Abstract

Leaders are in charge of determining where an organization will run. The leader is a sign,model, mover, and source of influence, who can control various activities and resources to achievehis goals. Leadership will produce a conducive work culture by encouraging member performancestrategies to increase the work motivation of all organization members. This research aims to look atthe homeroom teacher's leadership style in the learning process in grade 1 elementary school. Themethod used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis techniques. The result ofthis study is that the leadership style applied to grade 1 SD Antawirya is the modern leadership styleof the boarding. This is considered from the concept of the Antawirya Elementary School, whichadopts the boarding culture but does not forget the values of character development such as openness,flexibility, and good morals. However, the authors do not yet know how the influence of the modernleadership style of the boarding on student achievement. Therefore, the authors suggest that futureresearchers can further examine the influence of modern leadership by the homeroom teacher of SDAntawirya on student achievement.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology affects various aspects of human life,including education, economy, and communication. However, these changes also bring newchallenges, such as the spread of false information, vulnerable privacy, and inequality of access totechnology. Wise digital literacy is an urgent need in facing this challenge. Digital literacy meansknowing, the skills to understand, evaluate, and use digital information wisely. In the 4.0 era, digitalliteracy skills are an important skill for all individuals, not only for those who are actively involvedin technology. This research aims to be able to prepare students as the next generation of the nationso that they are wise in using digital-based media. The method used is by Systematic LiteratureReview (SLR). The results of this study show that many factors influence the wise use of digitalmedia, namely the need for family, school, and community support in optimizing the use of digitalmedia. Strengthening character education and continuous mentoring is one example that can beimplemented in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the implementation of Discovery Learning with an ethnopedagogy approach, which integrates local wisdom, can contribute to the formation of students' character. Through a literature review, this study analyzes various studies that implement local cultural elements in learning to identify the effectiveness of this approach in improving character values ??such as responsibility, tolerance, and respect for diversity. The method used is a systematic review of relevant articles and research that discuss the integration of local wisdom through the Discovery Learning model in the context of character education. The results of this study indicate that the Discovery Learning approach that focuses on independent exploration and discovery, when combined with local cultural values ??through ethnopedagogy, is effective in building positive character in students. Culture-based learning not only enriches students' understanding of their cultural identity but also encourages students' active involvement in appreciating and internalizing relevant social values. This study recommends the development of a sustainable learning model based on local culture as an effort to strengthen students' character based on local wisdom values. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana penerapan Discovery Learning dengan pendekatan etnopedagogi, yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal, dapat berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter siswa. Melalui tinjauan literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai studi yang mengimplementasikan elemen budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran untuk mengidentifikasi efektivitas pendekatan ini dalam meningkatkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti tanggung jawab, toleransi, dan rasa hormat terhadap keberagaman. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian sistematis terhadap artikel dan penelitian relevan yang membahas integrasi kearifan lokal melalui model Discovery Learning dalam konteks pendidikan karakter. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Discovery Learning yang berfokus pada eksplorasi dan penemuan secara mandiri, ketika dikombinasikan dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal melalui etnopedagogi, efektif dalam membangun karakter positif pada siswa. Pembelajaran berbasis budaya tidak hanya memperkaya pemahaman siswa tentang identitas budaya mereka tetapi juga mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam menghargai dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai sosial yang relevan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan model pembelajaran berkelanjutan yang berbasis budaya lokal sebagai upaya memperkuat karakter siswa yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to analyze the transformation of art education in elementary schools in the digital era by exploring literature on approaches, media, and innovative technologies applied in art education. It seeks to identify how digital advancements can enhance traditional learning models to meet the needs of the digital generation. Method: A literature review method was employed, collecting and analyzing recent studies and publications on innovative practices in elementary school art education. The review focused on project-based learning (PjBL), interactive media such as educational videos, Augmented Reality (AR), and multimedia applications. Results: The study found that innovative media and technologies significantly improve the effectiveness of art education by fostering contextual and interactive learning experiences. These innovations increase student engagement, motivation, and understanding of art. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and insufficient digital skills among teachers remain significant barriers to effective implementation. Novelty: This research provides comprehensive insights into the role of digital technologies in transforming art education in elementary schools. It highlights the necessity of culturally relevant content, teacher training, and tailored implementation strategies to address infrastructural and pedagogical challenges, offering a roadmap for optimizing art education in the digital era.

