Abstract

Strategic planning in the educational environment needs to be improved to realize better quality madrasah education. The basis of this research is the fact that strategic planning through SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) is very important to manage the quality of education. The aim of this research is to describe the SWOT analysis of the internal and external environment as well as strategic planning in improving the quality of madrasah education through SWOT analysis. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Research object at MAN 2 Lebong. Data collection methods are through interviews, observation and document analysis, while data analysis techniques are through reduction, presentation and verification. The research results show that: first, the SWOT analysis of MAN 2 Lebong's internal environment has more advantages (Strengths) than disadvantages (Weaknesses). Second, the possibilities (Opportunities) are greater than the risks (Threats) in the SWOT analysis of the external environment. Third, by using SWOT analysis, strategic planning can improve the quality of madrasa services and the quality of madrasa education at MAN 2 Lebong. The SWOT matrix can also help determine the position of madrasahs in improving the quality of education. Keywords: SWOT analysis; Quality of Education; Strategic planning.   ABSTRAK Perencanaan strategis pada lingkungan pendidikan perlu ditingkatkan untuk mewujudkan kualitas pendidikan madrasah yang lebih baik. Dasar penelitian ini adalah Fenomena bahwa perencanaan strategis melalui analisis SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, dan Tthreats), sangat penting untuk mengelola kualitas mutu pendidikan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan analisis SWOT lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal serta perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan madrasah melalui analisis SWOT. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Objek penelitian di MAN 2 Lebong. Metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen, sedangkan teknik analisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, analisis SWOT lingkungan internal MAN 2 Lebong memiliki lebih banyak keuntungan (Strengths) daripada kerugian (Weaknesses). Kedua, kemungkinan (Opportunities) lebih besar daripada risiko (Tthreats) dalam analisis SWOT lingkungan eksternal. Ketiga, dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT, perencanaan strategis dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan madrasah dan mutu pendidikan madrasah di MAN 2 Lebong. Matriks SWOT juga dapat membantu menentukan posisi madrasah dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Kata kunci: Analisis SWOT; Mutu Pendidikan; Perencanaan strategis.

Abstract

Research publications are an important aspect of a student's academic journey. Publications can broaden knowledge horizons, share research findings, and strengthen academic reputation. The aim of this research is to build a conceptual model of institutional support for students research publications by examining the influential interactions between the variables of institutional support, students' intrinsic motivation, lecturer guidance, and the quality of research publications. Based on these four variables, six hypotheses were formulated. This quantitative research method uses the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the hypothesis model. A total of 124 postgraduate students from IAIN Curup were involved as participants to fill out questionnaires which have been proven to be valid and reliable. Data were analyzed using the SmartPLS application to evaluate measurement models and structural models. The research results show that institutional support and lecturer guidance significantly increase the intrinsic motivation and quality of student research and publications. Support from educational institutions significantly increases students' intrinsic motivation, which in turn improves the quality of research and publications. Institutional support also directly improves the quality of research. High-quality faculty-student relationships significantly increase intrinsic motivation and academic quality. In addition, institutional support for lecturers increases the effectiveness of teaching and guidance. These findings confirm the conceptual model of institutional support that has been developed and tested in increasing intrinsic motivation, lecturer guidance, and the quality of student publications. Keywords: Lecturer Guidance; Institutional Support; Publication Quality; Intrinsic Motivation.   ABSTRAK Publikasi penelitian merupakan aspek penting dari perjalanan akademik mahasiswa. Publikasi dapat memperluas cakrawala pengetahuan, berbagi temuan penelitian, dan memperkuat reputasi akademik. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk membangun model konseptual dukungan institusi terhadap publikasi penelitian mahasiswa dengan memeriksa interaksi yang berpengaruh di antara variabel dukungan institusi, motivasi intrinsik mahasiswa, bimbingan dosen, dan kualitas publikasi penelitian. Berdasarkan keempat variabel tersebut, enam hipotesis dirumuskan. Metode penelitian dengan kuantitatif ini menggunakan Model Persamaan Struktural Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) untuk mengevaluasi model hipotesis. Sebanyak 124 mahasiswa pascasarjana dari IAIN Curup terlibat sebagai peserta untuk mengisi kuesioner yang telah terbukti valid dan reliabel. Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS untuk mengevaluasi model pengukuran dan model struktural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan institusi dan bimbingan dosen secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik dan kualitas penelitian serta publikasi mahasiswa. Dukungan dari institusi pendidikan secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik mahasiswa, yang pada gilirannya meningkatkan kualitas penelitian dan publikasi. Dukungan institusi juga secara langsung meningkatkan kualitas penelitian. Hubungan dosen-mahasiswa yang berkualitas tinggi secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik dan kualitas akademik. Selain itu, dukungan institusi untuk dosen meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran dan bimbingan. Temuan-temuan ini mengkonfirmasi model konseptual dukungan institusi yang telah dikembangkan dan diuji dalam meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik, bimbingan dosen, dan kualitas publikasi mahasiswa. Abstract

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 the incidence of dysmenorrhea in the world is very large, on average more than 50% of women in every country experience dysmenorrhea. Results Based on a preliminary study conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Cikarang Utara with the number of respondents as many as 10 students who were interviewed, it was found that 70% (7 students) had dysmenorrhea, and only 30% (3 students) did not experience dysmenorrhea. In addition, there is still a low knowledge of adolescents about dysmenorrhea as much as 32.9% (51 people) and 51% (79 people) of adolescents about handling dysmenorrhea. Purpose: Efforts to increase knowledge about menstrual problems and how to handle menstrual problems. Method: Distribution of leaflets and explanations about menstrual problems and how to handle them at SMK Hijau Muda Cikarang Utara class X and XII.Results: Based on the 40 targets, the knowledge level of adolescents increased to 95% (38 people) having knowledge in the very good category and 5% (2 people) having knowledge in the good category.. Conclusion: The youth of SMK Hijau Muda Cikarang Utara have understood and understood the problems related to menstruation and how to handle them

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of portfolio assessment in improving students’ writing development in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context. Portfolio assessment, which emphasizes continuous progress through drafting, revising, and reflecting, offers an alternative to traditional one-time writing evaluations. The purpose of this research was to examine how the implementation of portfolios influences students’ writing performance and their attitudes toward the writing process. Using a classroom action research design, the study involved cycles of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through writing tests, observations, student reflections, and teacher field notes. The findings indicate substantial improvement in students’ writing across several components, including content, organization, vocabulary use, grammar accuracy, and mechanics. Students demonstrated greater awareness of the writing process, showed increased motivation, and became more actively engaged in improving their drafts. The reflective activities within the portfolio encouraged deeper metacognitive understanding, enabling students to identify strengths and weaknesses more effectively. Teacher feedback and peer review also played significant roles in supporting students’ revision processes and enhancing the overall quality of their writing. The study concludes that portfolio assessment is a highly beneficial pedagogical approach for writing instruction, fostering autonomy, continuous learning, and more meaningful evaluation. The results suggest that portfolios should be integrated into EFL writing classrooms to support sustained improvement and student-centered learning. Recommendations for further research include examining digital portfolio platforms and investigating the long-term impact of portfolio-based assessment practices.
