Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of physical education on the physical and mental development of elementary school students. Physical education plays an important role in supporting children's growth and development, both physically and mentally. Through structured and directed physical activity, students can develop motor skills, physical strength and improve general health. Apart from that, participation in physical education also has a positive impact on mental aspects, such as increasing concentration, controlling emotions, and social development. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through questionnaires filled out by students and teachers. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant positive correlation between participation in physical education and improvements in students' physical and mental conditions. These findings emphasize the importance of physical education as an integral part of the primary school curriculum to support students' holistic development.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the extent to which character education is applied in the PPKn learning process, as well as the factors that influence the success or challenges faced by teachers and students. By knowing the effectiveness of the implementation of character education, it is expected to provide recommendations to improve the quality of learning and shape better student characters in elementary school environments. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques through literature reviews, which include 10 journal articles, as well as other documents relevant to the research topic. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of strengthening character education in PPKn learning in elementary schools shows that strengthening character through PPKn learning plays an important role in shaping students' positive attitudes and behaviors. This study identified that the methods applied, such as learning based on moral and social values, help students understand the importance of good character. Teachers play an active role in providing examples, as well as creating an environment that supports national values and ethics. Although there are challenges in its implementation, the results are quite significant in increasing students' awareness of the importance of character in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties of grade IV students in distinguishing the concepts of Natural Science (IPA) and Social Science (IPS) in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SDN 064966. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to explore students' experiences and teachers' learning strategies in the context of Merdeka Curriculum. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and closed and open questionnaires distributed to 16 students. The results showed that the integration of science and social studies in IPAS caused conceptual confusion, characterized by students' misconceptions in categorizing materials, such as considering history topics as part of science. Students also showed a high need for visual media, practical learning, and a more collaborative approach. Less explicit learning in distinguishing the characteristics of each discipline reinforces this difficulty. This research recommends the use of visual symbols, conceptual tagging and contextual learning strategies that emphasize the distinction between science and social studies clearly. With these approaches, it is expected that students' understanding of concepts will improve and IPAS learning will be more effective.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the use of concrete objects can help students understand the concept of volume, and how it affects student engagement and motivation to learn. This study aims to examine the use of concrete objects in learning the volume of spatial figures as an effort to improve the understanding of elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were elementary school students. Data Collection Techniques used by researchers are Literature Review and Supporting Documents. The results show that the use of concrete object media in mathematics learning has proven effective in improving understanding of the concept of volume of spatial figures and encouraging active student participation in the learning process. Students become more motivated, dare to ask questions, and are able to understand abstract concepts gradually through direct experience and teacherĀ guidance.
