Abstract

This is a field research which aimed at describing the level of pedagogic competency of Arabic teachers at Madrasah Aliyah in Samarinda. The sample of this research are 8 Arabic teachers from 5 madrasah both state and private madrasah. The data collection techniques used observation, interview, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Miles and Hubberman. The findings of study show there are three indicators to measure the level of pedagogic competency; self perception, vice headmaster of curriculum’s perception, and students’ perception. In the level of self perception, it was found that the teachers’ pedagogic competency is 3.8; it indicated the category ”Good”. In the level of vice headmaster of curriculum’s perception, it was found that the teachers’ pedagogic competency is 3.9; it indicated the category ”Good”. In the level of the students’ perception, it was found that the teachers’ pedagogic competency is 4.1; it indicated the category ”Good”.

Abstract

This is a classroom action research which has a goal to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning to improve the students’ability in reading Arabic text of PESKAM students of STAIN Samarinda. The population of the study is 116 students from 4 Arabic laguage classes. The data were analyzed by using paired t-test. The result of the study shows that the Arabic text reading ability of the students before the implementation of cooperative learning is 72.3, meanwhile the Arabic text reading ability of the students before the implementation of cooperative learning is 86.53. It means that cooperative learning is effective to improve the Arabic text reading ability of the students. From the aspect of motivation, cooperative learning could improve their motivation to learn Arabic which could improve as 56.9%. From the findings of the study, it is concluded that cooperative learning significantly improved the students’ability in reading Arabic text of PESKAM students of STAIN Samarinda. It also improved the students’ motivation learn Arabic text.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon that community service activities carried out by Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTAI) from more or less the same year have not been linked to the results of research in the social religious field. As a result, the relevance, benefits, and contribution of PTAI to the community become less visible. This research is a field work research. Partisipatory Action Reseacrh analysis was used in this study. The results of this study are 1) Strategy to build public awareness about clean living in the environment is done by inviting them to work together to clean the environment starting from cleaning the mosque, TPA, Mushalla, and educational institutions around. 2) Strategies to develop a community mindset can realize the potential of nature and the surrounding human resources to be processed through socialization on the use of the natural environment, including household waste, training in making paving blocks from plastic waste, and processing waste into compost. 3) Strategy to build active communication between citizens and the government with assistance to citizens, and 4) Strategy to build a spirit of diversity in the community.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the professional competence level of Arabic language teachers who are in Islamic educational institutions, especially in senior high schools (MAN) East Borneo. In addition, other important cases in this study are about teaching Arabic, including strategies to improve the quality of professional teacher competence and Arabic learning. The research design is quantitative descriptive. The population is all of MAN in East Borneo, and the type of sample is cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis is a Likert scale and Mean formula to show the general results obtained. The results are based on an assessment of Arabic language skills, evaluation of teaching and learning implementation, professional awareness and teacher performance, and professional consistency that showed the successful of professional competence in Arabic language teachers by using the supported strategies of entire academic community in MAN East Borneo.

Abstract

Bahasa adalah tata cara yang tepat untuk merumuskan komunikasi dalam menukarkan pikiran dan perasaan antara anggota sesama komunitas. Adapun bahasa Arab merupakan bahasa internasional yang digunakan oleh penutur asli (bangsa Arab) dan penutur dari bangsa asing lainnya yang tersebar seluruh negara di dunia. Bahasa Arab bukan hanya bahasa satu kaum tertentu, bukan bahasa suku tertentu, bahasa Arab adalah bahasa seluruh umat manusia. Kondisi dunia dahulu telah berbeda dengan sekarang, disebabkan oleh perkembangan dan perubahan yang kita rasakan dengan kemunculan karya-karya, penemuan, kejadian, pemikiran, sistem, tradisi dan budaya baru, sehingga manusia membutuhkan makna baru untuk mengungkapkan perubahan-perubahan tersebut seluruhnya. Setiap bahasa di dunia mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan dalam maknanya, termasuk bahasa Arab. Adapun komponen-komponen bahasa yang paling banyak mengalami perubahan dalam bahasa manusia adalah kosakata, apalagi bahasa-bahasa kontemporer lainnya (selain bahasa Arab) yang mengalami perubahan dalam kamus-kamusnya dari waktu ke waktu, dan mengalami perubahan yang sangat mendasar tidak lebih dalam kurun satu abad dari segi kosakata dan kaidahnya, sedangkan bahasa Arab, inti pokok dari kosakatanya tidak berubah dan kaidahnya fleksibel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk perkembangan makna yang ada pada kata maupun kalimat dalam bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kepustakaan. peneliti menggunakan dua sumber referensi dalam menulis skripsi ini; 1) Sumber Primer, dari buku berbahasa Arab yang berkaitan dengan pembahasan perkembangan makna; 2) Sumber Sekunder, dari referensi yang dapat meluaskan data penelitian dari sumber referensi primer. ini. Hasil Penelitian ini adalah adanya bentuk-bentuk perubahan makna dalam bahasa Arab adalah: 1) Perluasan makna; 2) Penyempitan makna; 3) Perpindahan makna; 4) Perbaikan makna (Elevation); dan 5) Penurunan makna. Dengan kajian yang sederhana ini, penulis berharap akan ada peneliti yang lebih mendalam lagi dalam mengkaji perkembangan makna bahasa Arab, tentunya dalam masalah bentuk-bentuk perkembangan makna dalam bahasa Arab dalam klasifikasi dan susunan yang lebih logis, sistematis dan runtut.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan tarjamah siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda, dengan demikian guru dapat menjadikan bahan referensi dalam proses belajar mengajar untuk menghasilkan hasil belajar sesuai yang ingin dicapai. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan tarjamah siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas X, jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Dengan desain penelitian pre-test - post-test control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Dengan menggunakan penelitian yaitu kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah) yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Teknik Analisis data penelitian dengan menggunakan statistik uji T (Independent Sample t test). Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan penelitian yaitu kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah), dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji T Independent Sample t-test yaitu Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,02. karena nilai 0,02 lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa diterima dan Ho ditolak. Hasil analisis data deskriptif menunjukkan nilai mean pre-test kelas eksperimen 91,28 dan nilai mean pre-test kelas kontrol 84,34. Dan hasil analisis data deskriptif nilai mean post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,83 dan nilai mean post-test kelas kontrol sebesar 83,65. Artinya ada perbedaan yang menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan tarjamah siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Samarinda.
