Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris Dengan Metode Integrated Skill Bagi Santri Pondok Pesantren Raudatuttholibin NW Paokmotong Kecamatan Masbagik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu para siswa yang kesulitan dalam berbahasa inggris dengan menggunakan metode Integrated Skill. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengancara memberikan pelatihan kepada para santri dalam mengintegrasikan kemampuan bahasa inggris. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para santri pondok pesantren menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris yang cukup signifikan setelah mendapatkan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Peningkatan ketrampilan tersebut meliputi, membaca, membuat kalimat sederhana, dan berbicarapara selain itu para siswa sedikit demi sedikit lebih berani untuk mencoba berbicara di depan kelas. Hal ini menjadi pemicu peserta yang lain untuk melakukan hal serupa. Sehingga suasana kelas menjadi lebih interaktif dan aktif.

Abstract

The aim of this Community Service activity is to help English teachers at the PAUD level in West Sikur village to find, create and apply materials for English teaching and learning activities interactively and according to the children's ages. To achieve this goal, the training method is through training and theoretical deepening. The results of this activity can be described in general as follows: participants were able to understand the theoretical basis for teaching English in kindergarten or PAUD, participants were able to recognize several English songs that could be used for teaching. participants are able to combine songs and movements to help teach English, participants know and try to read simple English stories, participants are able to create simple media to help teach English, participants are able to plan learning activities with fun activities, and participants know and practice several types of games to help with teaching.

Abstract

TOEFL is an English test that is used to measure a person's English language skills. Test takers usually need the results of this test to continue their education in higher education, get job opportunities and apply for scholarships. To improve the grades and quality of their English skills, students take English courses outside of school or join special English training. Therefore, this test is considered to be very important and needs to be mastered. This test covers all the skills that must be mastered in English so it is not surprising for us to introduce this test not only for English students but for other study programs who want to learn English. The aim of this activity is to introduce types of English language tests using the TOEFL test, with the hope that this can be initial capital for students who want to continue their studies to a higher level or want to seek scholarships from the government. The outcome of this activity is that students are able to recognize and master the types of questions that will be tested in the English test so that it can help students to get maximum test results.
