Abstract

Background: Promotive and preventive efforts are important factors as an effort to reduce morbidity in the elderly. One form of promotive and preventive effort to manage anxiety in the elderly can be done with physical and spiritual activities, namely spiritual relaxation. Objective: As an effort to increase the knowledge and skills of elderly people in preventing anxiety. Method: The method used is providing counseling and demonstration of Spiritual Relaxation. Results: It was found that 80% of participants were able to know the purpose of doing Spirotive Relaxation, 70% of participants were able to know the indications and contraindications of Spirotive Relaxation, and 75% of participants were able to know how to do Spirotive Relaxation. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the knowledge and abilities of elderly people regarding spiritual relaxation as an effort to prevent anxiety.  With counseling and demonstrations of Spirotive Relaxation, it is hoped that seniors can independently prevent anxiety.

Abstract

Lansia akan mengalami perubahan biologis, psikologis dan sosial sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan masalah kesehatan. Ketidakmampuan beradaptasi dengan tugas perkembangan lansia cenderung mengalami permasalahan psikososial, seperti kesepian, kesedihan, depresi sekaligus ansietas. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan buat mengenali pengaruh Relaksasi Spinomari terhadap tingkatan kecemasan lanjut usia. Quasi Eksperiment digunakan dalam Desain penelitian ini melalui Prepost tes kontrol group. Sampelnya diperoleh 24 responden. Relaksasi Spinomari merupakan Variabel independennya dalam penelitian ini, sedangkan variabel dependennya tingkatan cemas. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuis GAI (Geriatric Anxiety Inventory). Kemudian data diolah melalui aplikasi SPSS for Windows dengan uji Wilcoxon serta Mann Whitney. Analisis perbandingan efektifitas Relaksasi Spinomari terhadap perubahan skor tingkat kecemasan pada kedua kelompok didapatkan hasil “p = 0,000 (p<0,05)” yang berarti terdapat perbedaan skor tingkat kecemasan antara kelompok perlakuan sekaligus kontrol. Relaksasi Spinomari mengurangi kecemasan pada lansia. dalam kegiatan latihan relaksasi Spinomari dilaksanakan selama 10 menit setiap hari selama 3 hari dapat membantu meningkatkan kenyamanan bagi orang lanjut usia untuk merasakan rileks sehingga berdampak penurunan kecemasan

Abstract

Abstrak Perilaku kekerasan berbasis bullying yang sering  terjadi di lingkungan sekolah, telah menjadi masalah serius mempengaruhi krisis kesehatan mental anak usia sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan KPAI  didapat data siswa sebagai pelaku bullying sebesar 51% dan korban sebesar 35.55%. Anak-anak sebagai pelaku maupun korban dari bullying sangat berisiko tinggi mengalami kondisi psikologis darurat, dimana keadaan mental yang mengancam kesejahteraan psikologi anak. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan pemberian pendidikan kesehatan pada anak sekolah usia 7-12 tahun, supaya kegiatan ini menjadi alat penting menciptakan generasi sehat mental bebas dari dampak negatif bullying dapat berkontribusi pada lingkungan lebih harmonis dan  aman. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini digunakan tiga tahapan metode yaitu perencanaan meliputi pembuatan proposal, perijinan, pebuatan media pendidikan PPT, implementasi  pemberian pendidikan kepada anak sekolah serta diskusi dengan PPT dan LCD, evaluasi diberikan kuisioner pre dan post kepada peserta dengan menganalisa perubahan score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pendidikan kesehatan pada anak sekolah dasar terdapat peningkatan score pengetahuan sebesar 13.9%. Maka tindakan pendidikan kesehatan direkomendasikan sebagai promosi kesehatan membantu mengurangi perilaku kekerasan yang disebabkan oleh dampak bullying di lingkungan sekolah dengan adanya kolaborasi yang sinergis antara pihak sekolah, keluarga, dan tenaga kesehatan dalam menciptakan lingkungan aman yang mendukung peningkatan kesehatan mental anak. Kata kunci: anak sekolah, kegawatdarutan, bullying, pengetahuan, pendidikan kesehatan   Abstract   Bullying-based violent behaviour occurs in school environment has become a serious problem affecting the mental health crisis of elementary school children. KPAI data based obtained  students as perpetrators of bullying was 51% and victims were 35.55%. Children as perpetrators or victims bullying are at high risk of experiencing emergency psychological conditions, where mental conditions threaten  psychological well-being of children. The purpose community service  provided  health education in school to children aged 7–12 years. This activity became  important tool to create mentally healthy generation free from bullying  negative impacts can contribute  more harmonious and safe environment. This community service activity used three stages methods, namely planning, including making proposals and permits, making PPT educational media, the implementation  provided  education to schoolchildren and discussions with PPT and LCD, then evaluation was given pre- and post-questionnaires to participants by analyzing changes in scores. The study results showed health education program for elementary school children increased knowledge scores by 13.9%. Therefore, health education actions will be recommended as health promotion to help reduce violent behaviour caused by impact bullying in environment school with synergistic collaboration between schools, families, and healthcare professionals  to  safe environment, supports improving children's mental health.  Keywords: school children, emergencies, bullying, knowledge, health education

