Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang terdapat dalam anime Hotaru no Haka serta mendeskripsikan nilai moral apa saja yang ada pada tokoh utama dalam anime Hotaru no Haka, yaitu Seita Yokokawa dan Setsuko Yokokawa dianalisis menggunakan dua teori nilai moral. Teori pertama, yaitu teori jenis-jenis nilai moral dalam karya sastra menurut Nurgiyantoro, kemudian teori kedua nilai moral dalam bushido menurut Nitobe. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi pustaka kualitatf dan dipadukan dengan teknik simak catat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dari tiga jenis nilai moral dalam karya sastra menurut Nurgiyantoro, terdapat dua nilai moral pada Seita Yokokawa dan juga dua nilai moral pada Setsuko Yokokawa, semuanya merupakan nilai moral hubungan manusia dengan dirinya sendiri dan hubungan manusia dengan sesama manusia. Sedangkan, dari tujuh jenis nilai moral dalam bushido menurut Nitobe, terdapat enam nilai moral pada Seita Yokokawa, yaitu nilai moral keberanian, rasa kemanusiaan, kesopanan, ketulusan hati, kehormatan, dan kesetiaan, serta lima nilai moral pada Setsuko Yokokawa, yaitu nilai moral rasa kemanusiaan, kesopanan, ketulusan hati, kehormatan, dan kesetiaan.

Abstract

In learning to read, a condition is often encountered where a person has succeeded in reaching the last line of a reading, but he does not remember what he has read. Therefore, in learning dokkai besides requiring knowledge of kanji, vocabulary, grammar and understanding, it also requires working memory or momentary memory for each sentence that is read. The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation of Working Memory Capacity of Japanese learners based on the Dokkai ability test (reading span test, then to determine the increase in Working Memory capacity of Japanese learners after the use of ICT in Dokkai learning. The method used in this research is descriptive, with a descriptive-quantitative analysis which describes the correlation of working memory in Dokkai learning and the effectiveness of using ICT to improve Dokkai abilities.

Abstract

Pengabadian pada Masyarakat (P2M) ini mengangkat judul: Pengajaran Bahasa dan Budaya Indonesia untuk Mahasiswa Kanda University Japan. Pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah kolaborasi antara staf pengajar Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang, Bahasa Indonesia dan Seni Musik, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang bekerja sama dengan staf pengajar di Kanda University International Studies (KUIS), khususnya yang mengajar pada program keahlian bahasa Indonesia. Adapun tujuan dari P2M ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang perkembangan dan dinamika bahasa Indonesia serta perkembangan budaya Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam P2M ini adalah seminar online dan pembelajaran tatap muka langsung dengan mahasiswa Kanda University. Hasil yang didapat dari P2M ini adalah dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, para mahasiswa Kanda University terlihat antusian mengikuti pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, namun masih terlihat kesulitan memahami materi Bahasa Indonesia dalam sebuah lagu. Hal ini terlihat dari masih banyak yang belum bisa mengisi atau menjawab soal rumpang yang diberikan. Sementara itu, saat diperkenalkan alat musik tradisional angklung, para mahasiswa pun sangat antusias memperagakannya dan berhasil memainkan beberapa lagu dengan angklung. Pada saat lagu pertama, mereka belum bisa menyadari bunyi angklung yang dimainkannya karena lagu berbahasa daerah di Indonesia. Akan tetapi, pada saat memainkan lagu Jepang, mereka mulai menyadari bahwa angklung dapat dimainkan untuk lagu Jepang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce an interactive prototype of an Android-based e-module and to find out the opinions of experts and students regarding the prototype. This multi-year research was carried out to answer the needs of students in obtaining and accessing learning material that is easier, cheaper, and not only has practical value but also flexibility value. The research can be a reference in developing 21st Century skills-based Japanese learning media. The first year of research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The research took place from March to December 2021. Research’s sample was 21 students of Bunpou I, 2 media experts and 2 content experts. The results showed that this prototype got a score of 3.52 with category ‘very good’ for the content. It got 3.1 score for media display which is in category ‘good’. The results also showed that there are several notes for improving e-modules such as adding more interesting illustrations, improving forms and evaluation scores, improving user interfaces, adding sample sentences to reducing dependence on hyperlinks in the network. Most of the respondents liked this e-module and found it helpful in understanding basic level of Japanese easily. Bright color display makes learning less boring. The existence of videos, and exercises with a score system can also help increase learning motivation.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share model in enhancing students' speaking skills in the Kaiwa course and to assess their responses to this model. Given the interaction challenges in online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the use of applications such as Google Classroom and Zoom, the Think Pair Share model is recommended to improve speaking skills in this course at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study employs a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest setup, involving a purposive sampling based on final exam scores from the first semester. The instruments used are tests to measure speaking skills before and after the treatment, and a questionnaire to evaluate students' responses. Data analysis results show an increase in the average score from the pretest (48) to the posttest (73), representing a 25-point improvement. The Think Pair Share model proves effective in enhancing students' speaking skills, with students reporting increased confidence, better understanding of the material, and greater ease in interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance university students’ reading interest through the Tadoku approach in the Dokkai II course at the Japanese Language Education Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The background of this research is the low reading interest among students, which negatively affects their reading comprehension skills in Japanese. This study applied a mixed-method approach by combining quantitative and qualitative data collection. Data were obtained through pre- and post-intervention questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The intervention was carried out over 12 weeks using the Tadoku web platform, which allowed students to read texts based on their language proficiency level and interests. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' reading motivation, reading speed, and vocabulary acquisition. Furthermore, students showed high interest in digital reading materials and Japanese cultural content. It is concluded that the Tadoku approach is effective in fostering students’ interest and ability in reading Japanese. This research contributes to the development of engaging, interest-based reading strategies in Japanese language education.
