Abstract

Abstract

Banking plays a vital role in a country's economy as a financial intermediation institution that collects and distributes funds to the public. In their operations, conventional banks are required to comply with various regulations set by law and related authorities to maintain financial system stability and customer protection. Based on democratic and prudential economic principles, conventional banks aim to improve community welfare and support national development. However, the challenges faced, especially in credit-based financing models, require banks to focus more on customer success. Strict regulations aim to minimize risks in banking operations and maintain bank liquidity and solvency. In this context, the legal position of banking not only functions as a basis for legality, but also reflects social responsibility which is important for the sustainability of conventional bank operations, as well as strengthening customer trust amidst increasingly fierce competition.

Abstract

The increasing focus on sustainable tourism development underscores the need for eco-friendly transportation to minimise environmental impacts and maximise community benefits. Green Canyon, a leading natural tourism site in Pangandaran Regency, has introduced eco-friendly boats as part of its sustainable tourism initiatives. However, the readiness of this transportation mode has not been systematically assessed. This study aims to evaluate the readiness of eco-friendly boats as a sustainable mode of transportation using a quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 respondents across three stakeholder groups: local agencies, community members, and tourists. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse perceptions across social, economic, and environmental dimensions. The findings indicate a high level of readiness across all dimensions. Respondents largely agree that eco-friendly boats support environmental conservation, economic inclusivity, and social well-being. The study suggests that further policy support, community training, and environmental monitoring are necessary to strengthen the implementation of sustainable transport at Green Canyon.

Abstract

This article discusses strategies for empowering the Islamic economy through inclusive political policies, focusing on how Islamic economics can contribute to economic stability and welfare in Indonesia. Amid global economic uncertainty, Indonesia, as a predominantly Muslim country, has great potential to utilize the Islamic economic system as an alternative solution to economic crises. The empowerment strategies involve Islamic instruments such as zakat, infak, sedekah, and waqf, which aim to redistribute wealth and strengthen individual capacities, particularly for marginalized groups. Inclusive political policies in Islamic economics emphasize the importance of involving all stakeholders, including the government, the private sector, and the community, to create fair access to economic resources. Additionally, these policies support literacy and economic training efforts, as well as access to capital for vulnerable groups. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods to identify various inclusive political policies in Islamic economics, drawn from literature and in-depth interviews with Islamic economic experts.
