Abstract

With the recent technological trend of miniaturization in manufacturing industries, the rise of micro forming operations such as micro deep drawing (MDD) is inevitable. On the other hand, the need of more advanced materials is essential to accommodate various applications. However, a major problem are size effects that make micro scale operations challenging. One of the most important behaviors affected by size effects is the springback phenomenon, which is the tendency of a deformed material to go back to its original shape. Springback can affect dimensional accuracy, which is very important in micro products. Thus, this paper investigated the springback behavior of Al-Cu composite in MDD operations. Micro cups were fabricated from blank sheet specimens using an MDD apparatus with variation of annealing holding time. The springback values were measured and compared to each other. The results showed that different grain sizes lead to variation in the amount of springback. However, unlike in single-element materials, the amount of springback in Al-Cu composite is not only related to the thickness to grain size (t/d) ratio. Another factor, i.e., the existence of an interfacial region between layers, alters the mechanical behavior of the composite.

Abstract

Usaha mikro saat ini menghadapi tantangan untuk berinovasi dalam Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menciptakan persaingan yang semakin dinamis. Salah satu peluang inovasi ini datang dari teknologi 3D printing yang telah terpenetrasi ke banyak area aplikasi. Namun, teknologi yang awalnya berbiaya mahal ini berhadapan dengan terbatasnya modal pelaku usaha mikro. Dalam artikel ini dilakukan kajian kemungkinan penggunaan teknologi 3D printing dalam konteks usaha mikro. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka dari artikel ilmiah, buku, website, dan e-commerse yang disajikan dalam perspektif 5M (method, material, machine, man, money). Ditemukan terdapat tiga area aplikasi 3D printing yang dapat dimasuki oleh usaha mikro, yaitu makanan, cinderamata, dan fashion. Hal ini dimungkinkan karena telah banyaknya pilihan mesin dan material untuk aplikasi 3D printing yang terjangkau pelaku usaha mikro. Untuk pengembangan selanjutnya, pelaku usaha mikro perlu meningkatkan kemampuan desain dan pemasaran serta berkolaborasi dengan lembaga riset atau perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Saat ini teknologi 3D Printing sedang sangat berkembang dengan biaya yang semakin terjangkau. Hal ini mendorong bermunculannya jasa cetak 3D di beberapa kota di Indonesia. Model bisnis yang digunakan adalah menerima model 3D dari pelanggan kemudian mencetaknya dengan 3D printer. Disebabkan oleh tidak terbatasnya variasi model 3D yang mungkin diterima, jasa 3D printing perlu menetapkan basis tarif  dasar yang dipakai. Terdapat dua pilihan basis tarif dasar yang merepresentasikan biaya langsung, yaitu basis material dan basis waktu cetak. Studi ini mengevaluasi performansi kedua basis tersebut menggunakan simulasi Anylogic dalam memaksimalkan pendapatan. Seratus model 3D digunakan untuk mengakomodir variasi pesanan. Estimasi jumlah material dan waktu cetak untuk masing-masing model didapat dari software slicer dan digunakan sebagai inputan simulasi. Dari hasil simulasi pada rentang waktu operasi satu tahun, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa meskipun kedua basis tarif dasar menunjukkan keunggulan biaya langsung secara bergantian untuk model 3D yang  berbeda, basis material dapat memberikan jumlah pendapatan total yang lebih besar. Rate basis evaluation of 3D printing service using Anylogic simulation. Nowadays, 3D printing technology has been vastly developed at an even more affordable cost. This fact encourages the growth of 3D print services in some Indonesian cities. The business model for this type of service is simple: receiving a 3D model from the customer and then realizing it using 3D printing. Since there are unlimited variations of 3D models that come in, 3D services providers need to determine their basic rate. Two options of rate basis represent direct cost of 3D printing operation, those are material basis and printing time basis. This article evaluates the performance of the two using Anylogic simulation in maximizing revenue. A hundred 3D models were utilized to accommodate variation in order. Material needs and printing time estimation of each model were determined using slicer software as input for the simulation. The result of one year simulation time shows that although both bases can give superiority on direct cost for different individual 3D models, the material basis rate was able to present greater operational income.Keywords: 3D printing; rate basis; Anylogic; simulation

Abstract

Teaching props can help make the learning process more effective by bringing students closer to a concept through a more tangible representation. However, many schools struggle to meet the need for teaching aids, as seen at SMA Sholihin in Bandongan District, Magelang Regency. With advancements in manufacturing technology, an affordable solution is now available to address this issue: 3D printing. The purpose of this community service program is to provide education on the utilization of 3D printing for developing teaching props. The method used involves training on the basic concepts of 3D printing, how to obtain 3D models, and how to operate a 3D printer. The material was delivered through presentations, discussions, and direct demonstrations of the process of creating three-dimensional objects using a 3D printer. At the end of the program, six educational teaching props were successfully produced using 3D printing, along with an improved understanding of the fundamentals of 3D printing technology, 3D modeling, and 3D printer operation.

