Abstract

Increasingly fierce competition in the business world encourages companies to further develop ideas for effective and efficient ways to achieve predetermined goals. Many factors influence the success of achieving company goals. One of the most important forces that supports the achievement of company goals and increases company growth in the market is quality or quality score. Product or service quality control is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction and business success. One of the quality control tools is "Seven Tools" or Seven Quality Control Tools. The seven tools method is used for the production quality control process with the aim of solving various problems faced regarding the quality of a product. Types of defects found in cold room products at PT. There are 3 Pendawa Cipta Sakti, namely `: Glue doesn't stick, scratches on the coil, and holes in the styrofoam. Based on observations from graphs on histograms and Pareto diagrams, the most dominant type of defect is glue not sticking, therefore a cause and effect diagram for the type of defect glue not sticking is made. Abstract

The manufacturing industry continues to grow with intense competition, so companies need to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process. Lean Manufacturing with Kaizen approach is one of the effective methods to optimize workflow and reduce waste. PT TM faces problems in the production process, especially in the post 2 packing component cylinder head, where there are cycle time fluctuations that have an impact on production efficiency. To overcome these problems, the Lean Manufacturing method with Kaizen approach is applied to reduce waste and improve production efficiency. This study aims to analyze the effect of Kaizen implementation in reducing cycle time and identifying waste that occurs in the production process. The methods used include direct observation in the production line, data collection and analysis, and implementation of Kaizen-based improvements. The results showed that the implementation of Kaizen succeeded in reducing cycle time from 97 seconds to 80 seconds, with a takt time of 105 seconds. In addition, two types of waste were found, namely waiting for 25 seconds and motion for 6 seconds, which have been minimized through changes in layout and work procedures. The conclusion of this study is that the Kaizen method is effective in improving production time efficiency and reducing waste.

Abstract

The Production Department at PT DOM faces a high defect rate in the chain model x. This study aims to identify the types of defects, analyze their root causes, and provide improvement recommendations to reduce defects. The method used in this research is the Seven Tools approach, which includes Check Sheet, Histogram, Pareto Diagram, Fishbone Diagram, Scatter Diagram, and Control Chart. The results indicate 14 major types of defects, with outer plate endless reversed, assy no riveting, and pin black (adhesion) being the most dominant. The Fishbone Diagram analysis identifies the primary causes of defects as stemming from human factors, machinery, methods, materials, and the environment. The Control Chart shows that the production process remains within control limits, but improvements are needed to enhance efficiency. Recommended improvements include operator training, enhanced quality supervision, implementation of preventive maintenance, and strict analysis of raw material suppliers. Implementing these strategies is expected to reduce defect rates and improve the quality of the chain model x. Keywords: Control Chart, Defect, Fishbone Diagram, Quality Control, Seven Tools

Abstract

The advancement of technology, the era of Industry 4.0, and the COVID-19 pandemic have introduced significant changes in the business world, affecting both organizations and employees. These shifts have contributed to the phenomenon of quiet quitting, where employees reduce their commitment to work without formally resigning. This phenomenon often emerges as a response to burnout, work-life imbalance, and high expectations from employers. This study compiles various research to analyze the contributing factors and negative impacts of quiet quitting on organizations. Findings indicate that quiet quitting is driven by job dissatisfaction, poor communication, lack of career development opportunities, and unsupportive organizational culture. The results highlight the importance of creating a positive work environment, fostering effective communication, and providing career development opportunities to mitigate the adverse effects of quiet quitting. Further research is needed to explore in depth the factors contributing to quiet quitting and to design more effective strategies for its prevention.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces electronics. During the production process, a significant issue has been identified - a high number of defective products due to dust contamination. This research is designed to analyze the factors contributing to these defects during the visual inspection process, using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. This research can identify the factors causing failure, the severity level, and the probability of negative effects of the failure. Additionally, it allows us to determine the corrective actions or improvements needed to prevent or reduce the risk of product failure during the visual inspection process. The results of the research indicate that the primary cause of the NG dust-type products, based on the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value of 320, is operator skills. This factor is a potential cause of the NG dust-type products. Therefore, analysis and simulation of proposed improvements are being conducted, to reduce the number of NG products in the visual inspection process.
