Abstract

Toddlers are children in the age range of 0-5 years old. The childhood period is the most vulnerable to diseases. Febrile seizures are often encountered in toddlers, where the body temperature rises suddenly and becomes a triggering factor for seizures. Based on the frequently occurring phenomenon, many parents do not know how to handle seizures, and when a child has a fever, it is not handled properly, such as not immediately applying warm compresses to the child, not giving fever-reducing medicine. Therefore, some parents still lack strong motivation to prevent febrile seizures. The research aims to analyze the relationship between motivation and parental behavior in preventing recurrent febrile seizures in toddlers in the Asoka Room of RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit. This is a quantitative study, correlational design with a cross-sectional approach, and total sampling technique. The sample consists of 54 parents. Data collection is done using two questionnaires: a motivation questionnaire and a behavior questionnaire, using the Spearman rank statistical test. The research results obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a relationship between motivation and the behavior of preventing recurrent seizures in toddlers in the Asoka Room of RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit. The correlation coefficient value is 0.553, meaning it has a strong positive relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between motivation and parental behavior in preventing recurrent seizures in toddlers in the Asoka Room of RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit.

The technique of determining respondents using purposive sampling using the Chi Square statistical test. The sample is patients who will undergo surgery at Primaya Betang Pambelum Hospital totaling 109 respondents. Results: The results of the Chi Square statistical test that obtained p value = 0.000 or the level of significance p < 0.05 so that there is a relationship between sign-in compliance with the accuracy of pre-operative patient identification, Conclusion: There is a relationship between sign-in compliance with the accuracy of pre-operaif patient identification as evidenced by the results of p < α with a significant level of 0.05 indicating a significant and meaningful relationship between sign-in compliance with the accuracy of patient identification at Primaya Betang Pambelum Hospital.

Abstract

One of the critical elements affecting nurse performance and impacting the quality of nursing services is the implementation of the head nurse's functions. This role must be effectively integrated into the healthcare system to motivate nurses to provide optimal patient care, thereby improving community health quality. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the head nurse's functions and the performance of bedside nurses in the inpatient wards at RSUD Palangka Raya. Method: This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational research type and a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling, involving 34 respondents. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire, and statistical analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank Correlation test. Results:The results of the Spearman Rank statistical test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of p = 0.00 with a level of significance of p < 0.05, indicating a relationship between the head nurse's functions and the performance of bedside nurses. The correlation coefficient was 0.685, reflecting a high or strong correlation. This positive relationship indicates that as the function of the head nurse improves, the performance of bedside nurses also increases. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, meaning there is a relationship between the head nurse's functions and the performance of bedside nurses. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the head nurse's functions and the performance of bedside nurses. It is recommended that the hospital provide training for head nurses on management functions.

Abstract

Knowledge and the role of posyandu (integrated service post) cadres are crucial and strategically important in providing health education to the community. According to 2023 data, the coverage of complete basic immunization at posyandu is significantly below the target. Surveys revealed that some cadres have insufficient knowledge and a minimal role in immunization services, such as providing counseling, encouraging, and motivating mothers to immunize their children. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the role of posyandu cadres in achieving complete basic immunization in the working area of Puskesmas Bahaur Hilir, Pulang Pisau District. Method: This research is a correlational study with a quantitative method using a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique employed was total sampling, with 65 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and statistical analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test. Results: The data analysis revealed a significant relationship between knowledge and the role of cadres, with a significance value (p-value) of 0.000 < 0.05 and a strong correlation coefficient of 0.642. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and the role of cadres, with a strong correlation coefficient. It is recommended that posyandu cadres enhance their knowledge and active participation in posyandu activities and communicate information to the community to improve health outcomes.

Abstract

Education is an independent nursing intervention designed to help individuals, groups, or communities, including hypertension patients, address their health issues through learning activities, with nurses acting as educators. Hypertension is a chronic disease often referred to as the "silent killer." Family support is crucial for hypertension patients in dealing with problems that arise during long-term treatment. Based on interviews with 10 elderly hypertension patients, it was found that when they went for health check-ups and monitoring at healthcare facilities, they were not accompanied by their families. This study aims to analyze the Effect of Education on Family Support in Hypertension Management for the Elderly at UPTD Jekan Raya Health Center, Palangka Raya. Method: This study used a Pre-Experimental Design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest approach. The sampling technique was Purposive Sampling, with 49 respondents. Results: Based on the results of the Paired Sample Test, a p-value of 0.00 was obtained, which indicates a significance level of p < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, meaning that education significantly influences family support in managing hypertension in the elderly at UPTD Jekan Raya Health Center, Palangka Raya.
