Abstract

Economic growth and increased global connectivity have been greatly aided by the aviation sector. Very important items are usually sent via air transportation. However, with these changes come important issues for aviation safety, especially in the airport environment. Security and safety are important components that require the cooperation of all related parties. Areas around airports, which are often inhabited by highly diverse communities, are critical to aviation security. In these circumstances, careful action and planning are required to reduce the risk of accidents and incidents that endanger flight crew, local communities and infrastructure. This research uses a literature review. Bibliographic research / literature research, is a type of research that examines or critically reviews knowledge, concepts, or findings found in academically oriented literature, as well as explaining how that literature makes theoretical and methodological contributions to a particular topic. The results of this aviation safety campaign showed that 44 participants who participated in aviation safety training experienced an increase in scores, while 11 participants did not experience an increase. This campaign aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of participants related to air traffic services, human factors, and safety, especially high school / vocational aviation students. It is expected that the graduates can use it when working in the aviation industry because safety is very important.

Abstract

Urgent items (such as important components or easily damaged items) and/or valuable items are usually sent via air transportation. To support air transportation, airports must have adequate facilities such as consistent and more efficient electricity flow so that the use of renewable energy in the aviation industry continues to develop. This community service used a literature review method by conducting a literature review. The purpose of this community service is to teach or introduce to students that renewable energy, such as solar energy, if utilized properly in the world of aviation, will produce a very useful innovation, such as oil substitute fuel for aircraft, which is certainly more affordable so that operational costs will also be more efficient. The results of this community service were to teach and introduce to students that renewable energy, such as biomass energy, will produce very useful innovations, such as fuel oil substitutes for aircraft, which are cheaper and more efficient in the Aviation Environment for SMA/SMK Students in Jayapura.

Abstract

Fulfillment of safety requirements in the use of aircraft, airspace, flight navigation, airports, air transportation and other supporting facilities is known as aviation safety. Aviation security and safety must be a top priority for all parts of aviation service providers, especially airports, during their operations. So that flight operations are not disrupted by aviation accidents, such as aircraft failure during landing or take-off, and fires, they must be handled immediately. One part of dealing with emergencies at airports is aviation accident assistance and firefighting. This research uses a literature review method, namely by conducting a literature review or literature review. In order to get results. In a plane accident, an institution or team is definitely needed to help the accident victims, so a search and rescue or what in Indonesian is called search and rescue, was formed. Aviation security at an airport is the responsibility of the Airport Authority. Apart from forming an airport security committee, the Airport Authority also forms aviation security personnel at each airport it manages. The campaign discussing aid in plane crashes and aviation safety at high schools in Jayapura is very useful, this is because the knowledge they gain about aid in plane crashes while working in the aviation industry will produce high quality human resources.

Abstract

Airfield Lighting System (AFL) also known as Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) is a term used at airports to assist and serve pilots visually using various types of lights when aircraft take off, land, and taxi to move efficiently and safely. This research uses qualitative research to obtain results regarding the benefits of learning a virtual tour-based visual landing aid system for high school students in Jayapura. Introduction to Airfield Lighting System (AFL) is very useful because aircraft runways are very important for the safety of transportation users, especially in terms of commercial flights. The use of aircraft runways is not only during the day but also at night for landing and releasing aircraft. The introduction of an Airfield Lighting System (AFL) based on virtual tour as an information medium for visual landing aids at the airport for high school students in Jayapura also has benefits for local high school students as a medium of information and increased understanding of visual landing aids at the airport

Abstract

This study aims to identify the influence of perception, study program accreditation, and promotion on student decisions in choosing the Air Transportation Logistics Management study program at the Jayapura Aviation Polytechnic. Data were collected from 381 prospective student respondents and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that perception (? = 0.262, p < 0.05), study program accreditation (? = 1.178, p < 0.05), and promotion (? = 0.291, p < 0.05) have a significant influence on the decision choose a study program. Study program accreditation variable has the most significant influence. Although the Air Transportation Logistics Management Study Program does not yet have study program accreditation, respondents are confident that they have chosen this study program because of the good reputation of the tertiary institution and its graduates have broad job opportunities. The recommendations for the Jayapura Aviation Polytechnic are strengthening marketing strategies with effective promotion, obtaining study program accreditation, and maintaining a good reputation. This will increase the attractiveness of the study program and meet the needs of prospective students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah platform web bernama https://peneliti.id/ sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi, memfasilitasi kolaborasi, dan mendorong produktivitas penelitian di kalangan dosen, peneliti, dan mahasiswa di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan observasi, dengan pengujian meliputi functional suitability, compatibility, validasi ahli media, dan usability pada responden dari Politeknik Penerbangan Jayapura. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa platform https://peneliti.id/ berhasil dikembangkan, mencapai 100% functional suitability dan compatibility, validasi ahli media secara keseluruhan “Layak”, dan uji usability pengguna “Sangat Layak” dengan skor 85,41%. Implementasi awal menunjukkan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan produktivitas publikasi ilmiah. Platform https://peneliti.id/ dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dan memiliki potensi signifikan dalam mendukung pengembangan penelitian serta peningkatan produktivitas dan kolaborasi ilmiah di Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan aplikasi “Virtual” sebagai media pembelajaran alat bantu pendaratan visual berbasis virtual reality. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, kuesioner, dan instrumen yang melibatkan beberapa reviewer, yaitu: tiga orang ahli media, tiga orang ahli materi, dan 24 orang mahasiswa angkatan ke-4 program studi Teknik Listrik Bandara Politeknik Penerbangan Jayapura. Menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif sesuai dengan standar ISO 25010. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aspek media sebesar 4,29 (Sangat Layak), aspek materi sebesar 100% (valid), aspek functional suitability sebesar 100% (sangat layak), aspek compatibility sebesar 100% (sangat layak), dan aspek usability sebesar 82,72% (sangat layak).

Abstract

Salah satu  modifikasi  yang  dilakukan pada pesawat untuk digunakan pada perairan yang sering kali melibatkan pemasangan Float sebagai pengganti landing  gear konvensional adalah seaplane. Namun, pemasangan Float pada seaplane juga dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik aerodinamik pesawat, khususnya hambatan (drag) yang dialami selama penerbangan sehingga menjadi masalah terhadap performa kinerja seaplane. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini akan menganalisis hambatan air pada Cessna 172SP dengan Float tambahan menggunakan aplikasi Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pada pesawat laut atau pesawat amfibi yang difokuskan untuk melihat bagaimana fluida (air dan udara) berinteraksi dengan permukaan pesawat yang mencakup analisis struktur hidrodinamika dan aerodinamika. Hasil analisis hambatan air pada Float pesawat Cessna 172 SP menunjukkan bahwa hambatan aerodinamik dan hambatan air berdampak pada kinerja pesawat terutama pada konsumsi bahan bakar, kecepatan terbang, dan kemampuan manuver.
