Abstract

Lecturer performance is not only limited to teaching activities, but also includes research, scientific publications, and community service. According to government regulations, lecturers are expected to be able to make significant contributions in these three aspects to fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of career path and work environment variables on private lecturer performance in Medan City. The analysis used is associative analysis, this research method is quantitative. The population in this study were all lecturers at 23 private universities in Medan City. The sampling method used the probability sampling method with the simple random sampling technique. So the sample in the study was directly determined to be 120 private lecturers in Medan City. The results obtained from this study indicate that: 1) Career path partially has a significant effect on private lecturer performance in Medan City, 2) Work environment partially has a significant effect on private lecturer performance in Medan City. 3) Career path and work environment simultaneously have a significant effect on private lecturer performance in Medan City. The adjusted R square value of 0.744 can be called the coefficient of determination, this means that 0.744 (74.4%) of lecturer performance can be obtained and explained by career path and work environment while the remaining 25.6% (100% - 74.4% = 25.6%) is explained by variables outside the model that are not studied.

Abstract. In a company, the goal of all organizations is how to achieve the company's goals, namely achieving maximum profit, which is the focus of all workers and company owners.To achieve the company's goals, various policies will be carried out in optimizing existing business activities in the company so as to achieve high productivity.Providing attractive compensation for employees is the company's effort to give confidence to employees so that it will influence employee behavior to work even harder.The company must be committed to improving the quality of employees in order to create high performance for the company.Improving the quality of employees can be done through employee quality development policies through increasing employee education and experience.The relationship between superiors and subordinates will be harmonious if the relationship can be harmonious between superiors and subordinates where in this company it is called the term manager and employee.Managers as company leaders must be able to manage the company's potential well through empowering employees and empowering other resources such as capital, buildings, land in the company.In carrying out their duties, each manager has a different leadership style so that the manager's leadership style will be able to influence changes in employee behavior in a good direction.Employees as executors of work at the lower level will provide good performance with the attention given by the company through various policies in the company.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of leadership style and work motivation on work productivity at the Indonesian Business and Computer Institute. The research is driven by the strategic role of human resource management in enhancing organizational performance, where leadership and motivation are often considered key drivers of employee productivity. The purpose of this study is to determine whether these two factors significantly contribute to improving productivity within the institution. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 48 employees and lecturers, employing a saturated sampling technique to ensure complete representation. The data were analyzed with multiple linear regression, supported by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that both leadership style and work motivation have a statistically significant and positive effect on productivity. The regression analysis confirmed model validity, with leadership style contributing a coefficient of 0.300 (t = 4.286, p < 0.001) and work motivation showing a stronger coefficient of 0.350 (t = 5.645, p < 0.001). These findings emphasize the importance of effective leadership practices and robust motivational strategies in enhancing employee productivity.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of work discipline and satisfaction on the performance of lecturers in Medan City. The type of research used in this research is associative research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the population in this study, namely all lecturers at private universities in Medan City. The sampling method in this research uses a probability sampling method with a simple random sampling technique, namely taking sample members from the population randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population, with a sample size of 60 respondents. Data collection methods were carried out by means of questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results obtained partially and simultaneously, it shows that work discipline and satisfaction with the performance of lecturers in Medan City. The results of the coefficient of determination test obtained an adjusted R square value of 0.818 (81.8%). This shows that the variablework discipline and job satisfactionable to explainlecturer performance was 81.8%,while the remaining 18.2% is influenced by other variables not examined inthis research.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of personal resources and job crafting on work engagement of modern coffee shop employees in Medan City. The type of research used in this research is associative research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the population in this study, namely all lecturers at private universities in Medan City. The sampling method in this research uses a probability sampling method withsimple random sampling technique, namely taking sample members from the population randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population, with a sample size of 70 respondents in 15 modern coffee shops in Medan City. Data collection methods were carried out by means of questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research results obtained partially and simultaneously, it shows that personal resources and job crafting affect the work engagement of modern coffee shop employees in Medan City. The results of the coefficient of determination test obtained an adjusted R square value of 0.863 (86.3%). This shows that the variablepersonal resourcesand job craftingable to explainwork engagementamounting to 86.3%,while the remaining 13.7% is influenced by other variables not examined inthis research.
