Abstract

The aim of the research is to strengthen Qur'anic character through guidance and counseling for students in elementary schools. The research method uses a qualitative approach to phenomenological studies in elementary schools based on the Koran in daily life. Data collection uses observation instruments, interviews, documentation studies of school programs related to Qur'anic characters. Validation is applied using triangulation techniques. The data analysis used is interactive model analysis with data collection, reduction, data display and verification. The results of the research explain that teachers' efforts to internalize Qur'anic characters through guidance and counseling are carried out individually and classically. Individually, in the form of instructions to students to understand the Al-Qur'an by reciting it, reading, studying, practicing and teaching it. Classically through tahfidz, teacher example, students' Qur'anic character habituation programs.

Abstract

Lingkungan sekolah mendorong kedekatan siswa dengan teman sebayanya, yang kemudian berdampak pada harga diri siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peer attachment terhadap self-esteem siswa melalui bimbingan klasikal serta mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif eksperimental dengan desain Pre-Experimental One-group Pretest-Posttest Design. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala peer attachment adaptasi dari Inventory of Parent and Peer attachment (IPPA) dan skala self-esteem adaptasi dari Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) yang keduanya berupa skala Likert. Reliabilitas Inventory of Parent and Peer attachment (IPPA) sebesar 0.864; dan reliabilitas Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) sebesar 0.685. Subjek dalam penelitian diperoleh menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 40 siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Nurul Ikhlas. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan klasikal berperan langsung dalam meningkatkan self-esteem siswa, di mana koefisien regresi 0.207 menunjukkan hubungan positif antara peer attachment dan self-esteem, serta nilai posttest lebih tinggi dari pretest dengan perbedaan mean -1.150 dan nilai Cohen's d 3.355. Hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan klasikal dapat menunjukkan perannya dalam perubahan self-esteem siswa.

Abstract

This research is the result of three individual counseling meetings on 3 students of class VIII SMP IT Al-Luthfah, the main basis of the counseling conducted is preventive, curative, and development. This research is also based on the results of the assessment with the BK instrument, namely the Inventory of Developmental Tasks (ITP) which produces the lowest items related to relationships with peers, then from these results an activity design is formed, such as (1) Introductions, approaches, and establishing an agreement on the time and place of counseling, (2) Collecting client data or information by assessment, (3) Setting activity strategies, (4) Implementation of counseling, (5) Evaluation and results. This research uses a descriptive research methodology with a qualitative approach, which focuses on (1) The results of the management of thequestionnaires, (2) results of the lowest developmental level one-point aspects, (3) and descriptions of direct observation results and reflection/evaluation sheets to determine the level of understanding reflection/evaluation sheets and interviews to determine the level of problems experienced by students. The results of the counseling meeting show that the level of student problems is quite crucial to improve and by providing individual counseling services the student concerned feels this meeting is appropriate for his development to be more optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of group counseling with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques in helping students manage academic stress at the Tahfizh Daarul Qur'an Takhassus Cikarang Islamic Boarding School. The academic pressure faced by students is caused by various factors, including the demands of meeting the target of memorizing the Qur'an, difficulty in memorizing, and a busy schedule of activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The qualitative descriptive approach provides an in-depth understanding of changes in students' mindsets, emotions, and coping strategies after participating in the CBT group counseling intervention. The results showed that 5 students experienced academic stress levels, characterized by low motivation to memorize and anxiety about memorization targets. The results showed that after participating in the CBT group counseling session, students experienced a decrease in academic stress levels, increased awareness in managing negative thoughts, and the development of skills in dealing with academic pressure more positively. Around 85% of students reported that they felt calmer and less burdened when facing academic stress, compared to before participating in counseling. The results of this study indicate that group counseling using CBT techniques plays a role in helping students understand and manage academic stress through a more systematic approach. Thus, this method can be a reference in developing guidance and counseling services in Islamic boarding schools to improve psychological well-being and student learning motivation

