Abstract

This research presents the role of teachers in building student character values in one of the educational institutions in Medan. Structured interviews were conducted to be able to obtain data and information with certainty from the interviewees, then the results of the interviews were transcribed and checked. This study provides three important themes including the value of student character values, the role of teachers in building student character and challenges and strategies in changing student character. This study confirms that teachers have an important role in every student character development, by communicating in coaching students and building student character through existing organizations.

Abstract

This literature research aims to compile and describe the role of managers in improving employee performance. The method used is the library research method. The data collection method used is the documentation method. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. To maintain the accuracy of the assessment and prevent errors in information in data analysis, cross-library checks are carried out and re-reading the literature and paying attention to the reviewer's comments. The results of this study show that the better the motivation provided by managers, the more significant it can improve employee performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi yang diterapkan oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru di MAS Al-Wasliyah 22 Tembung. Kedisiplinan guru menjadi aspek krusial dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif dan berdampak pada mutu pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan berbagai strategi seperti pendekatan persuasif, keteladanan, penerapan aturan yang konsisten, monitoring dan evaluasi rutin, peningkatan motivasi, serta penguatan hubungan kekeluargaan di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi antara ketegasan, komunikasi yang baik, dan suasana kerja yang positif dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research explores the application of an Open Systems Approach to improve the quality of learning in the digital era. The background of the research is based on the significant transformation in education due to the advancement of digital technology, which presents challenges in effective technology integration and equitable access. The research method used is library research, analysing literature related to the Open System Approach and learning quality in the digital era. The findings show three important aspects of implementing the Open Systems Approach: first, Collaborative Project-Based Learning (PBPK). Second, the flexibility of learning methods. Third, digital portfolio-based evaluation that facilitates documentation of work, encourages self-reflection, and enables more personalised feedback. The findings suggest that the Open Systems Approach, through the implementation of these strategies, can effectively improve the quality of learning in the digital era.
