Abstract

The development of radio broadcasting in Banyuwangi experienced unstable dynamics, even radio broadcasting in Banyuwangi experienced a vacuum. This research aims to find out 1) the history of the development of radio broadcasting in Banyuwangi; 2) how to maintain existence in the digital era. In this research, researchers used qualitative methods. The results of this research are 1) the history of radio development in Banyuwangi began with the birth of amateur radio stations called RADAM in 1966 with short wafe (SW) waves, in 1967-1970 there was control and they turned into radio with official broadcasts. with various conditions, the only amateur radio stations that have turned into official broadcasts are Mandala and RKPD radio which have now turned into Blambangan FM radio which has passed, 2) along with increasingly rapid technological developments and entering the era of digitalization, the existence of radio has begun to decline, Due to developments in technology, practitioners and radio station owners must be observant and more innovative in maintaining their existence, one of which is by keeping up with the times with applications in the digital era.Keywords: History, Broadcasting, Radio, Banyuwangi.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the introduction of Nyi Ageng Serang's leadership values as an effort to build the character of the nation's next generation. Building character according to the character of the Indonesian nation is very important considering the increasingly development of technology that will affect the character of the nation's next generation. For this reason, the Community Service Team collaborated with schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta to introduce local heroes who were made National heroes, one of which was Nyi Ageng Serang. The stages carried out in community service begin with observation, coordination, execution and evaluation. This community service uses lecture and discussion methods. From this community service, students who will become the next generation of the nation are starting to have an interest in getting to know and deepen local heroes who have become national heroes such as Nyi Ageng Serang.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in the world. The purpose of this study is 1) to find out the implementation of the pre-colonial hajj, 2) to find out the implementation of the hajj during the VOC era, 3) to find out the implementation of the hajj during the Dutch colonial era, 4) to find out the hajj according to Snouck Hurgronje's view. This study uses a historical research method with heuristic, interpretation, verification, and historiography steps. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The hajj began in the 15th century, but there has been no evidence to support this, in addition, the hajj began with traders who traded in the Middle East; 2) the rules for carrying out the hajj were tightened because of the VOC's fear that the Nusantara community would be influenced; 3) The emergence of hajj regulations with passports, sufficient financially for people who will go on the hajj and for the families left behind; 4) The Nusantara community went to perform the hajj of their own accord because they would receive the honor.

Abstract

The Lempar Dawet tradition, a unique rain-inducing ritual practiced in Medang Kamulan hamlet, is deeply rooted in the community's history and cultural values. This qualitative study employed observation, interviews, and documentation, alongside a review of relevant literature, to examine the tradition from multiple perspectives. The Lempar Dawet tradition, originating in the Hindu-Buddhist era, has undergone cultural adaptation with the advent of Islam, while retaining its core essence as a communal response to drought. The study delves into the intricate procedures of the tradition, highlighting the importance of using homemade dawet and the inclusive participation of all community members in the dawet throwing procession. Furthermore, the research uncovers the tradition's inherent character education values, encompassing religiosity, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity, which can be harnessed for educational purposes. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the Lempar Dawet tradition, its cultural significance, and its potential as a source of character development and environmental adaptation strategies. By shedding light on this unique practice, the study underscores the importance of preserving local wisdom and cultural heritage in an ever-changing world.

Abstract

The development of the world of tourism after the Covid-19 pandemic provides opportunities for the development of tourism products. This study aims to determine the potential of traditional food in Yogyakarta as tourism development; To find out the potential of traditional food in Banyuwangi. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews with sources, documentation, and supported by literature. The results of this study indicate that 1) Yogyakarta as a tourist city has many menus that can be used to attract tourists including gudeg, bakpia, ingkung, tiwul and Gatot, stir fry mercon, 2) traditional food menus that can be used to attract tourists including botok wasp, uceng-uceng, lanun, pepes olin, and kelemben. These traditional food menus are inseparable from the history of the first time these menus existed and were served. Based on the discussion that has been conveyed by the researchers, it can be concluded that traditional food influences tourists to visit an area, it is necessary to have a good relationship between the government, the community and tourists. If regional tourism is developed, the economy of the community around the tourist object will also feel a positive impact.

Abstract

North Korea is a country located in the East Asia region. North Korea is one of the countries that is developing nuclear. The development of nuclear power has become a problem of security stability in the East Asia region and its surroundings, causing strong criticism from several countries such as the United States and even the UN Security Council. The purpose of this study is to find out 1) The relationship between North Korea and the United States in history; 2) The policies of the United States government before Trump; 3) The policies of the Trump government to stabilize the East Asia region. This study uses a historical approach to literature study. The results of the research discussion 1) North Korea is a country that was formed as a result of World War II. The Korean War sparked because of the dispute between the United States (South Korea) and the Soviet Union (North Korea) there was no peace but the two countries made a ceasefire agreement; 2) Before Trump became president, previous presidents had policies to reduce the nuclear power owned by North Korea such as President Clinton with the agreed framework, President George W Bush with the Six-Party Talks, President Barack Obama with "Strategic Patience"; 3) During the Donald Trump administration, the policy through Trump's harsh criticism speech to North Korea, Maximum pressure and high-level diplomacy became one of the policies issued by Trump. In addition, Trump also conducted High-Level Diplomacy Trump met directly with the North Korean government Kim Jong-un to reduce North Korea's nuclear.
