Abstract

The History of Islamic Culture is a very important lesson for students to learn because it is one part of Islamic Religious Education subjects which is directed at preparing students to know, understand, live the History of Islamic Culture, which then becomes the basis of their way of life through guidance activities. , teaching, training, use of experience and habituation. SKI Madrasah Tsanawiyah subjects include: History of the Umayyad, Abbasid and al-Ayubiyah dynasties. Another thing that is very basic lies in the ability to explore values, meanings, axioms, compassion/wisdom, propositions and theories from existing historical facts. In the subject of Islamic Cultural History, in reality, students are less interested. The research location was at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Ilmi Batang Quiz related to the learning process, obstacles and solutions to learning obstacles of Islamic Cultural History. The method we use is a descriptive qualitative method. The objects we examined were students and teachers at the school. From the results of the research that we obtained, the implementation of SKI learning had gone well according to the contents of the lesson plan made by the SKI teacher. However, there were several obstacles that occurred during the ski learning process, namely other class students were in class when learning was taking place, students were busy, students were drawing during learning, students did not bring packages or modules, students were eating and drinking while learning was taking place, and so forth. In addition, the teacher's efforts in these obstacles are by reprimanding him and asking the student to enter the class, remaining calm and giving the task to the student, admonishing and returning their attention to the lesson by ordering them to read, by asking the reason students don't bring packages or module when students do not bring the module (package), and several other solutions.

Abstract

The success of the development process in various aspects of life cannot be separated from the contribution of administrative science to the development of all aspects of government administration in a country. Qualitative research is a research method that produces descriptive data in oral or written form about people and visible behavior. Researchers use the instructions provided by each data collection method to carry out data collection techniques. Data collection techniques include observation and document review. In this research, qualitative data analysis is carried out interactively and continues continuously until the end, so that the material is completely absorbed until it is saturated. Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on data and verification are all activities involved in data analysis. Quality education requires a lot of input, including teaching materials (cognitive, emotional and psychomotor), technology, school facilities, administrative support facilities and infrastructure and other resources, as well as creating a conducive environment for learning. When talking about educational outcomes, the term "quality" refers to the results or achievements achieved by a school at a certain time. Even academic success can be the result of conditions that cannot be physically possessed (intangible), such as an environment that prioritizes discipline, closeness, mutual respect, a desire to be clean, and so on.

Abstract

Many elementary students struggle to develop mathematical analysis skills, particularly in data processing, due to the dominance of teacher-centered learning approaches that limit student engagement. This study aims to examine the effect of a child-friendly Joyful Learning model on the mathematical analysis skills of sixth-grade students in an elementary madrasah. A quantitative, quasi-experimental design was employed in this study. The participants were 70 sixth-grade students at MIN 4 Medan City, divided into an experimental and a control class. The experimental class was taught using the child-friendly Joyful Learning model, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected through classroom observation and a mathematical analysis ability test in the form of essay questions. The data were analyzed using N-gain analysis and an Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that students in the experimental class achieved a high N-gain score of 0.84, whereas those in the control class achieved a moderate N-gain score of 0.35. Hypothesis testing revealed that the calculated t value exceeded the critical value at the p < 0.001 significance level, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups. These findings demonstrate that the child-friendly Joyful Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical analysis skills when processing data. Therefore, this learning model can be considered an effective alternative instructional approach for improving mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level.
