Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify early childhood teachers' perceptions of STEAM-based learning. This qualitative research will be analyzed descriptively, and semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions will be conducted with four early childhood education (ECE) teachers in Banda Aceh. The findings show that ECE teachers' perceptions of STEAM-based learning techniques have a high potential to be implemented in Banda Aceh City ECEs, as the respondents have used aspects of STEAM in their learning. Teachers' lack of knowledge of STEAM-based learning approaches and procurement of materials and funds to fulfil STEAM learning needs are barriers to integrating STEAM in ECE institutions in Banda Aceh. More STEAM socialization and STEAM learning implementation training is needed for ECE teachers in Aceh in general.

Abstract

Indonesia's archipelago presents a distinctive opportunity for targeted sustainable development due to its complex interplay of economic advancement and environmental challenges. To better understand this dynamic and identify potential areas for focused intervention, this study applied K-means clustering to 2022 data on the Air Quality Index (AQI), electricity consumption, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The analysis aimed to delineate the provinces into three distinct clusters, providing a clearer picture of the varying levels of economic development and environmental impact across the nation's diverse islands. Each cluster reflects specific environmental and economic dynamics, suggesting tailored policy interventions. The results show that for provinces in Cluster 1, which exhibit moderate environmental quality and lower economic activity, the introduction of sustainable agricultural enhancements, eco-tourism, and renewable energy initiatives is recommended. Cluster 2, marked by higher economic outputs and moderate environmental conditions, would benefit from the implementation of smart urban planning, stricter environmental controls, and the adoption of clean technologies. Finally, Cluster 3, which includes highly urbanized areas with robust economic growth, requires expanded green infrastructure, improved sustainable urban practices, and enhanced public transportation systems. These recommendations aim to foster balanced economic growth while preserving environmental integrity across Indonesia’s diverse landscapes.

Abstract

Tantrums are a common behavioral issue in early childhood, characterized by intense and excessive emotional outbursts that occur in specific situations. These episodes often reflect the child's limited ability to articulate needs or emotions verbally. This study aimed to identify and analyze the strategies employed by teachers in managing tantrum behaviors among early childhood learners at PAUD Permata Ibu and TKS IT Misbahul Ikhlas in Aceh Besar. A qualitative descriptive approach was used in this research, employing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The subjects of the study were four teachers from Class A in early childhood education institutions, with the object of the research focusing on the strategies these teachers implemented in managing tantrums.The findings revealed that teachers use structured and empathetic methods, allowing children to express emotions under close supervision. Once calm, teachers engage in gentle communication to address the root of the tantrum and guide children toward better behavior by explaining consequences. Emotional bonding, such as hugs or gentle touches, provides comfort, while corrective actions, like marking fingers with tape to deter harmful behavior, remain educational. Teachers also redirect attention to positive activities and provide encouragement to boost confidence and emotional regulation. These strategies highlight the importance of patience, empathy, and tailored approaches to foster emotional growth and self-control in young children.

Abstract

Program tahfidz Al-Qur’an merupakan salah satu pengembangan program yang dilakukan oleh sekolah untuk mendukung penanaman karakter islami pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan program tahfidz Al-Qur’an anak usia dini di PAUD IK Nurul Quran Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah satu orang koordinator program tahfidz Al-Qur’an, satu orang guru tahfidz Al-Qur’an, dan satu orang kepala sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dilakukan melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan program tahfidz Al-Qur’an di PAUD IK Nurul Quran dilakukan melalui 4 tahap. Pertama, perencanaan program tahfidz Al-Qur’an anak usia dini. Kedua, pengorganisasian program tahfidz Al-Qur’an anak usia dini. Ketiga, pelaksanaan program tahfidz Al-Qur’an anak usia dini. Keempat, evaluasi program tahfidz Al-Qur’an anak usia dini.AbstractThe tahfidz Al-Qur’an program is one of the program developments carried out by the school to support the installation of islamic character in early childhood. This research aims to examine the development of early childhood tahfidz Al-Qur’an program at PAUD IK Nurul Quran Aceh Besar. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects were one coordinator of the tahfidz Al-Qur’an program, one tahfidz Al-Qur’an teacher, and one Headmaster. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The data analysis technique was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research result show that the development of tahfidz Al-Qur’an program at PAUD IK Nurul Quran was carried out through 4 stages. First, planning for the early childhood tahfidz Al-Qur’an program. Second, organizing the early childhood tahfidz Al-Qur’an program. Third, implementation of the early childhood tahfidz Al-Qur’an program. Fourth, evaluation of the early childhood tahfidz Al-Qur’an program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pembelajaran hafalan surah pendek untuk anak di TK Islam Al-Azhar Cairo Banda Aceh. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 orang guru Kelas B1 dan 1 Kepala Sekolah. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran hafalan surah pendek meliputi pembiasaan muraja’ah dengan metode talqin, talaqqi, dan jarimatika. Target hafalan di TK-B mulai dari surah Al-Fatihah sampai surah Ad-Dhuha. Guru lebih fokus pada perbaikan pengucapan huruf pada pembelajaran hafalan surah pendek. Penilaian dilakukan menggunakan buku mutaba’ah. Kesulitan yang dihadapi guru antara lain antara lain perbedaan kemampuan hafalan, pengucapan makharijul huruf, dan kurang konsistennya dalam melakukan muraja’ah di rumah. Guru terus memotivasi anak dan bekerjasama dengan orangtua. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan yang berguna bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran hafalan surah pendek untuk anak

Abstract

Strategi guru dalam mengelola kelas merupakan sebuah prosedur yang diterapkan untuk menata ruang dan mengorganisasi peserta didik sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan program pembelajaran yang telah direncanakan yang dapat mendukung pencapaian pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam pengelolaan kelas oleh guru di TKIT Syeikh Abdurrauf Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru meliputi penataan dinding dan pemilihan warna ruangan, pengaturan lalu lintas di kelas, menjaga kebersihan dan kerapihan kelas, penyimpanan bahan dan perlengkapan belajar, pengaturan area aktivitas, mendorong interaksi antar anak, membangun hubungan baik dengan peserta didik, dan mengelola kondisi lingkungan kelas sebelum, selama, dan setelah pembelajaran.

Abstract

Learning media is something that educators must prepare to improve the quality of learning. Apart from that, the improvement of student character based on Pancasila must also be fostered by an educator in students.  Student dependence on smartphones cannot be avoided, which has an impact on student character. Therefore, digital-based learning media is needed with a student Pancasila character approach. This research aims to develop the Geography Science in Al-Qur'an (GeoScienQu) Android application as an innovative geography learning medium, focusing on improving the character of high school students in Banda Aceh. This application is designed by integrating geography learning contained in the Al-Qur'an as a source of knowledge, and strengthening student character. The research results of the validity of the Geoscienqu application media before repairs were 86% and after repairs the results were 96.59%. Testing the effectiveness of the Geoscienqu application for material validation was 96.48% with very feasible criteria. Meanwhile, the practicality test of the Geoscienqu application in a small group was 86.75% and the practicality test in a large group was 88.25% with very practical criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the Geoscienqu application can be used as a learning medium to increase students' Pancasila profile.
