Abstract

Miana (Coleus atropurpureus L. Benth) adalah tumbuhan dengan daun berwarna ungu kecoklatan sampai ungu kehitaman memiliki kandungan flavonoid sebagai antioksidan yang mampu tumbuh diberbagai tempat. Sebanyak 25 ekor mencit putih jantan (Mus musculus) yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu sebagai kontrol negatif (CMC-Na), positif (Natrium Diklofenak), ekstrak daun Miana dengan 3 tingkatan dosis  (50 mg/KgBB; 100 mg/KgBB; 200 mg/KgBB). Pengujian dengan menggunakan metode hot plate yang memberikan rangsangan panas pada telapak kaki mencit yang akan menyebabkan mencit memberikan respon nyeri. Mencit diberikan perlakuan dilakukan dengan melakukan pengamatan respon mencit setiap 15 menit selama 120 menit dengan waktu cut off 40 detik. Hasil diuraikan dengan uji Shapiro-Wilk, Levene test, dan One-Way Anova didapatkan hasil secara beruntun yaitu 0,002; 0,006; 0,000. Hasil penelitian ekstrak daun miana pada dosis 50 mg/Kg BB, 100 mg/Kg BB, dan 200 mg/Kg BB memiliki aktivitas analgetik dan pada dosis 200 mg/Kg BB memiliki kekuatan hampir sama dengan kontrol positif.

Abstract

Rosella flowers can be used in the form of food and drinks that are beneficial for health. The anthocyanin content in Rosella flowers can be used as a natural dye and also as an antioxidant. The purpose of the Community Service activity is to utilize rosella flowers to increase health immunity and use natural ingredients as nutritious food to reduce high blood pressure. The methods used in this community service activity are socialization methods, questionnaires and pudding making practices. The activity went well and smoothly according to the series of activity schedules listed in the agenda. Increased public knowledge about the material from the pretest value from the previous 89.17% to 95.83%. The level of public satisfaction with the implementation of the activity was 96% so it can be concluded that the public is satisfied with the implementation of the Community Service activity.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the main problems of public health in the whole world and a factor tersering the risks of cardiovascular diseases .The prevalence of hypertension in the population of 18 years and older age of 29,8 % .An epidemiological data shows that a rise in blood pressure will increase the cardiovascular diseases, must be treated with proper and hypertension. The study aimed to identify the influence of rationality use of antihypertensives to the standard guideline jnc 8 to successful therapy hypertension in the hospital at waluyo surakarta year 2016 . The research is research cohort where over the withdrawal of funds data was undertaken in the manner of a retrospective from the records of record medical exam patients hypertension as an in patient in the year 2016 .After the recent retrieval of so sample will be analyzed the usage patterns antihypertensive drug as well as rationality the use of antihypertensive drug with a standard guideline jnc 8 have been analyzed in the manner of a diskriptif, the influence of rationality the use of antihypertensive drug with a standard guideline jnc 8 to successful ( therapy the point of view of achieve the target of the pressure of the blood patients ) have been analyzed is statistically use chi-square. The results of the study , 84 patients get therapy hypertension that is rational in accordance with guideline jnc 8 and 16 patients get therapy hypertension that is irrational with guideline jnc 8. The pattern of an antihypertensive drug, 52 patients prescribed an antihypertensive drug only begotten or unique son, 43 patients a combination 2 an antihypertensive dru , this is more than the patients prescribed more than 2 antihypertensive drug .The success of thera, 65 the patient from 84 cases of patients who get therapy hypertension that is rational managed to reach the target the pressure of the blood and he received treatment therapy assessed as being successful. A significant relation exists between rationality therapy hypertension with guideline jnc 8 against ketercapaian the success of therapy ( p<0,05 ).