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the internal and external factors that cause students to violate discipline at school. This research includes descriptive research, meaning research that describes a situation as it is. The total population of this study were students who committed disciplinary violations at SMP Negeri 19 Jambi City, amounting to 106 students. From the total population that has been described, so that this study is representative. Then all members of the population is the sample of this study or totaling sampling. Data obtained from the results of filling out questionnaires by respondents, the questionnaire totaled 38 items with two yes and no answers. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by using percentage data analysis techniques, and using interpretation criteria. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the factors that caused students' discipline violations from internal were habits 8.51%, behavior 10.73%, interests 8.41%, values and morals 16.21%. While from the external, namely the family environment 11.89%, relationships with friends 7.18%, school environment 4.86%, and subjects 9.03%. In accordance with the results of the study, it is hoped that all relevant parties can anticipate disciplinary violations in schools. Various forms of assistance and guidance can be provided to students, especially from the parents.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a pivotal role in Indonesian education by integrating religious values, character building, and academic achievement. However, many students struggle with time management, often leading to unfinished tasks and reduced personal growth. This study aimed to examine the implementation and impact of group guidance utilizing time management techniques to improve task-related discipline among santri at Pesantren Al-Asyhar, Central Kalimantan. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participant observation, interviews, self-report questionnaires, and document analysis involving six purposively selected santri. The findings revealed that structured group guidance sessions significantly improved students’ punctuality in completing tasks, adherence to schedules, and ability to prioritize responsibilities, as reflected in both quantitative gains and qualitative testimonies from teachers and caretakers. Nevertheless, persistent challenges were observed in the area of independent schedule creation, indicating a need for ongoing mentorship. This research contributes a contextually grounded intervention model that integrates pesantren values and local culture, addressing gaps in both national and international literature. The study demonstrates practical benefits for educators, counselors, and policymakers by offering an effective strategy to foster discipline and self-management skills within pesantren and similar educational settings. For future research, it is recommended to investigate the long-term sustainability of such interventions, their scalability to other contexts, the integration of digital tools, and potential variations by gender and age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengamati dan mendeskripsikan perilaku remaja maladaptif dengan latar belakang keluarga Broken Home di SMP Negeri 18 Tangerang. Metode penelitian dengan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus pada siswa yang mengalami Broken Home. Dalam pengumpulan data tersebut melibatkan informan guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK), orang tua dan siswa yang mengalami perilaku maladaptif yang berasal dari keluarga Broken Home. Penentuan informan menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru BK yang menunjukkan bahwa mereka benar-benar mengalami kondisi keluarga Broken Home dan berdampak pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis interaktif berdasarkan teori Milles Hubberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan diakhiri dengan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di SMP Negeri 18 Tangerang memiliki peran penting dalam mengatasi perilaku maladaptif ini melalui layanan konseling kelompok. Konseling kelompok bertujuan membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan interpersonal, mengelola emosi, dan mengubah perilaku negatif menjadi positif. Proses konseling meliputi beberapa tahap: pembentukan, pelestarian, kegiatan, dan penutup, yang dirancang untuk membangun dinamika kelompok dan mencapai tujuan konseling.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an is a core tradition in Islamic education, promoting spiritual growth and the preservation of divine revelation. However, traditional rote memorization methods often overlook individual learning styles and emotional barriers, leading to challenges in long-term retention and comprehension. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Quantum Makky method combined with individual counseling in enhancing the memorization and understanding of Qur'anic verses, specifically Surah An-Naba (verses 4, 5, and 6) at Rumah Tahfiz Mafaza 3. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key patterns. The findings revealed that Quantum Makky gestures significantly improved memory retention by creating strong cognitive links between physical movements and textual meanings. For instance, using a single finger to denote certainty in verse 4 (كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ) and spreading hands to symbolize the earth's vastness in verse 6 (أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا) effectively reinforced the memorization process. Additionally, individual counseling addressed psychological barriers, enhancing self-confidence, learning motivation, and emotional resilience. This approach resulted in notable improvements in four areas: memory retention, comprehension, learning motivation, and public recitation confidence. The study highlights the value of integrating multisensory learning with personalized support, providing a practical framework for enhancing cognitive retention and emotional resilience in Qur'anic education. Future research should explore the scalability of this approach and consider integrating digital tools for broader application.
