Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini difokuskan pada pendampingan dan pelatihan peningkatan keterampilan literasi digital Pemuda di Dusun Surebaye Desa Barabali. Penentuan pelatihan ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi digital. Selain itu penyebaran HOAX dikalangan remaja sangat masif, sehingga masyarakat sangat mudah termakan oleh berita-berita bohong yang dapat meresahkan masyarakat. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada PKM ini diantaranya: 1) membantu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital melalui kegiatan pelatihan multimedia, 2) memberikan pemahaman bagaimana cara menyaring informasi-informasi yang tersebar di masyarakat melalui literasi digital, 3) memberikan kesempatan dan pengalaman kerja untuk dosen dan mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan PKM ini adalah melalui ceramah dan pelatihan. Materi-materi terkait pelatihan disampaikan melalui ceramah dan diskusi. Kemudian selanjutnya pelatihan langsung dilaksanakan dengan praktik secara langsung. Kegiatan PKM ini secara keseluruan mendapakan hasil yang baik dan memuaskan. Beberapa komponen yang berhasil dicapai dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini diantaranya: 1) ketecapaian tujuan kegiatan, 2) tecapainya target materi yang telah direncanakan.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the extent effect of the shadowing technique in developing students' abilities at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The method used in this study is quasi-experiment, involving two classes as the experiment class. The sample consists of 78 students in the third (3rd) semester. The data collection techniques used are observation sheets and audio tests that must be followed by students. The result of this study then calculates utilizing SPSS to know the difference between the Pre-Test and Post-Test. The result of this study shows that there is an effect of the shadowing technique on students' speaking ability at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. It can be proved by the result of the hypothesis test, which showed a significant level of 0.000, which means <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris Komunikatif Dengan Menggunakan Metode Role Play Bagi Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar Di SDN 1 Semaya Kecamatan Sikur. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu para siswa yang kesulitan dalam berbahasa inggris dengan menggunakan metode Role play. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengancara mebagi kegiatamn menjadi 3 yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap perencanaan keberlanjutan program. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para siswa mampu berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa inggris dengan menggunakan kalimat sederhana.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students' vocabulary mastery by using songs. This research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students in class VII D of Abul Barokat Islamic Middle School for the 2023/2024 academic year, a total of 28 students. The purpose of this research is to improve students' vocabulary mastery through English songs. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data is collected through qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data obtained by interviews and observation results. Then, quantitative data were obtained from the students' vocabulary scores from the pre-test, post-test. Based on the results of this study, it showed that there was progress in students' vocabulary mastery, as seen from the average pretest score of 66.07, the average posttest 1 score was 72.14, and the average posttest score. cycle 2 is 78.93. In addition, there were 5 students (18%) who passed the KKM on the pretest. Whereas in cycle 1 there were 15 students (54%) who passed the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), and it was obtained in the post test cycle 2 that there were 24 students (86%) who passed. Criteria (KKM), so that success criteria are achieved. Then, the results show an increase and a positive response in the learning process of teaching vocabulary through English songs. Furthermore, the results of observations and interviews show that students are motivated in the teaching and learning process when using this English song.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan siswa dalam membaca suatu bagian bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini sebagai sampel penelitian dilakukan pada siswa tahun kedua SMP NW Mataram pada tahun ajaran 2019-2020. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 19 siswa. Untuk mengetahui Untuk mengetahui permasalahan siswa dalam membaca teks bahasa Inggris, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Penulis mengumpulkan tanggal dengan membiarkan siswa membaca tes dan menjawab pertanyaan tentang tes tersebut. Tes ini menyediakan lima bagian, masing-masing terdiri dari lima tamu dengan pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 5,27% sangat baik, 15,81% baik, 5,27% cukup baik, 15,81% cukup, 26,35% kurang baik, 31,59% sangat kurang. Nilai total siswa adalah 90,2 — nilai rata-rata 4,74 berarti buruk. Terakhir, siswa kelas dua SMP NW Mataram tahun ajaran 2011/2012 mengalami kendala dalam pemahaman bacaan dan memerlukan solusi tertentu..   This study aims to find out the students" skill in reading an English passage.This investigation as sample research is conducted at second year students of SMP NW Mataram in the academic year 2019-2020. The sample of this study were 19 students. To find out the students“ problems in reading English text, the writer used the method of descriptive research. The writer collected the date by letting the students read a test and answer questions about it. The test provided five passages, each consisting of five guestions with multiple-choice. The result of the research is as follows: 5.27 % very good, 15.81 % good, 5,27 % fairly good, 15.81 % fair, 26.35 % poor, 31.59 % very poor. The total score of the students was 90.2 — the mean score 4.74 means poor. Finally, the second year students of SMP NW Mataram in the academic year 2011/2012 have problems in reading comprehension and need a certain solution.

