Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment, commitment, personality of  UMKM  on HR loyalty through UMKM performance. The research was conducted in Kelambir Lima Kebun Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency. This type of research is associative research with quantitative descriptive method. The number of samples studied in this study were 50 respondents who were UMKM actors. Data analysis was carried out through PLS-SEM using the SmartPLS v. program. 3. The results of direct effect research show that the work environment, commitment and personality of  UMKM  have a positive and significant effect on UMKM performance. The personality of UMKM has a positive and significant effect on HR loyalty. The work environment has no positive and insignificant effect on HR loyalty. UMKM performance has a positive and significant effect on HR loyalty. While the results of the indirect effect research show that the work environment, commitment and personality of  UMKM  have a positive and significant effect on HR loyalty through UMKM performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to carry out mosque youth leadership training to improve the performance of the Mosque youth program located at the Al-Jihad Mosque in Bandar Baru. The design of the activities carried out is training in the form of socialization to productive adolescents. The PKM activities are divided into 2 (two) stages, namely 1) the initial stage of preparation, which consists of; (a) collect data on prospective trainees who are active in the youth organization of the Bandar Baru Al-Jihad Mosque, (b) conduct discussions with all implementers discussing the results of observations that have been made, (c) prepare the necessary training equipment and materials. 2) the stage of implementation of activities, in the form of presentation materials, discussions and questions and answers as well as simulations of leadership in the organization. Based on the conclusion of PKM activities that it is necessary to carry out leadership training activities for teenagers to improve the performance of mosque teenagers. Leadership must be evaluated, because if the youth organization Masjid Al-Jihad gets an organizational leader who has a leadership spirit, it will be easier to coordinate with all other administrators, the community and the local government to help improve the quality of Masjid Al-Jihad Bandar Baru. It is necessary to form a new board that is active and cares about the progress of the Mosque and has good communication between the administrators and the entire local community. The activities carried out at the Al-Jihad Mosque so far need to be added and innovated to make it more interesting and in particular can become a proselytizing shia for the wider community

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of community participation in improving the quality of public services in Pematang Serai Village, Langkat Regency. Based on the results of the study, it was found that community participation in improving the quality of public services in Pematang Serai Village can be said to be effective. This can be seen from several indicators, including: 1) Increasing transparency and accountability of public services, 2) improving the quality of public services and 3) increasing public satisfaction with public services. Factors that support the effectiveness of community participation in improving the quality of public services in Pematang Serai Village include: 1) Community understanding of the importance of participation, 2) village government alignment towards community participation and 3) community togetherness and cohesiveness. Community participation is one of the important factors in improving the quality of public services. With community participation, village governments can better understand community needs and provide higher quality public services.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role and effectiveness of UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in increasing community income in Desa Pematang Serai, Langkat, using a SWOT analysis and scoring approach. The findings reveal key strengths, such as the diversity of local products, the provision of job opportunities, and low operational costs due to the use of local resources. Major weaknesses include limited access to technology, insufficient business capital, and a lack of structured management. Opportunities identified include growing market awareness of local products, governmental and financial support, and the potential for digital market expansion. However, threats, such as competition from external products, fluctuations in raw material prices, and economic instability, pose challenges to UMKM growth.The weighted scores indicate that strengths have the most significant impact, with a total score of 3.30, emphasizing the potential for UMKM to boost local economic growth. Weaknesses scored a total of 2.75, indicating the need for improvements in technology access, financial support, and management. Opportunities, with a score of 2.50, highlight the importance of utilizing government support and digital marketing. Threats scored the lowest at 1.80, though they underscore the need for UMKM to adapt to external pressures. Overall, this analysis underscores the importance of supporting UMKM through improved financing, training, and sustainable practices to optimize their role in enhancing rural income.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan meningkatkan kinerja Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Kelambir Lima Kebun, Kecamatan Hamparan Perak, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini, dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan karyawan UMKM dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja bisnis mereka. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan, lokakarya, dan pembuatan materi panduan. Selama pelaksanaan kegiatan, dilakukan analisis situasi untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra UMKM. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diberikan solusi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mitra, seperti pelatihan keterampilan manajemen, pemasaran, dan pengembangan produk. Partisipasi aktif mitra dalam kegiatan ini menjadi kunci kesuksesan implementasi strategi peningkatan kinerja UMKM. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur efektivitas dan dampak kegiatan pengabdian, serta mengevaluasi capaian pembelajaran yang telah dicapai oleh mitra UMKM. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini, diharapkan UMKM di Desa Kelambir Lima Kebun dapat meningkatkan kinerja mereka dan berkontribusi lebih besar dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

The research analysis aims to find out whether situational leadership style partially has apositive and significant effect on the work performance of employees of the Fourpoints By SheratonMedan Hotel. Does work discipline partially have a positive and significant effect on the workperformance of Fourpoints By Sheraton Medan Hotel employees? Does partial work experiencehave a positive and significant effect on the work performance of Fourpoints By Sheraton MedanHotel employees. Whether situational leadership style, work discipline and work experiencesimultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the work performance of Fourpoints BySheraton Medan Hotel employees. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative researchmethod with the help of the SPSS program. This study uses multiple linear regression. The samplein this study was 42 respondents. Primary data collection uses questionnaires. The results of thestudy show that situational leadership style partially has a positive and significant effect on the workperformance of employees of the Fourpoints By Sheraton Hotel Medan. Work discipline partiallyhas a positive and significant effect on the work performance of Fourpoints By Sheraton MedanHotel employees. Work experience partially has a positive and significant effect on the workperformance of Fourpoints By Sheraton Medan Hotel employees. Situational leadership style, workdiscipline and work experience simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the workperformance of Fourpoints By Sheraton Medan Hotel employees.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a crucial factor in determining the quality of education, as high-performing teachers are able to create effective and innovative learning processes that support students’ competency development. This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal’s charismatic leadership (X₁) and teacher motivation (X₂) on teacher performance (Y) at SMP Panca Budi Medan, as well as to examine the role of motivation as a supporting factor in improving teacher performance. A quantitative approach with an associative explanatory method was employed, involving all 40 teachers of SMP Panca Budi Medan as the research sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing through partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) analyses. The results indicate that all research instruments are valid and highly reliable, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.977 for X₁, 0.968 for X₂, and 0.962 for Y. The classical assumption tests were fulfilled, indicating that the regression model is appropriate for analysis. Multiple regression analysis reveals that charismatic leadership has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (B = 0.965; Sig. = 0.000), while teacher motivation also shows a positive effect but is not statistically significant (B = 0.049; Sig. = 0.267). The F-test demonstrates that X₁ and X₂ simultaneously have a significant effect on Y (F = 174.318; Sig. = 0.000), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.904. These findings confirm that charismatic leadership is the primary factor in enhancing teacher performance, while motivation functions as a supporting factor that strengthens the influence of leadership. Principals who demonstrate charismatic leadership while providing motivational support can foster greater teacher professionalism and improve the overall quality of learning.
