Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of parental involvement on the quality of education, the impact of public relations management programs on the quality of education, the impact of parental involvement and public relations management programs on the quality of education with collaboration as mediation. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were several parents of students taken purposively, as well as the head of the SDN Cilegon 04 Committee, a representative of the community. The results of the study indicate that (1) parental involvement plays an important role in the quality of education such as actively assisting children to study at home, good communication with the school, and supporting school program activities, (2) Public relations management programs have a major impact on improving the quality of education. Effective public relations management can contribute to schools in creating positive relationships with the community, increasing parental involvement and strengthening the school's good name, (3) Public relations management is the most important part in connecting communication and collaboration between school residents, parents of students and the community so that there is no misinterpretation. Abstract

This study aims to find out the influence of transformational leadership of school principals and school culture on teacher performance at SDN Purut. The research uses a quantitative a correlational approach involving all teachers at SDN Purut as respondents, consist of 11 teachers. The research instruments are questionnaires developed based on indicators of transformational leadership, school culture, and teacher performance variables. Descriptive analysis results shows that transformational leadership of the school principal is categorized as high and very high, school culture is classified as very high, and teacher performance is generally categorized as high and very high. Inferential analysis shows that partially, transformational leadership significantly influences on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient (R) = 0.643 and coefficient of determination (R²) = 0.413. School culture also significantly influences with R = 0.634 and R² = 0.402. Simultaneously, both variables give a very significant effect on teacher performance with R = 0.993 and R² = 0.987. It shows that 98.7% of the variation on teacher performance can be explained by transformational leadership and school culture. It can be concluded that transformational leadership and a strong school culture play an essential role in improving teacher performance. Therefore, strengthening an inspirational leadership style and creating a positive school culture should be continuously developed to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

The leadership of school principals plays a strategic role in shaping the direction, culture, and quality of education in elementary schools. In the context of increasing demands for educational quality and global competitiveness, effective leadership has become more urgent in achieving high-performing elementary schools. This study aims to examine the contribution of principal leadership in realizing excellent elementary schools through a literature review approach. A systematic review was conducted using articles published between 2015 and 2024, selected based on relevance and sourced from nationally and internationally accredited journals. Thematic analysis was employed to identify leadership patterns and practices that contribute to school excellence. The findings reveal that transformational, participatory, and vision-oriented leadership significantly contributes to improving teacher performance, parental involvement, school climate, and student achievement. These results suggest that effective principal leadership is a key factor in the sustainable development of elementary school quality. Therefore, strengthening principal leadership capacity should be prioritized in basic education policies.