Abstract

Poorly managed organic waste often accumulates, becoming a significant source of pollution. A major challenge is the low utilization rate of waste management facilities. This ongoing issue of organic waste has negative impacts on both public health and quality of life. This initiative aimed to enhance community awareness of waste management and provide guidance on creating composter tools as a solution for organic waste management. The methods employed included waste management sensitization focusing on waste segregation, alongside training on composter construction and usage. Evaluation results indicate that 93% of participants understood the importance of waste segregation, and 93% were able to construct a simple composter after the activity. This program can serve as a sustainable model for waste management, particularly organic waste, at the hamlet level.

Abstract

Aplikasi terpal PE (polyethylene) sering melibatkan interaksi langsung dengan lingkungan luar dan beban. Hal ini dapat   mengakibatkan perubahan pada sifat-sifatnya sehingga mempengaruhi umur pemakaian. Sejauh ini, penurunan sifat-sifat mekanis material polyethylene telah diamati pada berbagai penelitian, namun belum ada yang secara khusus berfokus pada struktur anyaman seperti terpal. Artikel ini menginvestigasi penurunan sifat mekanis yang disebabkan oleh kedua faktor di atas pada bahan terpal. Uji tarik dan uji jebol dilakukan terhadap spesimen bahan terpal yang telah dipapar cuaca selama 1, 2, dan 3 bulan, dengan dan tanpa beban kontinu. Ditemukan penurunan sifat-sifat mekanis secara bertahap seiring dengan lama paparan. Perbandingan antara spesimen terpal baru dan yang telah diberi perlakuan paparan selama 3 bulan menunjukkan penurunan kekuatan tarik dan kemuluran sebesar 56% dan 67%. Pada semua variasi waktu paparan, spesimen dengan beban kontinu mengalami penurunan sifat yang lebih besar daripada spesimen tanpa beban. Baik degradasi bahan polyethylene maupun perubahan struktur anyaman disinyalir berpengaruh terhadap perubahan karakteristik mekanis pada spesimen dengan beban kontinu.

Abstract

Magelang-Semarang Highway Road connects northern and southern Java Island through Magelang City. This is causing high density traffic since not only local vehicles that get pass this highway, but also various long-distance travelers. Consequently, numerous motorcycles, cars, buses, and trucks crowd the road which can increase the probability of accident and congestion. Thus, good understanding of vehicle volume, its distribution through time, and its types are necessary to anticipate the tendencies. This research aims to obtain the information by utilizing YOLOS-based image processing application to detect and count type of vehicle and its passing time from traffic video recording. The extracted data was then processed using statistics to get traffic profile. It was concluded that there was no significant change in traffic volume throughout days in a week, except a huge decline on Sunday. However, there was hourly fluctuations especially on morning and late afternoon. Additionally, proportion of buses and trucks in the traffic were increase on certain hours. Travelers should avoid those hours to minimize accident and congestion risk.     Abstrak Jalan Magelang Semarang menghubungkan Pulau Jawa bagian utara dan selatan melalui Kota Magelang. Akibatnya, kendaraan yang melintas relatif padat, selain dengan tujuan lokal juga dalam rangka perjalanan jarak jauh. Hasilnya, selain sepeda motor dan mobil, bus dan truk banyak melintas sehingga menimbulkan potensi kecelakaan dan kemacetan. Pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai volume, distribusi waktu, dan jenis kendaraan di daerah ini penting untuk mengantisipasi kecenderungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi image processing berbasis YOLO untuk mendeteksi dan menghitung jenis dan waktu melintas kendaraan dari rekaman video lalu lintas di Jalan Magelang Semarang pada siang hari. Data yang didapatkan kemudian diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan statistika untuk mendapatkan profil lalu lintas sehingga diperoleh informasi waktu-waktu rawan melintas. Hasilnya, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa tidak ada perubahan volume kendaraan per-hari yang signifikan selama satu minggu, kecuali penurunan yang terjadi pada Hari Minggu. Namun demikian, fluktuasi kepadatan terjadi terutama pada pagi dan sore hari. Selain itu, pemetaan jenis kendaraan menunjukkan terdapat proporsi bus dan truk yang meningkat pada jam-jam tertentu sehingga pengguna jalan perlu menghindarinya untuk meminimalisir potensi kecelakaan dan kemacetan.