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia, decreased expression of GLUT-2 in pancreatic, and increased expression of GLUT-2 in liver. Red betel leaf seed is useful for treatment of diabetes. This study aims to determine the effect of antihyperglycemic, increased expression of GLUT-2 in pancreas, and decrease in liver of the red betel leaf ethanol extract in STZ-NA induced rats. This research used 25 male white wistar rats, which randomly divided into five groups, normal control, negative control, positive control, EEDSM dose of 50 mg/kg bw and 100 mg/kg bw. Induced STZ-NA days 0, measured glucose levels next day 5 and treated were for 14 days. Measured parameters were GLUT-2 expression in pancreas and liver. The results showed that EEDSM for 14 days qualitatively able to increase the expression of GLUT-2 in pancreatic cells with those in the normal control, negative control, positive control, EEDSM 50 mg/kg bw, and 100 mg/kg bw respectively to 100%, 32,31%, 67,67%, 52,73% and 60,01%. EEDSM qualitatively able to reduce the expression of GLUT-2 in liver cells with those in the normal control, negative control, positive control, EEDSM 50 mg/kg bw, and 100 mg/kg bw respectively to 13,21%, 100%, 52,05%, 87,08%, dan 78, 09%.

Abstract

Johar leaves contain chemical compounds, there are alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, barracol, sitosterol. This study aims to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of the johar leaf ethyl acetate fraction topically, to determine the optimum concentration of johar leaf ethyl acetate fraction in cream preparations, and to determine the physical properties of the johar cream and cream stability. The leaves of johar (Cassia siamea L.) were extracted using the maceration method with 70% ethanol. The ethanol extract of johar leaves was fractionated with water, n- hexane and ethyl acetate as solvents. The ethyl acetate fraction of johar leaves was made cream with a concentration of 2.5%, 5% and 10%. The basis and the three formulas were tested for the physical quality of the cream including the organoleptic test, homogeneity, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, cream type, pH and cream stability. The anti- inflammatory effect was determined by measuring the thickness of the back skin of the mice. The data obtained were analyzed statistically One Way Anova with a confidence level of 95% to determine that there were significant differences between treatment groups. The results showed that the leaf ethyl acetate fraction cream could provide topical anti-inflammatory effects on carrageenan-induced white mice with an effective concentration of 5% with (% PI) of 36.67%. The ethyl acetate fraction of johar leaves with a concentration of 2.5% and 5% fulfilled the requirements for the physical properties of the cream, but the cream with a concentration of 10% did not meet the requirements in the pH test. And the ethyl acetate fraction cream of johar leaves was stable in 1 month storage

Abstract

Black Onion (Allium Sativum L.) is a species of garlic that is fermented and widely used in food or health. This study aims to determine the black male onion extract antipyretic effectiveness along with to determine the impact of ethanol extract black male onion at dossage of 50mg/KgBb, 100mg/KgBb, 200mg/kgbb on male white rats induced brewer's yeast.. In this study, 25 male white rats were given five treatments: a negative control (CMC-Na), a positive control (Paracetamol 45mg/KgBb), and black onion extract treatment groups with dosages of 50mg/KgBb, 100mg/KgBb, and 200mg/KgBb. Brewer's yeast was administered intraperitoneally. Body temperature is measured rectally with a digital thermometer every 30 minutes for 150 minutes. The data obtained were used to calculate AUC, and the mean data of AUC was analyzed by saphiro wilk test and one-way ANOVA test. Body temperature measurements revealed that an ethanol extract of black onion had the most potent antipyretic effect at a dosage of 100 mg/KgBb

Abstract

Pollution caused by the discharge of waste into the waters will have an impact on water quality. Pollutants that can reduce water quality are heavy metal cadmium. Cadmium heavy metal when it enters the human body can cause toxic effects. The body needs an antidote to lower metal levels. Black onion (Allium sativum L.) contains flavonoids which are used as chelating agents. This study aims to determine the best concentration of ethanolic extract of black onion (Allium sativum L.) which can reduce cadmium levels maximally. The ethanolic extract of black onion was made in five concentration series, namely 0.2 ppm, 0.4 ppm, 0.6 ppm, 0.8 ppm, and 1 ppm. Cadmium metal (Cd) 20 ppm was treated with the addition of each concentration of black onion ethanol extract. The solution was separated with chloroform. The aqueous phase is an excess of cadmium metal which was analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) at a wavelength of 228.8 nm. The results obtained showed that the best concentration of 0.8 ppm black onion ethanol extract could reduce metal cadmium (Cd) maximally which showed a percentage of 66.3906% with a coefficient of variation of 1.5873%.
