Abstract

Kurangnya penggunaan media yang inovatif membuat peserta didik pasif saat pembelajaran operasi hitung bilangan cacah. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan peserta didik kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan produk media corong berhitung yang valid, praktis dan efektif serta mendeskripsikan pengembangan media corong berhitung pada materi operasi hitung bilangan cacah untuk siswa kelas III SDN 32 Cakranegara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas III SDN 32 Cakranegara. Sedangkan, objek penelitian adalah media corong berhitung. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media sangat valid dengan persentase 92,11% dari ahli materi dan 98,53% dari ahli media. Kepraktisan media memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis dengan persentase 98,53% berdasarkan respon guru. Efektivitas media tergolong tinggi, dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,83 pada kelompok kecil dan 0,78 pada kelompok besar. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media corong berhitung dapat dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which aims to describe the improvement of understanding of science concepts by applying the Experiment method. The design of this study uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model which is carried out in two cycles. Participants in this study were 15 students of grade III SDN 31 Mataram consisting of 8 male students and 7 female students. This study used data collection techniques in the form of evaluation tests and non-test techniques in the form of observation, while the data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive. The results of the study in cycle I with a percentage reaching 67% of the total number of 15 students. In cycle I, students who did not meet the KKM were 5 students or around 33% in the sufficient category. In cycle II, students who met the KKM (70) were 13 students or 86% of the total number of 15 students with the good category. In cycle II, students who did not meet the KKM were 2 students or only 14%. Thus, through the application of the experimental method, understanding of science concepts can be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using fraction block media on fifth-grade students' understanding of fraction comparison concepts at SDN 2 Bajur. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 50 students, with Class VA (25 students) as the experimental group and Class VB (25 students) as the control group. Data were collected using tests. The analysis results showed an improvement in understanding after the treatment. The average post-test score of the experimental group was 84.40, while the control group scored an average of 76.80. The hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.033 ≤ 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This suggests a significant effect of using fraction block media on students’ understanding of fraction comparison concepts. The effectiveness of the media was calculated at 67.30%, categorized as moderately effective. Therefore, the use of fraction block media has proven effective in enhancing fifth-grade students' understanding of fraction comparison concepts at SDN 2 Bajur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using snakes and ladders media on the mathematical problem solving skills of fifth grade students at SDN 4 Cakranegara. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design type nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this study amounted to 42 students, consisting of class VA (22 students) as the experimental class and class VB (20 students) as the control class. Data collection methods are observation and test. The results of the research analysis concluded that between the experimental class and the control class there was a significant difference and an increase after treatment. In the experimental class, the average posttest score obtained by students was 84.90 while in the control class it was 65.60. In testing the hypothesis using an independent sample t test, the sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) (<0.001) ≤ 0.05 then rejected and accepted and the effect size test results obtained are 1,596 in the very large category. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the use of snakes and ladders media on the mathematical problem solving ability of fifth grade students at SDN 4 Cakranegara.