Abstract

During education, nursing students need a positive self-concept as a psychological condition as an internal motivation to encourage the formation performance professionals in emergency nursing competencies. The development of self-concept in role component includes individual perceptions ability, and self-confidence has an impact commencement of self-awareness to a professional role in nursing care in emergency work environment adequately. This study aimed analyze correlation between the role of self-concept and emergency nursing competencies to nursing students in Indonesia. Research method used a quantitative approach cross-sectional design with samples of 576 people. Data collection was a questionnaire covering the role of the professional concept self nursing and emergency nursing competencies assessment based on Association of Nursing Vocational Education Institutions Indonesian and  Association of Indonesian Nursing Education Institutions. This study results showed a significant correlation with p value 0.000 (r = 0.534**). This study will provide implications development nursing curricula in Indonesia and emphasize more aspect developing mental readiness of self-concept as an integral part of nursing education, counselling, intensive training, and providing constructive feedback with professional guidance can contribute to increasing student readiness in facing challenges emergency nursing clinical practice.

Abstract

Abstrak  Perubahan struktur demografis global menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada populasi lansia, termasuk di Indonesia. Lansia kerap menghadapi berbagai tantangan psikososial seperti penurunan fungsi kognitif, kecemasan, stres, dan kehilangan peran sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan intervensi yang holistik, murah, dan mudah diimplementasikan di komunitas. Brain Gym atau senam otak merupakan pendekatan non-farmakologis berbasis gerakan sederhana yang terbukti dapat mengoptimalkan fungsi otak dan kesehatan mental. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan lansia dalam mempraktikkan gerakan Brain Gym. Kegiatan dilakukan pada 25 lansia di Posyandu Dusun Ngemplak, Kediri, melalui metode edukasi dan pelatihan partisipatif. Lansia dikenalkan dengan lima gerakan utama Brain Gym: Cross Crawl, Hook-Ups, Brain Buttons, Lazy 8s, dan Positive Points. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan awal berada pada angka rata-rata 25%, dan meningkat menjadi 86% pada post-test. Pada aspek praktik, hanya 12% lansia yang mampu melakukan seluruh gerakan dengan benar sebelum pelatihan, sedangkan setelah pelatihan, 84% peserta mampu melakukannya secara mandiri dan percaya diri. Intervensi ini terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan lansia dalam menjaga kesehatan otak dan jiwa melalui aktivitas fisik ringan. Brain Gym sangat potensial untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di komunitas lansia sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif dalam pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat.  Kata kunci: lansia, kesehatan jiwa, fungsi kognitif, Brain Gym, pengabdian masyarakat Abstract  The global demographic shift indicates a significant increase in the elderly population, including in Indonesia. Older adults often face various psychosocial challenges such as cognitive decline, anxiety, stress, and loss of social roles. Therefore, a holistic, low-cost, and community-friendly intervention is urgently needed. Brain Gym, or educational kinesiology, is a non-pharmacological approach involving simple body movements proven to optimize brain function and mental well-being. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of older adults in performing Brain Gym exercises. The program was conducted for 25 elderly participants at Posyandu Dusun Ngemplak, Kediri, using participatory education and training methods. The participants were introduced to five basic Brain Gym movements: Cross Crawl, Hook-Ups, Brain Buttons, Lazy 8s, and Positive Points. Pre-test results showed an initial average knowledge level of 25%, which increased to 86% after the session. In terms of practice, only 12% of participants could perform all movements correctly before the training, while 84% succeeded in doing them independently and confidently after the intervention. This program proved effective in enhancing both understanding and ability of the elderly in maintaining cognitive and emotional health through simple physical activities. Brain Gym has strong potential to be implemented sustainably in community settings as a promotive and preventive strategy within public health services.  Keywords: elderly, mental health, cognitive function, Brain Gym, community engagement

