Abstract

Indonesia has become the country with the second highest number of tuberculosis cases in the world. In 2021, Indonesia recorded an incidence of 397,377 cases, with a significant number of cases originating from Tegal, Central Java, which reported 980 cases. The purpose of this study is to determine the compliance and effectiveness of TB medication usage and to examine the relationship between compliance, effectiveness, and patient sociodemographics. The study population consists of tuberculosis patients at the Tegal Selatan Community Health Center who underwent treatment from September 2023 to February 2024. The research method is quantitative causal. Data collection was conducted both retrospectively and prospectively. Compliance data were obtained through the MMAS-8 questionnaire, and effectiveness data were gathered by recording follow-up sputum examinations using the SITB (Tuberculosis Information System) software. The study included 30 respondents, with 50% male and 50% female. The majority (63.3%) were middle-aged adults (41-60 years old), 63.3% had less than 9 years of education, 60% were employed, 93.3% had an income at or below the minimum city wage, and 70% had 1-3 family dependents. 76.7% of respondents exhibited high compliance, 20% had moderate compliance, and 3.3% had low compliance. The effectiveness of medication usage was 96.7%. Chi-square analysis (95% CI) revealed a strong correlation between compliance and effectiveness with r = 0.707 (p-value = 0.033), and there was no significant relationship between patient sociodemographics and both compliance and effectiveness.

Abstract

Rokok adalah faktor risiko utama pemicu penyakit kardiovaskular diantaranya hipertensi, hal ini dikarenakan adanya kandungan zat dalam rokok yang berbahaya. bertujuan untuk mengetahui demografi, perbedaan dan hubungan tekanan darah antara pasien hipertensi perokok dengan tidak perokok di Puskesmas Maleber Kabupaten Kuningan. Metode penelitian dengan retrospektif dari rekam medis pasien dan observasi prospektif di rumah pasien setelah tiga hari pemberian terapi obat antihipertensi. Total sampel yang diambil yaitu sebanyak 74 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney, dan Uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik pasien hipertensi di wilayah tersebut didominasi oleh kelompok usia < 60 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki, riwayat hipertensi, dan menggunakan obat amlodipine. Uji Mann Whitney menemukan perbedaan penurunan tekanan darah penerima terapi obat antihipertensi antara pasien perokok dengan tidak perokok. Uji spearman menemukan obat antihipertensi pada pasien perokok dan tidak perokok menunjukkan pengaruh usia, jenis kelamin, riwayat hipertensi, dan jenis obat terhadap tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi. Pada perokok, usia dan riwayat hipertensi memiliki korelasi yang kuat dengan tekanan darah, sementara jenis kelamin dan nama obat memiliki korelasi cukup. Sedangkan pada yang tidak merokok usia memiliki korelasi yang cukup, sementara jenis kelamin, riwayat hipertensi, dan nama obat memiliki korelasi lemah.

Abstract

The food consumed by children greatly affects how they will live in the future. The amount of nutrition that enters a child's body affects their health and intelligence. Vitamin A and minerals Ca, Zn are vital components in the body for the process of growth and development, endurance, and other important functions. The purpose of this study was to see the intake of vitamins A, Ca, and Zn between stunted and non-stunted children. The research method is observational with a cross sectional design. The population is toddlers who live in Tegalwangi, Cirebon Regency. Sample with age 24-60   month that parents are willing to fill out the consent form as research subjects. The time for the study began in January-May 2023. Data was collected using the 3x24 hour nutritional recall questionnaire method, followed by converting nutritional intake through the Nutrisurvey software. The results of the study for the stunting group obtained an average intake of vitamin A 285.3RE ± 242.34RE, Ca 233.12mg±180.7mg and Zn 2.95mg ± 0.97mg. Meanwhile, for the non-stunted group, the average intake of vitamin A was 591.0RE±735.5RE, Ca 604.5mg±906.7mg and Zn 5.3mg±3.8mg. Analysis of the difference between the intake of the two groups resulted in a P -value of 0.009 for vitamin A intake, a P -value of 0.007 for Ca, a p-value of 0.000 for Zn. There is a significant difference between stunted and non-stunted children.
