Abstract

This research discusses hermeneutics in the study of Alquran interpretation. The aim of this research is to understand the meaning of the text and context in interpreting the Alquran properly and correctly and making the understanding more comprehensive and accurate as well as its application in the current context. This research uses qualitative methods with a thematic analysis approach. By examining books, journals, research reports, magazines, tafsir books and other literature that discusses hermeneutics and interpretation of the Alquran. Then it is analyzed thematically based on the explanations contained in the interpretive books of the mufassir. Furthermore, to strengthen the analysis and discussion, the author also refers to expert opinions and various findings from previous researchers regarding this issue and topic. The result of this research is that we can understand the Alquran both in terms of the text and its context because the text cannot be separated from the context in which the text is expressed. To understand this, several rules are needed for understanding text and context. Among them you need to understand Asbab an-Nuzul, which is the specific background behind the revelation of a verse or chapter is also important to understand the text as a whole. Second, draft munasabah helps find connections and harmony between various verses. Third, draft nasikh mansukh highlighting changes and developments in understanding over time. This discussion is very important to discuss in contemporary times to help provide a deeper understanding of the study of Alquran interpretation and bring it to the present.

Abstract

This research examines the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) in facilitating Collaborative Classroom Management one of the universities in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to identify the challenges and opportunities that arise in these approaches to facilitate the implementation of classroom management as well as how students engage in collaborative learning. The research design used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are through interviews with students and lecturers, as well as classroom observations. The research informants numbered 20 people including the principal, lecturers, students and teaching staff. And the data analysis technique uses an interactive model including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that both PjBL and PBL have the potential to improve collaborative classroom management, but some challenges such as inadequate resources, time constraints and diverse student abilities need to be addressed. Nonetheless, these approaches also offer opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. This study concludes that a well-structured implementation of PjBL and PBL, coupled with continuous support from lecturers can significantly improve collaborative classroom management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the core character values and formation strategies implemented by dzuriyah (descendants of the founders) in shaping the character of santri ndalem (resident student-assistants) at Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo HM Al-Mahrusiyah. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that key character values instilled include tafaqquh fi ad-din (deep religious understanding), honesty, responsibility, discipline, and independence. These values are internalized through daily acts of service, emotional closeness, and consistent spiritual practice. The character-building strategies consist of habitual training, role modeling, situational advice, and spiritual reinforcement through prayer. The relationship between dzuriyah and santri ndalem resembles a familial bond that fosters a holistic and humanistic learning environment. Challenges include role conflict between academic obligations and service duties, as well as cultural diversity among students. Despite its single-site limitation, this study contributes conceptually to the development of community-based and spiritually grounded character education in Islamic boarding schools, aligning with Global Citizenship Education values of empathy, tolerance, and moral responsibility.

Abstract

The ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters is an important initial stage in Quranic learning for children with intellectual disabilities. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of sandpaper letters as an alternative method of Quranic learning in improving the ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters in children with mild intellectual disabilities. This study used a quantitative method with a Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B-A design. Data sources were obtained through observation, interviews, and tests of a subject with mild intellectual disabilities at a school in Indonesia. All data were analyzed using (state the analysis tool) with visual graphic analysis techniques. The results of the analysis of 13 meetings showed that the data obtained in each condition, namely at baseline (A1), was carried out in 3 meetings with scores of 35%, 35%, and 35%. During the observation of the intervention condition (B), 7 meetings were held with percentages of 50%, 60%, 75%, 80%, 95%, 95%, and 95%. Finally, observations conducted during the baseline condition (A2) were carried out in 3 sessions with percentages of 90%, 90%, and 90%. Thus, sandpaper letters are effective as an alternative for multisensory-based Quran learning for children with mild intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of Islamic boarding schools in marketing education amidst the onslaught of educational competition that utilizes digital technology by non-Islamic boarding school educational institutions and to find the unique marketing values of Islamic boarding schools that have made them survive until now. The approach used is qualitative with a case study type. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis uses three interactive models: reduction, presentation, data depiction, and conclusion. The study results show that educational marketing is done by dominating social media, sharing information, activities, and achievements, and holding online registration. In addition, digital marketing is also carried out by managing websites and social media. These findings indicate that implementing a curriculum that focuses on students’ competence can be a model of adaptation for other Islamic boarding schools and influence educational marketing trends by directing strategies toward digital, increasing competitiveness, and preparing students to face future challenges. This Islamic boarding school also carries out digital content relevance in the form of graphic design training activities, applications, and creative videos and films.

Abstract

In the early days of the Quran's revelation, there were only two reasons why the companions memorized the Quran: sincere intentions for Allah and to preserve the purity of the Quran. However, today, there are various motivations for memorizing the Quran. The purpose of this study is to determine the motivations for memorizing the Quran among students at Quranic colleges in Indonesia. To achieve this research objective, the author used two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. In the first stage, the author employed a qualitative approach involving twenty participants who were interviewed in depth. The participants were selected using purposive sampling techniques from the 2019, 2020, and 2021 cohorts. The collected data were then analyzed thematically using NVivo. The results of the first stage of the study identified nine motivations for students to memorize the Quran. These findings became the basis for the author to conduct the second stage of research using a quantitative approach. The nine motivations for memorizing the Quran were used as instruments, compiled in a Likert scale format to collect data on students’ motivations. This was done to confirm the findings in the first stage of research. In the second stage, the author involved 250 participants from a total of 1,500 students at Quranic colleges in Indonesia. The collected data were then analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26 software. The results of the second stage showed consistency with the first stage. This study provides an overview of students’ motivations for memorizing the Quran at Quranic higher education institutions in Indonesia and shows that there has been a shift in the motives for memorization. Further studies need to revisit the issue of motivation in the context of restoring the purity of intention or making these nine motivations a reference for future research on Quran memorization.
