Abstract

Sustainability awareness has become an increasingly important aspect of global education, especially in the face of environmental challenges. This approach to education with sustainable principles is needed to educate the current generation to meet their needs without risking the next generation, including the issue of food waste. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of sustainability awareness in high school students related to the issue of food waste. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from three aspects of sustainability awareness: behavior and attitude awareness, emotional awareness, and sustainability practice awareness. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by determining the mean and percentage and then categorizing the level of sustainability awareness. The results showed that 56% of students have awareness related to the issue of food waste at a moderate level. So, it can be concluded that students have an awareness of the value of sustainability at an emotional level without practicing it in everyday life.

Abstract

The method used in the research is quantitative descriptive method. The population is the students of the 12th grade of SMA N Kerjo consisting of 274 students.the sampling technique used in the research is purposive sampling technique, using 88 samples of respondents. The data collection used questionnaire. The research used classical asumption analysis, multiple linear regression test, goodness of fit test (form F), hypothesis test (form T), and coefficient of determination using SPSS version 26. The results of the reseach show that (1) Social Media brought significant impact to the learning achievement, (2) Parental Attention gave out significant impact to the learning achievement, (3) Frienship Environment didn’t bring any impact to the students’ learning achievement, (4) Learning Motivation brought significant impact to the learning achievement. The variables of Social Media, parental attention, friendship environment, and learning motivation affected to the students’ learning achievement at 61.3%, while 38.7% were affected by other variables which weren’t researched, such as independence, discipline, learning style, learning interest, students’ activeness, teaching method, teacher’s competence, learning facilities, etc. The research suggests that SMA Kerjo keep and improve the guidance in using Social Media, Parental Attention, Friendship Environment, and Learning Motivation so that it will also improve students’ learning achievement to become better.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of the traditional Goyang Karawang dance (GoKar) into biology education, particularly in teaching the human musculoskeletal system. Using a qualitative case study approach informed by ethnobiological and ethnopedagogical frameworks, data were collected through performance observations, interviews with dance artists and high school biology teachers, and document analysis. The analysis focused on the biomechanics and socio-cognitive meanings of core GoKar movements. Findings reveal that the dance involves coordinated actions of key muscle groups and joints, such as agonist-antagonist pairs and postural control centered in the hip and shoulder areas. Simultaneously, each movement expresses cultural values of grace, confidence, and balance, reflecting Sundanese philosophies of harmony. These embodied elements connect scientific anatomical knowledge with students’ lived cultural experiences. The research contributes to culturally responsive pedagogy by offering an experiential learning model that supports conceptual understanding while reinforcing local wisdom as a valid epistemic resource. This integration aligns with the goals of Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum and the Profile of Pancasila Students, promoting critical thinking, autonomy, and appreciation of cultural diversity. Overall, the study offers a transdisciplinary approach to science education that is inclusive, contextual, and pedagogically meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a discovery-based outdoor learning model integrated with Papuan local wisdom to improve the collaboration skills and understanding of biodiversity concepts of phase E students at SMAN Khas Papua. The background of this study is based on the low context of science learning regarding the local environment and culture, even though Papua has very high ecological and cultural potential to be used as a learning resource. The method used is the Design-Based Research (DBR) Plomp model which consists of three stages: introduction, development/prototyping, and summative assessment. The results of expert validation show that the model and learning tools have very good validity values (Average Validator Agreement > 3.5). Practicality tests through observation and questionnaires on teachers and students show that the model is easy to implement and helps make learning meaningful. The effectiveness of the model is proven by a significant increase in student learning outcomes (t-test; p < 0.05) as well as the development of collaboration skills through outdoor learning. The integration of Papuan local wisdom, such as forest conservation practices and traditional medicine, encourages emotional engagement and contextual scientific understanding. This model also supports the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. This research makes an important contribution to the development of innovative and adaptive local culture-based science learning in the 3T context. Further, large-scale studies are needed to test the model's sustainability and replicability in various regions with similar characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Project-Based Learning (STEM-PjBL) model in enhancing students' critical thinking skills through the contextual integration of bir pletok, a traditional beverage known for supporting digestive health. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA 2020 protocol, analyzing 30 scientific articles that met defined inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed that STEM-PjBL significantly improves students' critical thinking, particularly in the domains of analysis, evaluation, and inference. Incorporating bir pletok as a learning context provided authentic, culturally relevant experiences that bridged scientific concepts with local wisdom. Key factors influencing learning success included the use of technology, personalized learning strategies, and the integration of indigenous knowledge. These findings contribute both theoretically and practically to the design of holistic and contextual 21st-century learning models that are sustainable and culturally responsive.

Abstract

Innovation plays an important role in realizing the ninth goal of sustainable development growths (SDGs), which focuses on increasing industrial capacity and industrial inclusiveness. Partners in this community service program are business actors in the welding workshop sector who have been running their business since 2007. Our Partners still unable to manage their finance. The failures in financial management make it difficult for partners to renew existing equipment. This condition causes the work environment to be not conducive. In addition, the lack of marketing activities means that partners have never received orders from outside their region. This community services want to solve these problems by transferring science and technology as well as additional assistance and capital provided to business actors. The involvement of students in this service program will encourage the implementation of their knowledge by carrying out learning activities outside the campus in the business world. This dedication shows a change in the behavior of business actors, especially in the field of occupational health and safety. Partners have started to separate business and household finances. Unfortunately, the optimization of business digitalization is still not optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of POGIL-based LKPD to empower students' critical thinking skills and Science Process Skills. The type of research used is research and development with research procedures using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research is limited to the feasibility test of POGIL-based LKPD at the development stage. The assessment of the results of the validity test and the practicality test of the questionnaire is interpreted on a Likert scale. Based on data analysis, the following results were obtained: product validity test in the form of POGIL-based LKPD by media experts obtained an average of 87% with very feasible criteria and 78.3% by material experts with feasible criteria. Practicality tests conducted by Biology teachers get an average of 84.35% and students 85% with very decent criteria.

Abstract

The implementation of this study aims to analyze students' learning motivation toward the application of the Guided Inquiry learning model at SMA Colombo Yogyakarta. The research design used in this research is experimental. The sample used in this study was class XI students with a total of 9 students, but learning activities were carried out in one class but focused on 9 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique was carried out by filling in the student's learning motivation questionnaire. The data analysis used is a descriptive analysis by calculating the percentage of the overall score on the learning motivation questionnaire. The results of this study are the level of learning motivation of students at SMA Colombo Yogyakarta in the high category by filling out a questionnaire by 5 students and very high by filling out a questionnaire by 4 students. The role of the teacher in learning activities using the Guided Inquiry model has a very large role in developing students' learning motivation.
