Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the Wafa method in learning tahfizh Quran, to determine the evaluation of the Wafa method in learning tahfizh Quran and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Wafa method in learning tahfizh Quran at the Tahfizh School of Light Above Light. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research analysis show that the implementation of the Wafa method in learning tahfzih Quran at Tahfizh Cahaya di Atas Cahaya School is as follows: Preparations made by teachers in learning tahfizh Quran, namely teachers plan learning by making learning tools such as learning process plan, Wafa book as a learning medium and the Quran as the main source. Implementation of learning means the teacher instills intention and motivates students before learning begins. Evaluation of students' abilities is carried out by the teacher by testing the memorization of the Quran which has previously been memorized. Supporting factors are adequate infrastructure, and a conducive school environment, while inhibiting factors are teachers' uneven understanding of the Wafa method, the existence of children's different learning styles, and a lack of cooperation between teachers and parents. The results of this research can provide guidance for the Tahfizh Cahaya di Atas Cahaya School and perhaps also for other schools, and can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Quran teachers play a crucial role in preserving and disseminating Islamic religious knowledge. This profession faces a dilemma between devotion to the ummah and the demands of modern professionalism. This study aims to analyze the role, challenges, and prospects of Quran teachers in contemporary social and economic contexts. A qualitative method with a phenomenological approach was chosen for this research. Data were collected from one hundred and five Quran teachers selected through purposive sampling and analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 software. The results indicate that, while the role of a Quran teacher is still regarded as noble and meaningful, practitioners encounter economic difficulties and lack social recognition. Therefore, strategies are needed to enhance the quality and professionalism of Quran teachers and to strengthen their role in society. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of Quran teachers and its implications for the development of Islamic society.

Abstract

Early marriage is a significant sociocultural phenomenon, especially among Muslims, which is influenced by various religious, economic, and social factors. This study aims to analyze the marital satisfaction of couples who married at a young age. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a survey approach. The data source was taken using a questionnaire from 32 married couples who married at a young age with the category that the husband was under 25 years old at the time of marriage, while the wife was under 21 years old. All data was then analyzed using SPPS Windows Version 20 software. Overall, the statistical analysis results showed that 32 married couples stated that they were satisfied with their partners while building a household. Marital satisfaction in question is measured through six aspects, namely; aspects of communication, conflict resolution, finances, sexual relations, the role of each husband and wife in the family, and religious life. This means that the six aspects used as instrument items in this research were felt to be satisfactory by all married couple after getting married. The results of this study have at least refuted the assumption that marrying at a young age tends to fail. In other words, age at marriage does not determine success in the household. The success of a marriage is determined if the husband and wife know their respective roles and responsibilities well.

Abstract

Quranic education is a crucial aspect of shaping the identity and values of Muslim societies. However, Muslim-majority countries face various challenges in providing high-quality Quranic education. This study aims to analyze the problems related to Quranic education in these countries. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach in several majority-Muslim countries. Data were collected through interviews with Quranic education experts, teachers, and students, as well as through document and literature analysis. All data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique with NVivo 12 software. The research findings indicate that the challenges in Quranic education include the absence of legislation governing the Quranic teaching profession, limited availability of qualified teachers, low competence in instructional management, the fact that not all Quran teachers possess a bachelor's degree in Quranic education, insufficient professional development due to a lack of continuous training, the profession's lack of appeal to Islamic scholars because it does not promise a future career, and inadequate teacher compensation. The findings underscore the importance of implementing systematic and strategic improvements to enhance the quality of Quranic education.