Abstract

Kerajinan kain perca merupakan salah satu kerajinan yang menjadi bagian dari dunia jahit-menjahit. Kerajinan yang dibuat dari sisa kain yang tidak terpakai dan kemudian dijadikan suatu hasil karya seperti tas, boneka, dan barang bermanfaat lainya. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian ini dengan demonstrasi dan tutorial pembuatan produk, tahapan ini merupakan tahap pengolahan limbah kain perca, setelah di demonstrasikan tata cara pembuatan produk oleh tim pengabdi, selanjutnya adalah tahap pembuatan limbah kain perca dengan pendampingan dari mahasiswa KKN dengan tujuan untuk memaparkan rencana program pengabdian dan menjelaskan tentang usaha yang bisa dilakukan dari hasil produk yang dibuat. Jenis analisa data dalam artikel ilmiah ini sendiri adalah analisis deskriptif, yaitu sebuah penelitian dengan analisis yang memiliki tujuan untuk melihat gambaran atau deskripsi secara jelas mengenai kondisi tertentu dan merupakan penelitian yang menekankan pada data yang terkumpul dalam bentuk kata-kata atau gambar sehingga tidak menekankan pada angka, namun lebih menekankan pada proses dan makna. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada masa pelaksanaan KKN Mahasiswa Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global dengan menggunakan sistem mengumpulkan beberapa ibu-ibu rumah tangga pada tanggal 19 Agustus 2024.

Abstract

This particular investigation is aim “To find out the students ability in using Question Tags at the Second year Students of SMPN 1 Praya Barat in academic year 2024/2025. The sample of this study are classes VIII.4 and VIII. 6 of SMPN 1 Praya Barat which consist of 70 students where each class consist of 35 students. The sample on this study is treated to answer the test about Question Tags which consist of 50 multiple choice items and each item x 2. Their ability is proving by finding out the percentage of their test. This particular inference is bravely taken under the “d”(total amount) identification which indicates that the students have ability in using Question Tags, where “d” valued is 71%,this percentage is significance since obtained  from the score 4420 that divided from 70 students. This show that the second year students of SMPN 1 Praya Barat academic year 2024/2025 are able in using Question Tags.

Abstract

The integration of technology into education has become increasingly essential, especially in enhancing students' mastery of abstract language concepts such as complex grammar. Despite numerous digital tools available, many high school classrooms still rely on conventional methods, resulting in low student motivation and poor grammar comprehension. This study aims to develop and evaluate a website-based instructional media using Canva to improve students’ understanding of complex English grammar. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE model, the study involved media validation by experts and a quasi-experimental test with a pretest-posttest control group design. The developed media was assessed for feasibility by media, material, and language experts and scored an average of 82.6%, categorized as highly feasible. Additionally, the experimental group that used the Canva-based media achieved a significant improvement in their grammar scores, with an N-Gain score of 0.64 (moderate–high category), compared to the control group’s 0.26 (low category). The findings indicate that website-based media is effective in improving grammar achievement, enhancing student motivation, and fostering autonomous learning. The study concludes that Canva is a practical and scalable tool for supporting complex grammar instruction in high school settings, and its implementation should be encouraged for broader adoption in digital learning environments.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kecelakaan akibat kerja banyak terjadi di dunia industri. Untuk itu pengenalan K3 sejak dini di kalangan mahasiswa diharapkan mampu mengatasi tingginya kecelakaan kerja. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah mengenalkan budaya K3 sejak dini kepada mahasiswa sebelum masuk ke dunia industri. Peningkatan budaya K3 merupakan peningkatan softskill bagi seluruh peserta latihan. Metode yang digunakan dengan workshop menggunakan aplikasi Zoom Online. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 98 peserta dengan 63 orang diantaranya adalah mahasiswa dari Jakarta dan sekitarnya, sisanya diikuti oleh masyarakat umum dan pekerja. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test serta angket kepuasan peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari 78,27% menjadi 86,63%, atau sebesar 7,88%. Efektivitas pelatihan juga dinilai sangat baik dengan skor 4,375 pada skala 5. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan softskill peserta, namun diperlukan penambahan waktu pelatihan dan sesi praktik untuk memperkuat hasil.Abstract: Work-related accidents often occur in the industrial world. For this reason, introducing K3 from an early age among students is expected to be able to overcome the high number of work accidents. This training aims to introduce K3 culture from an early age to students before entering the industrial world. Improving K3 culture is an improvement in soft skills for all training participants. The method used in the workshop is the Zoom Online application. The activity was attended by 98 participants with 63 of them being students from Jakarta and surrounding areas. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-tests as well as participant satisfaction questionnaires. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' knowledge from 78.27% to 86.63% or 7.88%. The effectiveness of the training was also rated as very good with a score of 4.375 on Scale 5. This training was successful in improving participants' soft skills, but additional training time and practice sessions were needed to strengthen the results.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is a fundamental aspect of language learning that significantly influences students’ communication skills and academic performance. However, traditional vocabulary teaching methods often emphasize rote memorization and word lists, neglecting less commonly explored strategies that can enhance vocabulary growth more effectively. This study examines the impact of integrating rarely discussed aspects of vocabulary development, such as lexical chunks, morphological awareness, etymology, and contextual learning, on second-grade senior high school students. The research employs a qualitative and quantitative approach, incorporating classroom observations, student assessments, and teacher feedback to analyze the effectiveness of these strategies. Findings indicate that students exposed to these methods show a deeper understanding of word formation, improved retention, and greater confidence in using new vocabulary in different contexts. Additionally, engaging students in interactive learning activities, such as word mapping, etymological exploration, and phrase-based instruction, fosters a more meaningful and long-term vocabulary acquisition process. By shifting the focus from isolated word memorization to a more holistic and contextualized approach, this study provides valuable insights for educators aiming to enhance students' vocabulary proficiency. The findings suggest that incorporating innovative vocabulary learning strategies into English language teaching can create a more dynamic and effective learning environment for senior high school students.
