Abstract

Penal mediation brings benefits to victims, perpetrators, or society. Penal mediation also takes into account the practical needs of settling cases, and can bring about a fast, simple, low-cost trial. Even though the settlement of cases by mediation is quite familiar in the society, previously the settlement of criminal cases by mediation did not have a sufficiently strong legal basis except for cases involving children in conflict with the law. Currently, penal mediation has been regulated in Prosecutor's Regulations Number 15 of 2020, Badan Peradilan Umum Decree Number: 1691/DJU/SK/PS.00/12/2020 and Police regulation Number 8 of 2021. Since it is left to each institution, differences in arrangements and the scope of implementation of penal mediation is inevitable. This research is a normative research using data from library research. The data were analyzed qualitatively by using a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. This study found that there were differences in penal mediation arrangements in each law enforcement institution. These differences are related to the legal basis used, types of cases, exceptions to types of cases, the role of law enforcement officials, differences in the mechanisms for peace agreements and termination of cases as well as arrangements related to victims' recovery.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain: (1) the guarantee of access to justice for vulnerable groups in Indonesia; and (2) the implementation of providing access to justice for vulnerable groups in the Surakarta District Court. This study uses empirical legal research, or research that complies with normative provisions, to examine vulnerable groups' access to justice in the Surakarta District Court and identify issues related to the subjects examined from October to December 2023 as primary data. In addition, documentation studies and literature studies make use of secondary data, which can be found in a variety of sources such as books, articles, laws, news reports from the media, and so forth. The findings state that Indonesia has provided guaranteed access to justice through the speed of government institutions, ministries, and regional governments in proposing the provision of public service that are friendly to vulnerable groups, including children, women, people with disabilities, minority groups, the elderly, and the poor. Meanwhile, the Surakarta District Court has built facilities for vulnerable groups. Among them are wheelchairs, priority waiting chairs, assistive sticks, braille leaflets, courtrooms, waiting rooms, special toilets, and special paths (guide blocks, ramps, ramps) for people with disabilities. Providing access to justice is still mostly for people with disabilities.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to investigate the relationship between FinTech Lending and Financial Literacy on Crime (fraud, embezzlement, and corruption). This research provides knowledge about the impact of FinTech Lending which can increase crime and financial literacy which can reduce crime. Methodology/approach: This study employs panel data consisting of 34 provinces in Indonesia with observations in 2019 and 2022 due to data availability. The secondary data used was collected from official Indonesian government institutions (OJK and BPS). To achieve the purpose, a quantitative approach and panel data regression analysis methods are applied. Panel data provides more variability, less collinearity among variables, and more degrees of freedom. This can lead to more efficient estimators and more precise inference of model parameters. Based on the Hausman test, the estimated model is Random Effects (RE). Findings: The results of this research show that FinTech Lending has a significant positive impact on the growth of crime, while Financial Literacy has a negative impact on the growth of crime. This indicates that as the use of FinTech Lending increases, crime rates also increase, and higher levels of Financial Literacy help reduce the growth of crime. Practical implications: The results of this research can be used as material for consideration by the government in creating a comprehensive legal framework through the establishment of a Law on FinTech. Originality/value: To the best of the researcher's knowledge, this research is the first research to investigate the influence of FinTech Lending and Financial Literacy on Crime Rates in Indonesia using a quantitative approach, whereas previous research used a qualitative approach.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is increasingly recognized as more than just a corporate obligation—it is a strategic approach to achieving sustainable development goals. In Indonesia, where regional autonomy gives local governments significant authority, their role in supervising CSR becomes particularly important, especially in ensuring transparency and accountability. Despite this, many CSR programs still suffer from a lack of clear oversight, limited regulatory support, and varying levels of corporate commitment. This study explores how local governments carry out their supervisory role in CSR programs from the perspective of business law. Using a qualitative juridical-normative approach complemented by field data, this research focuses on Klaten, Central Java, as a case study. Data were obtained through interviews with local officials, CSR practitioners, and community members, as well as analysis of regional regulations and corporate CSR reports. The findings reveal that while some local governments have made efforts to regulate CSR through regional policies, the lack of binding legal instruments and standardized monitoring systems poses significant challenges. In many cases, accountability still depends more on voluntary compliance than enforceable obligations. Moreover, transparency in CSR reporting is often limited, making it difficult for stakeholders to evaluate the actual impact. The study concludes that strengthening the legal basis of CSR at the local level—through clearer regulations, transparent reporting standards, and inclusive supervision involving civil society—could lead to more effective CSR governance. This would not only improve corporate accountability but also ensure that CSR efforts align more closely with community needs and sustainable development goals. Abstract

Adolescents with iron deficiency anemia are a group prone to anemia. Data from the Tanjungpinang City Health Office in 2018 showed that the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls was 25% of the total number of adolescent girls in Tanjungpinang City. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving green bean juice on hemoglobin levels of female students at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Tanjungpinang. This study was conducted in January - May 2020 at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Tanjungpinang with this type of research being Quasy Experiment and post test only with control group design. Sampling in this study used the Purposive Sampling technique. The population in this study were all female students of DIII Midwifery Level III. The average hemoglobin level in the group given Fe tablets after being given Fe tablets was 13.67 gr / dl and the average hemoglobin level in the intervention group after being given green bean juice and Fe tablets was 12.32 gr / dl. The results of the Independent Test with a 95% confidence level showed no effect of green bean juice on hemoglobin levels in female students of the Tanjungpinang Ministry of Health Polytechnic (p = 0.209). It is expected that female students consume supplements containing iron, especially during menstruation and consume foods that contain a lot of substances that accelerate iron absorption

Abstract

This article examines the legal framework of gratification reporting under Articles 12B and 12C of Indonesia’s Anti-Corruption Law through the lens of substantive justice. The law exempts public officials from criminal liability if they report gratification to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) within 30 days, a provision intended to promote transparency but often exploited as a loophole to evade punishment. Using a normative legal method with a statutory approach and case analysis, the research highlights how this mechanism contradicts substantive criminal law and undermines the moral foundation of justice. Drawing on the theories of John Rawls, Amartya Sen, and Ronald Dworkin, the analysis shows that while the provision reflects formal justice, it fails to deliver substantive justice by disproportionately favoring those with legal knowledge and institutional power. The research concludes that Article 12C should be revised to require voluntary reporting before public or law enforcement awareness and within a stricter seven-day window, ensuring greater alignment with both formal and substantive justice.
