Abstract

This study employs a qualitative comparative case study design to explore the influence of parental involvement on students' academic achievement across different educational systems. By examining how parental involvement is perceived and practiced in various contexts, the research aims to understand the impact of these variations on students' academic outcomes. Participants, including parents, teachers, and students, were selected through purposive sampling to represent diverse educational systems. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis revealed key themes related to the nature of parental involvement, perceptions of parental roles, and the impact on academic achievement. Comparative analysis across different educational systems highlighted both similarities and differences in parental involvement practices, influenced by cultural attitudes and institutional policies. The findings suggest that robust parental involvement, supported by effective policies and resources, positively impacts students' academic performance. The study's implications extend to educational policy, emphasizing the need for culturally responsive and inclusive approaches to enhance parental engagement in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Permasalahan lingkungan hidup yang semakin kompleks menuntut pendekatan lintas disiplin, termasuk dari aspek pendidikan dan keagamaan. Islam sebagai agama yang menyeluruh telah mengajarkan pentingnya menjaga kelestarian alam sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab manusia sebagai khalifah di bumi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam penerapan nilai-nilai Islam dalam proses edukasi lingkungan di MA Pondok Pesantren Al Manshur Al Islamy Kediri. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam dilakukan secara terpadu dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, praktik kehidupan sehari-hari, serta program ekstrakurikuler berbasis lingkungan. Pendidikan lingkungan berbasis ajaran Islam tidak hanya menyasar dimensi kognitif dan afektif, tetapi juga memperkuat kesadaran spiritual bahwa menjaga alam merupakan bagian dari ibadah kepada Allah SWT. Nilai-nilai seperti amanah, tanggung jawab, dan kebersihan dijadikan landasan dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang peduli terhadap lingkungan. Dalam konteks ini, pondok pesantren berperan strategis dalam menanamkan sikap ekologis kepada generasi muda Muslim.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase kritis dalam pembentukan identitas diri dan stabilitas mental individu. Di tengah arus globalisasi, derasnya budaya populer, serta eksposur media sosial yang intens, banyak remaja Muslim mengalami kebingungan nilai, penurunan rasa percaya diri, serta tekanan psikologis yang berdampak pada meningkatnya kasus kecemasan, depresi, dan perilaku menyimpang. Fenomena ini menunjukkan adanya krisis identitas dan gangguan kesehatan mental yang kian mengkhawatirkan di kalangan pelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pendidikan agama Islam dalam merespons fenomena tersebut dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk identitas religius yang kuat, menanamkan nilai-nilai tauhid, serta membimbing siswa untuk memiliki ketahanan spiritual dan mental yang kokoh. Pendidikan Islam tidak hanya memberikan pemahaman teologis, tetapi juga membentuk karakter tangguh dalam menghadapi tekanan sosial, akademik, dan budaya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya integrasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kurikulum pendidikan sebagai upaya preventif dan kuratif terhadap krisis identitas dan masalah kesehatan mental di kalangan siswa

Abstract

This research examines the strengthening of Al-Qur’an literacy through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SD Ashabul Kahfi PK Sidoharjo. Al-Qur’an literacy in this context goes beyond the mechanical ability to read Arabic script; it also includes the comprehension of meaning, internalization of Qur’anic values, and their application in everyday life. Employing a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis, the study reveals that Qur’anic literacy reinforcement is primarily implemented through the habituation of reading the Qur’an before daily learning activities.  This program is designed to prepare students’ mental and spiritual readiness while embedding religious values into their daily routines, serving as a preventive measure against moral decline in the era of globalization. Key supporting factors in the implementation of the program include strong collaboration among school stakeholders—teachers, principals, and administrative staff—as well as active parental involvement. These elements contribute to a school environment that consistently promotes Qur’anic engagement and values-based education.  However, a notable challenge remains: the lack of awareness among some students regarding the deeper significance of Qur’anic learning. This is reflected in the low intrinsic motivation and passive participation observed during Qur’an reading sessions. Despite this, the program has shown measurable effectiveness in enhancing students’ Qur’anic reading fluency and comprehension, while also positively contributing to their character formation.  The educational approach adopted by the school is oriented toward Rabbani values those centered on spiritual consciousness and moral excellence. Through consistent Qur’an-based character education, students are encouraged to develop noble traits such as discipline, humility, patience, and emotional regulation. In conclusion, the Qur’anic literacy program at SD Ashabul Kahfi PK Sidoharjo presents a valuable model for integrating religious instruction with holistic character education, contributing meaningfully to the school’s broader mission of shaping spiritually resilient and morally upright individuals.

