Abstract

Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2002 on Broadcasting was born after the political struggle in Indonesia. It gave birth to the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) to equalize the ownership of radio and television, thus creating a diversity of content. But now KPI's authority is weaker after the House of Representatives passed the UU Cipta Kerja. KPI's role is only like an NGO. Now the Broadcasting Law will be revised by the House of Representatives. The Program is in the form of broadcast content, who supervises it, what is the role of KPI after the Undang-undang Cipta Kerja. Instead of being an independent institution, KPI now seems to be a broadcasting Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). This research uses a qualitative method. The research was conducted by interviewing KPI commissioners in various regions in Indonesia. The authority of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) as an independent body must remain firm and robust, standing as the leading regulator for broadcasting institutions, both radio and television, as well as for digital media content. For social justice in Indonesia, media ownership diversity must be regulated in the revised Broadcasting Law. Ensuring media ownership diversity across various regions and sectors is essential to prevent media ownership monopolies, which could result in only a few entities controlling television and radio broadcasting.

Abstract

Newspaper readers continue to decline and slowly shift to using digital media platforms to obtain information. This happens along with the development of information technology where many online media, social media and so on have emerged. The task and challenge of the print media is to expand its presence into the realm of new media, while continuing to guard the accuracy, credibility and trust that have been the hallmarks of mainstream media. The proliferation of the internet, which is increasingly accessible, has made the media convergence movement grow in particular. Media convergence also occurs in Radar Banten as one of the media that exists in the national arena. This research aims to find out the strategy of Radar Banten Daily to transform itself towards media convergence. The study, which is a qualitative research adopting a constructive paradigm, collected data through interviews and literature review. This research investigates the application of media convergence concept by Radar Banten in facing modern media transformation. Three convergence models, namely newsroom convergence, news gathering convergence, and content convergence, are analyzed as an effort to unify media operations through a holistic approach. The result of the research shows that the 3M strategy (multimedia, multichannel, multiplatform) allows Radar Banten to increase its content coverage, create inter-platform synergy, and strengthen their position in the midst of technological development. The editorial work pattern underwent significant changes, with projection meetings conducted online and deadline adjustments to support online and social media. Overall, this research concludes that Radar Banten is progressively adapting and innovating to stay relevant amidst mass media changes. The continuity of this effort is the key to their success in facing the dynamics of modern media.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the hospitality industry is increasingly important for improving the effectiveness of service communications and the quality of the guest experience, especially amidst technology-driven competition. This study aims to analyze Hilton Garden Inn Jakarta Taman Palem's readiness to implement digital transformation through an assessment of organizational aspects, service communications, and digital marketing strategies. The study employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing based on the Miles and Huberman model. The results indicate that the hotel is in the early stages of digitalization, characterized by limited technology utilization for operational functions, service communication quality that does not yet utilize interactive technology, and digital marketing strategies that are still informative and not data-driven. The OnQ system has not been optimally utilized due to variations in human resource digital capabilities, while guest experience support technologies such as self-check-in or automated services are not yet available. This study concludes that successful digital transformation requires improving employee digital literacy, developing more innovative service technologies, and formulating a more targeted digital communication strategy to support the hotel's competitive advantage.
