related to sponsorship disclosures, along with the credibility of influencers and businesses—particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)—require deeper investigation, especially in emerging local markets.ObjectivesThis study investigates how sponsorship disclosure (explicit, implicit, or none), influencer credibility, and MSME credibility affect consumer perceptions and promotional effectiveness on social media. Additionally, the study examines the mediating role of consumer trust in these relationships within the context of MSMEs in Palopo City.MethodA quantitative approach utilizing a structured survey was employed. Data were collected from 133 active social media users in Palopo City who had experience interacting with influencer promotional content. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS software was used to analyze both direct and indirect effects among the study variables.ResultsFindings revealed that influencer credibility exhibited the strongest positive influence on promotional effectiveness, followed by MSME credibility and explicit sponsorship disclosure. Consumer trust significantly mediated these relationships, enhancing the overall impact of sponsorship disclosure, influencer credibility, and MSME credibility on promotional effectiveness.ImplicationsThe results underscore the importance for MSMEs to collaborate strategically with credible influencers and maintain transparency in sponsorship disclosures. Such practices can substantially increase consumer trust and, consequently, the effectiveness of promotional campaigns. Additionally, these findings highlight the necessity of regulatory support for transparent advertising practices.Originality/NoveltyThis research extends existing literature by exploring influencer marketing dynamics within a local MSME context, specifically examining how transparency in sponsorship disclosure, coupled with influencer and MSME credibility, influence promotional outcomes through consumer trust.

The population in this study, namely the customers of the Sharia Bakti Huria Cooperative, Palopo City had a total of 12,000 people and the sampling carried out in this study was accidental sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire. The results of this study found the Islamic Label variable (X1) tcount 6.824 and ttable 1.968 or 6.824 > 1.968 and a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. This means that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so the sharia label had effect on customer trust. Sharia compliance variable (X2) tcount is 3.968 and ttabel was 1.968 and the significant value was 0.000 <0.05. This meant that H0 was rejected and H2 was accepted, so sharia compliance had effect on customer trust. The variable of Sharia Label and Sharia Compliance had a positive and significant effect on Customer Trust, which was 0.779 or 77.9%. The sharia label and sharia compliance were important in establishing, maintaining, and increasing customer trust. Conversely, without a sharia label and sharia compliance, it would have a negative impact on customer trust in Sharia cooperatives.

Abstract

IntroductionPoverty remains a persistent development challenge in Indonesia, particularly in regional economies where economic growth does not always translate into inclusive welfare improvement. In Luwu Regency, poverty continues to reflect limited income, weak productive capacity, unequal access to economic opportunities, and insufficient integration between local development, digital technology, and financial services. Local economic transformation and digitalization are increasingly viewed as strategic pathways for strengthening productivity, expanding market access, empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises, and improving household welfare. At the same time, Islamic financial inclusion offers a Sharia-compliant mechanism for broadening access to financing, savings, digital financial services, and financial literacy.ObjectivesThis study analyzes the effects of local economic transformation and digitalization on poverty in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It also examines whether Islamic financial inclusion strengthens the relationship between local economic transformation, digitalization, and poverty reduction.MethodThis study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional research design. Data were collected through structured questionnaires from 250 respondents consisting of micro, small, and medium enterprise actors and users of digital services in Luwu Regency. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares to assess the measurement model, structural model, direct effects, and moderating effects.ResultsThe findings show that local economic transformation, digitalization, and Islamic financial inclusion have significant direct effects on poverty reduction. Local economic transformation contributes through regional productivity improvement, local resource utilization, and enterprise empowerment. Digitalization supports poverty reduction by expanding access to digital transactions, online markets, and economic information. Islamic financial inclusion also contributes by improving access to Sharia-compliant financial services. However, Islamic financial inclusion does not significantly moderate the relationship between local economic transformation and poverty, while it significantly strengthens the relationship between digitalization and poverty reduction.ImplicationsThe findings suggest that poverty alleviation requires integrated policies that combine local economic empowerment, digital infrastructure, digital literacy, and broader access to Islamic financial services.Originality/NoveltyThis study contributes to regional development and Islamic economics literature by integrating local economic transformation, digitalization, and Islamic financial inclusion into a single framework for explaining poverty reduction at the regional level.
