Abstract

This study examines the application of the parable of the Good Shepherd in contemporary life, focusing on the aspects of spiritual leadership, protection and sacrifice, recognition and obedience, rejection and acceptance, and resurrection and eternal life. Through literature analysis, this study identifies how the concept of the Good Shepherd in John 10:1-21 can be implemented in the daily lives of Christians. Jesus is portrayed as the Good Shepherd, who leads, protects and sacrifices Himself for His sheep. Spiritual leaders in modern times can take this example to guide and serve the congregation with genuine love and sacrifice. This study highlights the importance of knowing and obeying the voice of Jesus, discerning between truth and deception, and living in awareness of the promise of resurrection and eternal life. The results show that this parable remains relevant and provides meaningful guidance for the spiritual and practical lives of Christians.

Abstract

Basic education plays a crucial role in shaping the character of students, emphasizing both academic growth and the internalization of moral and spiritual values. State Elementary School (SDN) 6 Langkai School in Palangka Raya applies a non-differentiated teaching module that focuses on delivering uniform material to all students, promoting an inclusive and simple learning environment. Despite challenges such as limited facilities, a less comfortable learning environment, and students' varying levels of understanding, the module aims to foster social and moral values in alignment with the local context. This study examines the implementation of the module, the challenges faced by teachers, and its impact on students' learning outcomes. A qualitative approach, including in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, was used to gather data. The results emphasize the importance of improving teacher competencies, enhancing school facilities, and adopting active learning methods to overcome existing challenges and ensure the module's effectiveness in delivering quality education.

Abstract

This study aims to cultivate environmentally conscious character among youth in Petuk Liti Village, Central Kalimantan. The main issue addressed is the low awareness and participation of teenagers in preserving the environment amidst increasing ecological pressure from human activities. A qualitative approach was used, combining case studies and literature review. Data collection involved in-depth interviews with village officials, religious leaders, educators, residents, and students, as well as direct observation around schools and places of worship. The findings show that fostering environmental awareness in youth can be effectively achieved through the synergy of formal education, non-formal learning, family involvement, and the influence of community and religious leaders. Local wisdom and spiritual values play a crucial role in shaping emotional ties between youth and their environment. Role models and active participation in environmental initiatives significantly strengthen character development. The study concludes that a holistic approach engaging multiple stakeholders fosters a generation that is not only intellectually competent but also ecologically conscious. These findings contribute to the development of contextual, value-based character education rooted in local wisdom and culture.
