Abstract

The results of initial observations carried out in Class XII of Madrasah Aliyah DDI Alliritengae Maros, showed that the student was completely unable to write. Writing skills are still lacking because teachers find it difficult to teach writing skills. Likewise, learning techniques are still teacher-centred and students are less active in the learning process. Apart from that, teachers are less selective in choosing learning models, especially writing skills. Writing skills are one of students' language skills. At MA DDI Alliritengae Maros, Maros Regency, the use of the Explicit Instruction Model to support writing skills is increasingly being developed in the student environment. The Explicit Instruction model has been proven to have advantages in presenting the results of a writer's writing to other people. The results of data analysis provide a clear picture so that a correct understanding of the student's condition is related to the use of the Explicit Instruction Model in the writing process. High school students can optimize the performance of their writing skills through the Explicit Instruction Model to improve the quality of learning and make it easier to manage widely used writing.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of sustainability on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City, with business networking as a moderating variable. The independent variables are sustainability practices and business networking, while the dependent variable is financial performance. Challenges in this research include limited data on sustainability and networking, difficulties in measurement, varying levels of implementation, and the lack of proper reporting systems among MSMEs. Using a quantitative approach and survey method, data was collected from 50 MSMEs. Multiple regression analysis evaluated the direct impact of sustainability on financial performance, while moderation analysis assessed the role of business networking. The findings, processed using SPSS, reveal that both sustainability practices and networking positively affect MSMEs’ financial performance. The acceptance of the first hypothesis (H1) indicates that higher sustainability practices enhance financial performance. The second hypothesis (H2) confirms that strong networking further improves financial outcomes. Moreover, the third hypothesis (H3) highlights that networking moderates the relationship between sustainability and financial performance, demonstrating that a robust network amplifies the benefits of sustainable practices. This study underscores the importance of sustainability and networking in driving MSME financial success.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the intensity of Indonesian as the teacher's language of instruction in developing the speaking skills of class VI students at SD Inpres Bontobila, describing the problems of using the teacher's language of instruction in communicating with students in the classroom. This type of research is qualitative. The research results revealed that the intensity of using Indonesian as the language of instruction in the learning process was limited to simple basic sentences regarding standard learning requirements, both in initial activities, core activities, and final learning activities. The problems of using the teacher's language of instruction in communicating with students in the classroom are classified into three problems: the use of standard Indonesian, which hinders learning; differences in the rules of regional languages and Indonesian, causing language interference; and the frequent use of regional languages in educational environments and learning situations.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the RILIS (Critical Literacy-Based Inquiry) Model in reading-writing learning in higher education, which is designed to improve students' literacy skills, especially in writing academic essays. This model was developed using a research and development approach with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) framework. The subjects of the study were lecturers and students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, University of Papua. The results of the study indicate that the RILIS Model has high validity based on expert testing, practicality assessed through field trials, and effectiveness proven through pretest-posttest analysis (Asymp. Sig. = 0.01 < 0.05). This model integrates critical literacy with reading-writing learning, including eight main components: orientation, syntax, reaction principles, social systems, and learning impacts. The use of the RILIS Model has been proven to significantly improve students' writing skills, especially in compiling critical and structured academic essays. This study concludes that the RILIS Model is a valid, practical, and effective learning innovation to be applied in higher education. This model is expected to be a guide for lecturers in integrating reading and writing learning based on critical literacy, while also contributing to improving student literacy in Indonesia
