Abstract

The shipyard industry in Indonesia plays a central role in the national economic structure. However, it faces various challenges, one of which is inefficient material management. This research explores the material management system at PT Merpati Marine Service with the aim of enhancing operational efficiency. The research method employed is a field study combining observation techniques, interviews, and literature analysis. Data collected are presented through flowcharts and qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that the material management system at PT Merpati Marine Service is still bound by conventional methods, leading to dependence on manual and computer processes, resulting in delays in material procurement and increased costs. To address this issue, the research proposes the implementation of an Application-based Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system. It is expected that this system will minimize dependence on manual and computer processes, expedite material procurement processes, enhance data accuracy, facilitate interdepartmental communication, and reduce material wastage.The implementation of the application-based MRP system is anticipated to enhance material management efficiency at PT Merpati Marine Service, ultimately positively impacting product quality, cost control, and profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause damage to the XYZ Port dock on March 10, 2024 due to ship maneuvering decisions in extreme weather. The method used is qualitative with fishbone analysis technique, this analysis leads to an in-depth understanding of the factors that are interrelated and trigger accidents. The results of the analysis showed that the main causal factor was the captain's decision, the limitations of the navigation system and the lack of coordination were the main factors that contributedto this incident. The impact of the quay damage was material loss and disruption of port operations. The XYZ Port dock accident is an important reminder for all relevant parties to increase focus on the safety aspects of shipping. By understanding the causal factors and implementing effective preventive measures, it is hoped that similar accidents can be avoided and the safety of all parties involved in maritime activities can be guaranteed.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang ditemukan dalam operasional perusahaan terletak pada kinerja Pengemudi Truk Wingbox yang berdampak pada ketepatan waktu pengiriman, kepatuhan terhadap standar operasional, serta pencapaian Service Level Agreement (SLA) dalam kegiatan distribusi Third Party Logistics (3PL). Kondisi tersebut berkaitan dengan efektivitas penerapan sistem Reward dan Punishment yang diterapkan oleh PT Exytos Mitra Aditama sebagai vendor transportasi dalam mendukung operasional distribusi e-commerce. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Reward dan Punishment terhadap kinerja Pengemudi Truk Wingbox pada bidang Third Party Logistics di PT Exytos Mitra Aditama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, memanfaatkan data primer melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada Pengemudi berstatus mitra serta data sekunder. Teknik analisis yang digunakan meliputi uji instrumen penelitian, uji asumsi klasik, dan analisis regresi linier berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial maupun simultan antara variabel Reward (X1) dan Punishment (X2) terhadap Kinerja Pengemudi (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Reward dan Punishment secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja Pengemudi Truk Wingbox. Secara parsial, Reward berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pengemudi, sementara itu, Punishment tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Pengemudi. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar variasi kinerja Pengemudi dapat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel tersebut, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model penelitian. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan sistem Reward yang adil, proporsional, dan konsisten menjadi faktor dominan dalam meningkatkan kinerja Pengemudi Truk Wingbox.
