This study used an analytic design with a cross sectional design. The analysis used was frequency distribution and Chi Square test. The results of this study concluded that there was a relationship between adherence to taking medication (p value 0.000; = 0.05), family support (p value 0.001; = 0.05) with the recovery of schizophrenia patients in the psychiatric clinic of Riau Province Mental Hospital. Abstract

Abstract: Stunting is one of the nutritional problems that remains a serious challenge in efforts to improve the nutritional status of children in Indonesia. This condition is characterized by impaired linear growth, where children have a shorter height than their peers. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation between maternal and toddler aspects of the incidence of stunting. The research design used in this study was case control. The research was conducted in the Kluwut Health Center working area. The research was conducted in July 2023. The study population was all toddlers aged 24 to 59 months whose data were recorded at the Kluwut Health Center. The sample amounted to 98 toddlers consisting of 49 cases and 49 controls. The sampling technique used in this study was non probability sampling with purposive sampling method. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed that there was an association between the history of MP breastfeeding (p value: 0.01) and the history of LBW (p value: 0.001) on the incidence of stunting. It is recommended that mothers who have toddlers be able to increase their children's animal protein intake by modifying animal protein food ingredients into forms and flavors that children prefer so that children are more interested and not bored with the side dishes provided and health centers to optimize socialization programs for pregnant women to prevent LBW and stunting so that every family member has good nutritional status including children. Keywords: Underweight, LBW, breastmilk MP, stunting.

Abstract

Cases of stunting under five currently have the highest number when compared to other forms of malnutrition. Parents have an important role in fulfilling the nutrition of toddlers, especially the role of a mother as someone who is often with toddlers. If a mother has good knowledge, of course it will also affect a good attitude in fulfilling toddler nutrition. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers in providing balanced nutrition with the incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Cisungsang Community Health Center, Lebak Regency in 2023. The research design used a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach with data collection tools using questionnaires and analyzed univariately and bivariately. The sample in this study amounted to 60 respondents. The results showed that almost all 49 toddlers (81.7%) did not experience stunting, most of the respondents 39 (65.0%) had good knowledge and most of the respondents 37 (61.7%) had a positive attitude. The statistical test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge in providing balanced nutrition and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a value (p-value = 0.001) and there was a relationship between the mother's attitude in providing balanced nutrition with the incidence of stunting in toddlers with a value (p-value = 0.002). It is hoped that health workers will be able to provide education to the public about the nutritious food needed so that the incidence of stunting can be reduced with promotive, preventive and curative efforts from health workers.

Abstract

Community service in the form of health education activities for the target community through 2 activities in the form of providing education about stunting and appropriate feeding patterns for toddlers based on the contents of my plate, and the second stage is demonstrating the steps for cooking one of the fish-based complementary food menus (catfish) become a food that is often in demand by children in the form of processed "nuggets". the activities were carried out face-to-face on February 13 and February 21 2023 with the target of mothers who have toddlers who are stunted. The purpose of this activity is to add information and strengthen mother's knowledge in understanding stunting, prevention and how to provide proper feeding patterns to children. In addition, it equips mothers with skills and motivates them to process healthy fishbased food into delicious, healthy and of course nutritious catfish nuggets in a way that is easy to do through cooking classes. This was done by looking at the phenomenon of the problem from the results of the research conducted which found field data that the incidence of stunting in children in Margaluyu Village, the Working Area of the Kasemen Health Center has increased every year. This activity was attended by 17 mothers and toddlers in one of the village cadres' houses. The stages of the activities carried out in the education class were in the form of giving questionnaires to explore the mother's knowledge and feeding patterns (pre-test), then measuring the growth curve with a microtoise and checking the development of toddlers using the KPSP. Followed by giving material for 25 minutes and a question and answer process and evaluation. The second stage was carried out 1 week later with a series of activities in the form of a cooking class for processed MPASI side dishes in the form of catfish nuggets by conducting direct demonstrations to mothers with stunting toddlers who previously carried out a post test first with the same questionnaire. The evaluation stage is by conducting follow-up through village cadres regarding knowledge and patterns of feeding to mothers whether there have been changes, mothers' ability to make processed catfish nuggets independently at their respective homes and given them routinely to children. The final stage is to carry out follow-up which is still ongoing regarding the improvement of the child's growth curve measured for 3 months.
