Abstract

Some students still find it difficult to learn mathematics because of the many obstacles they face. The view that mathematics is an abstract, theoretical science, has symbols and formulas that are difficult and confusing so that students have difficulty understanding it. This study used qualitative research methods. Research subjects were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Researchers then grouped students based on their level of ability, namely high ability, medium ability and low ability. The research subjects in this study were 3 students. The data collection technique in this study used a test technique which contained a system of two-variable linear equations and interviews. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results obtained in solving problems on the material system of linear equations of two variables, it was concluded that there were several difficulties experienced by students, namely conceptual difficulties which lay in the fact that students were unable to deduce information from a given concept, then principle difficulties, namely difficulties applying solving methods in solving problems, and skill difficulties that lie in the difficulty of arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of the Islamic Financial Management Study Program of IAIN Parepare using an in-depth SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis. The main focus of the study is to identify internal and external factors that influence the competitiveness of the Study Program in the ever-growing Islamic financial education industry. This study uses the EFAS (External Factory Analysis Summary) and IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) methods to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the study program in order to improve its competitiveness at the national and international levels. The results of the study show that the quality of teaching staff and the relevance of the curriculum are the main strengths of the study program, while limited resources are a significant challenge. The study program also has the opportunity to strengthen cooperation with the Islamic financial industry and local government, although there is a threat from competition with similar, more established study programs. This study concludes that strengthening cooperation with industrial institutions, verifying funding sources, and increasing operational efficiency through digital technology are key strategies that need to be implemented. The implications of this study provide guidance for study program managers in determining strategic policies to maintain the sustainability and relevance of study programs in the future.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Earnings Per Share (EPS) on stock prices, both individually and collectively. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilizes secondary data sourced from the financial statements of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. The analysis involves classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and both t-tests and F-tests conducted using SPSS software. The findings reveal that ROE has a positive and significant impact on stock prices, while NPM exhibits a significant but negative influence. In contrast, ROA and EPS show no meaningful effect when examined separately. However, when tested simultaneously, all four variables demonstrate a significant relationship with stock price fluctuations. This study acknowledges certain limitations, particularly regarding the scope of data, variables, and methodology. Future research is encouraged to incorporate external macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rates, and government policy to provide a more comprehensive analysis.
