Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the financial literacy of students at Wasilatul Abror Islamic Boarding School in Central Lombok by fostering saving habits and basic financial planning skills. Financial literacy is an essential competency that should be instilled early to build responsible and independent individuals. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The implementation stage included delivering fundamental financial concepts, simulating personal budgeting, and practicing simple saving activities. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding and awareness of financial management. Students began to differentiate between needs and wants, allocate their pocket money more effectively, and set aside a portion for savings. The evaluation phase revealed positive changes in financial behavior and the development of basic life skills in money management. This program demonstrates that Islamic boarding schools can play a strategic role in embedding financial literacy and fostering students’ financial independence, preparing them to face future economic challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the need for accounting system reform in the context of coastal and marine development based on the principles of the Blue Economy to promote socio-ecological justice. Using a literature review method, the research analyzes various alternative accounting approaches capable of capturing the social, cultural, and ecological dimensions of marine development. The core emphasis lies in the importance of integrating full-cost accounting, natural capital accounting, and social return on investment (SROI), as well as the active involvement of local communities in the documentation and evaluation processes of coastal projects. The findings reveal that conventional accounting approaches fail to represent the inequities in the distribution of development benefits and burdens, highlighting the need for more inclusive and participatory methods to address these gaps. This study recommends the adoption of a more holistic and justice-based accounting system as a tool for fair, transparent, and sustainable reporting in coastal and marine development projects.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok marjinal di Desa Lingsar, Lombok Barat, melalui literasi akuntansi sederhana. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan kelompok marjinal dalam memahami dan mengelola keuangan, yang menjadi salah satu faktor penghambat daya saing usaha mereka. Dengan memperkenalkan akuntansi sederhana, kelompok-kelompok usaha diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan keuangan, sehingga dapat mengambil keputusan terkait usaha dengan lebih baik menggunakan informasi akuntansi sederhana. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan mengidentifikasi pengetahuan akuntansi dasar dan tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh kelompok marjinal dalam penerapan akuntansi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, materi pelatihan disusun secara praktis dan aplikatif untuk mendukung pemahaman yang lebih baik. Pelatihan intensif dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif dan dilengkapi dengan simulasi langsung penerapan akuntansi sederhana. Setelah pelatihan, pendampingan dilakukan untuk memastikan penerapan berkelanjutan, serta memberikan bimbingan teknis dalam pengelolaan usaha. Luaran yang ditargetkan meliputi peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan di kalangan peserta, penguatan daya saing usaha, dan publikasi ilmiah di jurnal nasional. Kegiatan ini diharapkan tidak hanya memberikan manfaat langsung berupa kemandirian ekonomi bagi kelompok marjinal, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada penguatan ekonomi lokal yang berkelanjutan.