Abstract

Sekolah sebagai tempat memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan harus menjadi tempat yang menjamin dan melindungi terpenuhinya hak anak. Dengan semakin banyaknya kasus yang terjadi di dunia pendidikan, sekolah dengan berbasis nilai-nilai islam memberi warna baru dalam pemenuhan hak anak.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi program Sekolah Ramah Anak berbasis nilai-nilai Islam dalam memenuhi hak anak dan memberikan perlindungan optimal di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi di Sekolah Dasar Islam yang telah menerapkan program ini. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, siswa, guru, dan orang tua. Penelitian dilakukan selama rentang waktu tiga bulan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman, seperti kasih sayang (rahmah), keadilan (‘adl), dan penghormatan terhadap martabat manusia (karamah insaniyah), memperkuat efektivitas pelaksanaan Sekolah Ramah Anak. Program ini berkontribusi positif dalam menjamin hak anak atas pendidikan, perlindungan dari kekerasan, partisipasi aktif, serta kesehatan dan kesejahteraan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya penguatan kebijakan internal sekolah yang berbasis syariat Islam yang moderat dan berorientasi pada pemenuhan hak anak. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi pendidik untuk memahami prinsip perlindungan anak dalam konteks pendidikan Islam

Abstract

General Background: Teacher productivity is a critical factor in achieving educational quality in Islamic-based schools. Specific Background: Spiritual values and organizational work culture are frequently highlighted as contributing elements to improve teacher motivation and performance, yet studies examining both aspects simultaneously remain limited. Knowledge Gap: Previous research has focused more on technical competencies and management systems, while the integration of spirituality and work culture into teacher productivity has not been fully explored. Aim: This study aims to analyze the role of spirituality and work culture in supporting teacher productivity in Islamic-based schools. Results: The findings show that spirituality fosters commitment, responsibility, and sincerity, while a strong work culture creates discipline, collaboration, and consistency, both of which significantly reinforce teacher productivity. Novelty: The research highlights the simultaneous contribution of spiritual values and work culture, providing a more holistic perspective on teacher performance in Islamic-based schools. Implications: The results suggest that Islamic schools should prioritize both spiritual development and a supportive work culture to sustainably increase teacher productivity and institutional quality. Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of civic engagement in the Indonesian national curriculum through a literature review approach. Civic engagement is a key element in building students' national identity, character, and social competence. Integrating civic engagement into the curriculum is essential for preparing young generations to become active, critical, and responsible citizens, both nationally and globally. The literature review method used in this study involves identifying, analyzing, and synthesizing scientific articles, research reports, and policy documents from national and international sources published between 2015 and 2025. The findings reveal that although civic engagement has been partially incorporated into the curriculum, it remains largely confined to specific subjects and extracurricular activities without cross-disciplinary integration. Several challenges hinder the optimal implementation of civic engagement, including insufficient teacher training, an overemphasis on cognitive assessments, infrastructure disparities, lack of clear policy guidelines, and limited community involvement. Addressing these issues requires systematic efforts such as enhancing active learning methods, balancing cognitive and experiential assessments, providing equitable infrastructure, and fostering stronger collaboration between schools and communities. This study underscores the urgent need for comprehensive and structured integration of civic engagement across the curriculum to develop a generation capable of upholding democratic values and contributing positively to a diverse, interconnected world.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of learning about the historical struggle of heroes in developing civic engagement among 5th grade Elementary Madrasah (MI) students through an inquiry approach that integrates STEM-R (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Religion). The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of reflection tasks and Student Work Sheets (LKPD). The results show that the integration of STEM-R into history learning enhances students' understanding of heroes’ struggles and nurtures values such as of courage, sacrifice, mutual assistance, and steadfast faith which are applicable in daily life. Students become more active, creative, and motivated in their learning and demonstrate civic engagement through real-life action. Although differences in comprehension levels remain, this approach significantly contributes to character building The findings imply thst STEM-R and inquiry-and inquiry-based learning not only improve content mastery but also serve as effective frameworks  for value education in primary schools. Practically, educator are encouraged to adopt STEM-R strategies to foster civic awareness and student participation beyond the classroom. Further implementation should include personalized support to ensure all learners internalize heroic values meaningfully.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran pembelajaran sejarah perjuangan pahlawan dalam mengembangkan civic engagement pada siswa kelas 5 MI melalui pendekatan inkuiri yang mengintegrasikan STEM-R (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Religion). Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis tugas refleksi dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi STEM-R dalam pembelajaran sejarah mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi perjuangan pahlawan serta menumbuhkan nilai-nilai keberanian, pengorbanan, gotong royong, dan keteguhan iman yang diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif, dan termotivasi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan melakukan aksi nyata yang mencerminkan civic engagement. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan tingkat pemahaman di antara siswa, pendekatan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membangun karakter dan keterlibatan sosial. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dan STEM-R secara berkelanjutan serta pendekatan personal untuk mendukung semua siswa menginternalisasi nilai-nilai perjuangan pahlawan.

Abstract

Education does not only involve mastering academic knowledge, but also involves forming a strong personality in students. Therefore, educational management that focuses on the sociology of education is very important to strengthen students' overall character. This research uses a literature study method to investigate the role of educational sociology in shaping student character through educational management. The aim of this research is to collect and display relevant reading material regarding the importance of educational sociology in educational management, using the literature review method. From the research results, it can be concluded that the implications of sociology are closely related to the field of education, as a scientific discipline that seeks to understand methods for managing the educational process in order to advance individual personality development. Sociology of education is in-depth and deals with various problems that arise in the educational context, especially in social interactions between students and their environment, teachers and peers. Apart from that, educational sociology also observes social phenomena that arise in the education system.