Abstract

Transformasi pendidikan di era digital telah memunculkan tantangan dan peluang baru, khususnya bagi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang memiliki peran strategis dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh digitalisasi pembelajaran terhadap peran guru PAI, mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam penguasaan kompetensi digital, serta merumuskan strategi optimalisasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di Sekolah Tahfizhul Quran Al Kautsar Klaten. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi telah mengubah peran guru PAI menjadi lebih dinamis sebagai fasilitator dan pembimbing dalam konteks pembelajaran digital. Namun, sejumlah kendala seperti rendahnya literasi digital, keterbatasan infrastruktur, serta kesulitan dalam pengembangan konten islami berbasis multimedia menjadi hambatan yang signifikan. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, diperlukan strategi komprehensif berupa pelatihan intensif, pengembangan bahan ajar digital yang bernilai, pemanfaatan platform pembelajaran yang tepat, dan penguatan komunikasi dengan wali peserta didik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kolaborasi antara guru, sekolah, dan pemangku kepentingan guna menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran agama yang inovatif dan tetap berakar pada nilai-nilai Islam

Abstract

This research deeply examines character building in productive age through non- formal education approach and strategic collaboration between parents and At- Tanzil Guidance Center, Serdang, Malaysia. Productive age is a crucial period in character building, but the lack of solid synergy between parents and non-formal education institutions often becomes an obstacle in achieving transformative results.  Through a case study method with interview and observation techniques with parents, learners, and teachers, it was found that the active involvement of parents with programs in Sanggar significantly increased the motivation, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and empathy of learners. This study recommends the development of more innovative programs and the strengthening of sustainable collaboration between families and non-formal education institutions. Various positive activities such as skills training and religious activities have proven to be able to be internalized into children's daily lives, especially when supported by the consistent role of parents at home. The role of parents is proven to be the main pillar in maintaining continuity and strengthening the impact of the education that has been initiated, making it a non-negotiable key factor in the success of character building.  The survey results strongly suggest that the role of parents is not just important, but is a vital, strategic, and irreplaceable keyword in sustaining, strengthening, and ensuring the continuity of every educational achievement that has been pioneered in the Guidance Studio at tanzil serdang malaysia. Parental support, whether in the form of active involvement, intense communication with the school, or attention to the development of children's learning at home, is the main foundation for the success of the educational process. Without a strong synergy between schools and parents, all the efforts and educational programs that have been implemented will be difficult to achieve maximum and sustainable results.

Abstract

The transformation of digital education presents both challenges and opportunities for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, particularly in shaping students’ character. This study aims to examine the impact of learning digitalization on the role of PAI teachers, the challenges they face in mastering technology, and the strategies for developing digital-based learning at Tahfizhul Quran Al Kautsar School in Klaten. This research employs a qualitative case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation conducted in June 2025. The findings indicate that digitalization has shifted the role of teachers to become more active facilitators. However, challenges such as low digital literacy and limited infrastructure remain significant obstacles. Solutions include training, the development of Islamic digital teaching materials, the use of appropriate platforms, and communication with students’ guardians. Collaboration among teachers, schools, and relevant stakeholders is essential to create innovative yet value-driven Islamic education.

Abstract

This research examines the prohibition on women traveling without a mahram from both textual and contextual perspectives. The study begins by presenting the text of a hadith from Sahih Muslim, which states that a woman is not allowed to travel for three days unless accompanied by a mahram. It then explores the concept of mahram in Islam, including kinship, breastfeeding, and marital relations. In the textual analysis phase, the research reviews the opinions of the four major schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali), which generally require the presence of a mahram for women traveling, especially for pilgrimage (hajj). The study also presents variations among scholars regarding the distance allowed for a woman’s journey and the conditions for safe travel. In the contextualization phase, the research critiques the purely textual approach by considering modern contexts where security measures for women have greatly improved. It finds that the original reason for the prohibition was to protect women’s safety and honor, which was relevant to the historical context. Therefore, modern social and security contexts should be considered in implementing the hadith to make its interpretation more relevant to contemporary women’s needs

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to the world of education, including Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the ethics of AI usage and its implications for Islamic education from the perspective of sharia values and the objectives of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah). Using a library research approach, data were collected from academic literature, scientific articles, and relevant documents discussing AI, Islamic ethics, and education. The findings indicate that Islam conditionally supports technological advancement, including AI, as long as it aligns with key ethical principles such as justice, trustworthiness (amānah), responsibility, transparency, and privacy protection. AI is considered capable of enhancing the quality of religious learning through personalized content, automated instruction, and expanded access to education, particularly in remote areas. However, AI also poses a number of ethical challenges, including the potential distortion of religious understanding, the dehumanization of the teacher's role, algorithmic bias, and violations of moral and spiritual values. Therefore, a clear Islamic ethical framework is essential, along with the active involvement of scholars (‘ulamā’), increased digital literacy among educators, and the development of authentic Islamic content. With these foundations, AI can serve as a tool to support the holistic and ethical vision of Islamic education without compromising its core divine values.
