Abstract

The research objective is to determine the effect of learning model on scientific attitudes of students, self efficacy towards the scientific attitudes, and the interaction of the learning models and self efficacy towards scientific attitudes. The research method is experimental method. The analyzed data consist of self efficacy instrument test and scientific attitude instrument tests with their validity and reliability assessment. Data were taken by means of two way anova test. The result show that: 1) There is a significant effect of learning model towards student's scientific attitude. 2) There is a significant effect of self efficacy towards students' scientific attitude. 3) There is an interaction effect that is not significant to thelearning model and self efficacy towards students' scientific attitude. Keywords: learning model, self efficacy, scientific attitudes

Abstract

The research objective is to describe the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach in Sistematika Hewan. It also to know the students ' respond of learning with the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach. Beside that, the research objective is to know the students' interest to the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach. The research is a descriptive quantitative study which uses survey and literature study method. The learning activities with the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach in Sistematika hewan are 1) group discussion, 2) field study, 3) practicum, 4) instructional games, 5) lecturing method, 6) project/ task giving, 7) final exam / test, and 8) practical responses. The students' response to learning by the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach is 89% in good category (good and very good). Students' interest with the Jelajah Alam Sekitar (JAS) approach is 96% in interest category (interest and very interest). Keywords: Jelajah Alam Sekiar (JAS), learning approach, students’ response, students’ interest

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop a module on biodiversity with a local wisdom and cultural approach according to the Research and Development research method with the Sugiyono R&D stage. This research was conducted in 2 (two) stages, namely the First Stage of Development / Developing the Biodiversity Module with the Local Wisdom and Cultural Approach) and the Second Stage (Testing the use of modules and Mass Production). The Biodiversity Module with the Local Wisdom and Cultural Approach has a score of 91.33, which is in the very valid category. The mean score of knowledge (posttest) in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, namely the knowledge value of the experimental class ≥65 but there is no significant difference the post-test scores between the control and experimental classes. This is because based on the Mann Whitney U Test, Ucount (54)> Utabel (27) then H0 is accepted. All respondents (100%) gave positive responses to the biodiversity module with the local wisdom and culture approach. Keywords: modules, biodiversity, local wisdom and culture, biology

Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefits of the fruit rind of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis (Mangga Arum Manis) as organic fertilizer on the growth of Brassica juncea L., to know the process of making the skin of the fruit of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis into organic fertilizer powder, as well as to determine the average growth of Brassica juncea L. (mustard greens) when using Mangifera indica L. var arum manis rind fertilizer, inorganic NPK fertilizer, or using only tap water. This type of research is an experimental study, namely the effect of giving powdered waste skin of Mangifera indica L. var arum manis inorganic NPK fertilizer, and giving ordinary tap water as fertilizer on the growth of Brassica juncea L. plants by using RAK (Randomized Block Design) one factor. The rind of the mango fruit can be made into fertilizer in the form of powder by drying in the sun which is then crushed to form a powder. Manganese rind powder can be used as organic fertilizer for the growth of mustard plants. The treatment of mustard plants with manganese rind powder fertilizer 50 g/L, resulted in mustard height and stalk length of mustard greens up to DAP (days after planting) 42, and also produced wider mustard leaves up to DAP 35, which was superior to the treatment of mustard plants with NPK fertilizer of 20 g/L and treat the mustard plant with water. The treatment of mustard plants with 20 g/L NPK fertilizer resulted in more mustard leaves up to 42 DAP, and wider mustard leaves, but only at 42 DAP, compared to the treatment of mustard plants with 50 g/L manganese rind powder fertilizer, and treatment of mustard greens with water

Abstract

One of the topics that need to be understood as a student teacher candidate is the taxonomy and morphology of plants including the names of their species. Urban forests provide alternative learning resources that can be created in the form of videos. The video was uploaded on the Youtube channel to help learning during the pandemic, which reduces offline activities. It is hoped that making Urban Forest videos and uploading them to Youtube media will be a solution to urban forest concerns. The purposes of writing the article include: 1) identifying spermatophyta in the urban forest of Purworejo; 2) make an urban forest learning video; 3) analyze students' understanding of urban forests and their vegetation. The method used is urban forest exploration, making videos, as well as pre and post test designs by giving online test questions after watching the video. Making a forest video begins with identifying plants. There are 17 species used in making urban forest videos. The dominant vegetation in the Purworejo urban forest is acacia, teak, and mahogany. A learning video with a duration of 25 minutes 54 seconds uploaded on a personal Youtube channel, namely Fajar Adinugraha Channel with the link https://youtu.be/trPQ2yLBpWw. In its creation, the Pl@ntnet application was used to assist identification with the help of wikipedia. The application of learning videos via youtube was able to increase the score of 28.56 points from the pretest score so that there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores for knowledge of urban forests and their vegetation.