Abstract

Abstrak   Pendahuluan : Perilaku self-harm menjadi isu kesehatan mental yang semakin mengkhawatirkan di berbagai kalangan masyarakat, termasuk di tingkat desa. Kurangnya pemahaman dan informasi yang memadai mengenai self-harm dapat menghambat upaya pencegahan dan penanganan dini. Oleh karena itu, intervensi edukasi yang efektif diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat. Tujuan : Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas edukasi pencegahan perilaku self-harm terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat di Desa Pelem. Metode : Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif, dengan melibatkan warga desa Pelam yang tergabung dalam posyandu Dahlia dalam pelaksanaan program edukasi mengenai definisi, faktor risiko, dampak, dan cara pencegahan perilaku self-harm di masyarakat. Hasil : Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan. Sebelum diberikan edukasi pengetahuan dan pencegahan tentang self harm pada masyarakat desa pelem adalah 20%. Sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi tentang pencegahan perilaku self harm meningkat sejumlah 80%. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa edukasi yang diberikan efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Pelem tentang pencegahan perilaku self-harm. Kesimpulan : Edukasi pencegahan perilaku self-harm terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat di Desa Pelem. Peningkatan pengetahuan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada upaya deteksi dini, pencegahan, dan penanganan yang lebih baik terhadap isu self-harm di tingkat komunitas. Saran : Disarankan untuk mengembangkan program edukasi serupa dengan cakupan yang lebih luas dan metode yang lebih variatif. Kata kunci : Self Harm, Pengetahuan, Masyarakat Abstract Introduction: Self-harm behavior is an increasingly worrying mental health issue in various communities, including at the village level. Lack of understanding and adequate information about self-harm can hinder prevention and early treatment efforts. Therefore, effective educational interventions are needed to improve community knowledge. Objective: This community service aims to analyze the effectiveness of education on preventing self-harm behavior on improving community knowledge in Pelem Village. Method: The method used in this service is a participatory approach, involving Pelam villagers who are members of the Dahlia integrated health post in implementing an education program on the definition, risk factors, impacts, and how to prevent self-harm behavior in the community. Results: The results showed a significant increase. Before being given education, knowledge and prevention about self-harm in the Pelem village community was 20%. While after being given education about preventing self-harm behavior, it increased by 80%. This indicates that the education provided is effective in increasing the knowledge of the Pelem Village community about preventing self-harm behavior. Conclusion: Education on preventing self-harm behavior has proven effective in increasing community knowledge in Pelem Village. This increase in knowledge is expected to contribute to early detection, prevention, and better handling of self-harm issues at the community level. Abstract

Social anxiety is a psychological disorder commonly experienced by adolescents, especially during the transition to adulthood. Self-acceptance is believed to influence the level of social anxiety in adolescents. This study aims to identify the relationship between self-acceptance and social anxiety in seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Plemahan. The type of research is a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytic design and a cross-sectional approach was used. The sample consisted of 69 students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used included the Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A) and Berger’s Self-Acceptance Scale. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square tests. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female and aged 13. Most respondents exhibited moderate levels of both social anxiety and self-acceptance. A significant relationship was found between self-acceptance and social anxiety with a moderate relationship strength. Conclusion and suggestions in this research is increasing self-acceptance can be an effective strategy to reduce social anxiety in adolescents. It is recommended that schools develop counseling programs to support the enhancement of students' self-acceptance.

Abstract

Eating disorders are eating disorders that are often experienced by adolescents. Most adolescents consume unhealthy foods causing disturbed eating patterns. Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood, the transition includes many aspects, one of which is emotional mentality, which triggers deviant eating behavior known as eating disorders. This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional mental changes and eating disorders in adolescents aged 13-17 years in Tegalsari Village, Tulungrejo, Pare-Kediri. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach design. The population of adolescents with emotional mentality and eating disorders was taken by simple random sampling, a sample of 45 respondents was obtained. The independent variable in this study is emotional mentality which is measured using a questionnaire and the dependent variable in this study is eating disorders which are measured using a questionnaire with data processing using the Spearman rank test analysis. The results showed that of the 45 respondents, most of them experienced bad emotional mentality. and most of them had eating disorders with bad categories. based on the Spearman rank test, the p value = 0.012 was obtained, so H1 was accepted. The conclusion is that there is a close relationship between emotional mental changes and eating disorders in adolescents aged 13-17 years. Suggestion It is hoped that teenagers can maintain good mental health and eating patterns so that they can grow and develop according to their age.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Masa remaja merupakan fase perkembangan yang rentan terhadap masalah psikologis, termasuk kecemasan sosial yang dapat memengaruhi hubungan interpersonal dan prestasi akademik. Penerimaan diri berperan sebagai faktor protektif penting dalam mengurangi kecemasan sosial. Spiritual Integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (SI-CBT) dikembangkan dengan memadukan prinsip CBT dan nilai spiritual yang sesuai dengan budaya Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai efektivitas psikoedukasi berbasis SI-CBT dalam meningkatkan penerimaan diri dan menurunkan kecemasan sosial pada remaja. Metodologi: Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi experiment dengan pretest–posttest control group. Sebanyak 60 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Plemahan dipilih melalui purposive sampling dan dibagi dalam kelompok intervensi (n=30) dan kontrol (n=30). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A) dan Berger’s Self-Acceptance Scale. Psikoedukasi SI-CBT diberikan dalam enam sesi selama tiga minggu. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan paired t-test dan independent t-test/ANCOVA. Hasil: Kelompok intervensi menunjukkan peningkatan penerimaan diri dan penurunan kecemasan sosial yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Diskusi: Psikoedukasi berbasis SI-CBT terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan penerimaan diri dan menurunkan kecemasan sosial pada remaja, sehingga berpotensi diterapkan sebagai intervensi psikososial keperawatan jiwa di lingkungan sekolah untuk mendukung upaya promotif dan preventif kesehatan mental.
