Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see how digital technostress and digital technology self-efficacy (DTSE) affect Generation Z consumers' willingness to adopt FinTech in Indonesia. This study provides knowledge about the impact of technostress and the role of self-efficacy as a moderator on intention to use FinTech. This study uses a questionnaire survey with the criteria of respondents who have used FinTech and Generation Z (born 1993-2012) in Indonesia. A total of 122 respondents were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study show that complexity and overload reduce the use of FinTech. In addition, DTSE increases their intention to use FinTech and can reduce the impact of technostress on intention to use FinTech. The results of the research are expected to be input for innovators and policymakers to make FinTech applications easier to use so that consumers will continue to use FinTech to support sustainable development.

Abstract

Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya is a reading park under the auspices of the Pimpinan Cabang 'Aisyiyah Minggir Cultural Institute which is located in the Al-Umar Parakan Wetan Sendangsari Minggir Mosque complex, Sleman Yogyakarta. Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya was founded in 2019 after receiving the first grant from the National Library of Indonesia. The main problems faced include that Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya has not upgraded its reading books or other supporting facilities, so its resources are still limited. The management carried out by volunteers is considered less than optimal, because there is no strong motivation from the management to maximize the value of this reading park. To be able to overcome this problem, the service team tried to provide a solution by creating a program whose aim was to increase the value of the Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya using a learning method approach through stories. So, the activity that will be carried out is storytelling training for kindergarten and PAUD teachers in Kapanewon Minggir. Apart from that, another activity that the proposing team offers as a solution to improve the functionality of Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya is improving the physical facilities of the library, namely by repairing damaged cupboards and increasing the collection of reading books in the library. Methods for implementing activities include preparation and coordination, repair and upgrading of facilities, implementation of storytelling training, and evaluation and monitoring.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to investigate the relationship between FinTech Lending and Financial Literacy on Crime (fraud, embezzlement, and corruption). This research provides knowledge about the impact of FinTech Lending which can increase crime and financial literacy which can reduce crime. Methodology/approach: This study employs panel data consisting of 34 provinces in Indonesia with observations in 2019 and 2022 due to data availability. The secondary data used was collected from official Indonesian government institutions (OJK and BPS). To achieve the purpose, a quantitative approach and panel data regression analysis methods are applied. Panel data provides more variability, less collinearity among variables, and more degrees of freedom. This can lead to more efficient estimators and more precise inference of model parameters. Based on the Hausman test, the estimated model is Random Effects (RE). Findings: The results of this research show that FinTech Lending has a significant positive impact on the growth of crime, while Financial Literacy has a negative impact on the growth of crime. This indicates that as the use of FinTech Lending increases, crime rates also increase, and higher levels of Financial Literacy help reduce the growth of crime. Practical implications: The results of this research can be used as material for consideration by the government in creating a comprehensive legal framework through the establishment of a Law on FinTech. Originality/value: To the best of the researcher's knowledge, this research is the first research to investigate the influence of FinTech Lending and Financial Literacy on Crime Rates in Indonesia using a quantitative approach, whereas previous research used a qualitative approach.

Abstract

The consumer goods industry in Indonesia constitutes a significant component of the national economy. The sector is confronted with significant challenges posed by the forces of globalization and digital disruption, which necessitate a continuous process of adaptation and innovation on the part of companies. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of profitability, company size, social responsibility (CSR), and capital structure on firm value. This study employs descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis to assess the interrelationships between the independent and dependent variables. The results demonstrate that profitability exerts a positive influence on firm value, while company size and social responsibility exert negative influences on firm value. Capital structure, on the other hand, exerts a positive influence on firm value. Collectively, these variables account for 93.8% of the variation in firm value, indicating a significant interdependence among them. The study concludes with practical implications for stakeholders in the consumer goods sector, suggesting that increasing profitability and reviewing capital structure can improve firm valuation

Abstract

The Suboptimal waste management in Bakipandeyan Village, Sukoharjo, poses significant challenges to the environment and public health. The community’s tendency to dispose of waste without considering its potential benefits is one of the primary causes. This community service program aims to empower residents by converting organic waste into economically valuable products such as ecoenzym and soap bars, while enhancing digital marketing skills. The methods employed include socialization and training on ecoenzym production from fruit peels, soap-making workshops, and the introduction of social media marketing strategies. The program outcomes indicated improved understanding and skills among the community in processing organic waste into high-value products. Additionally, digital marketing training encouraged residents to utilize social media as a promotional tool, enabling their products to reach wider markets. This program successfully motivated the community to independently and sustainably manage waste, contributing to increased economic welfare and environmental sustainability. In conclusion, community empowerment through training, product innovation, and digital marketing proved effective in raising environmental awareness, fostering better waste management practices, and creating new business opportunities for the community

Abstract

During their productive years, athletes can earn incomes above the per capita average of a country or region. However, upon retirement, athletes often face financial problems, as many professional athletes lack the skills to effectively manage personal finances. Their occupation, which heavily relies on physical strength, makes their finances vulnerable. Additionally, professional athletes are prone to mental health issues and excessive anxiety or depression. Some athletes even commit suicide after retiring. The presence of these risks forces many athletes to retire at a relatively young age, around their 30s, and they may struggle to find suitable post- athletic careers. Hence, athletes need to plan their finances for a longer period compared to most people. Unstable incomes during their sports careers, often dependent on sponsorships, prizes, and awards, make them vulnerable to income declines after retirement. Moreover, high expenses during their careers, especially for training and medical care, might not have allowed them to build substantial savings. Researchers argue that financial literacy and security enable athletes to ensure their financial well-being, particularly in their post-athletic lives. Financial literacy can help athletes achieve sustainable financial well-being. Financial planning before retirement is crucial for individuals or families to achieve stable and prosperous financial conditions. Interviews we conducted found that all athletes at Dojo Judo Gajah Mungkur have goals for the money earned from competitions. However, only a few, especially the younger ones, use their income productively. This is evidenced by initial interviews showing that most of them, or 50-70 percent, spend their income on purchasing motor vehicles, and 80 percent of athletes do not have businesses or investments (both in the real and non-real sectors) that can generate additional income outside their profession.
