Abstract

Media is one of the components of learning that has an important role in supporting learning success. With this role, the development of creating media for learning and the use of learning media is necessary to attract students' interest so that they are more enthusiastic about the learning process. If students are enthusiastic about the learning process, it will certainly impact their learning outcomes. The positive power and synergy of the media can bring learning in a more creative, innovative, and dynamic direction. The development of the website application or named Hikayaat is intended to increase student learning outcomes regarding SKI subjects, especially the material for the progress of Islamic civilization and culture during the Abbasid era. In the process of developing the Hikayaat using the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages; The first is needs analysis to find the right problem and solution. The second is designing learning media includes the preparation of guidebooks, making needs maps. The third is develop a website application-based learning media then validated to experts. The fourth is testing the learning media and distributing student response questionnaires, and the fifth is evaluate and improve website application-based learning media Abstrak Media merupakan satu dari sekian komponen pembelajaran yang perannya amat penting demi menunjang keberhasilan belajar. Kekuatan positif dan sinergi yang dimiliki media mampu membawa pembelajaran ke arah yang lebih kreatif, inovatif, dan dinamis. Dengan perannya tersebut, pengembangan dalam pembuatan dan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran menjadi sangat perlu untuk menarik minat siswa sehingga lebih antusias dalam proses belajar, jika siswa antusias tentunya akan berdampak pada hasil belajar mereka. Pembuatan aplikasi web atau yang diberi nama Hikayaat ini dimaksudkan untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mengenai mata pelajaran SKI khususnya pada materi kemajuan peradaban dan kebudayaan Islam masa daulah Abbasiyah. Dalam proses pengembangannya, media Hikayaat menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang memiliki 5 tahapan; yang pertama menganalisis kebutuhan untuk menemukan masalah dan solusi yang tepat. Kedua, merancang media pembelajaran, menyusun buku pedoman, peta kebutuhan, dan rancangan. Ketiga, mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis website application kemudian divalidasikan kepada para ahli. Keempat, mengujicobakan media pembelajaran berbasis website application dan meyebarkan angket respon siswa, dan yang kelima adalah melakukan evaluasi serta perbaikan media pembelajaran berbasis website application.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the senior high school level continues to face challenges in enhancing student motivation and engagement, primarily due to monotonous and minimally interactive instructional methods. To address this issue, the present study aims to develop a learning medium in the form of a Snakes and Ladders game based on a joyful learning approach, integrated with question and challenge cards, and to assess its feasibility through expert validation and limited trials. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) framework, this study adopts the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The learning medium is designed based on the thematic content of Q.S. al-Māidah / 5:48, which emphasizes competing in goodness, and Q.S. at-Taubah / 9:10, which highlights the Islamic work ethic. Validation by media experts yielded an average score of 3.85, while material experts assigned a score of 3.71, both categorized as “highly feasible.” Implementation in Grade X of senior high school demonstrated that the media enhanced students’ conceptual understanding, encouraged healthy social interactions, and nurtured their learning spirit. Despite certain limitations, such as time constraints and the dominance of the game-related elements, the media effectively supported an active and enjoyable learning process. Therefore, the snakes and ladders-based learning medium presents a promising pedagogical innovation for contextualizing Islamic Religious Education and reinforcing character development among high school students.   Keywords: Learning Media, Snakes and Ladders, Joyful Learning, Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

The teacher centered learning (TCL) learning approach is still one of the common problems often faced in Islamic Religious Education learning including the subject of akidah akhlak. In fact, since the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, the student centered learning (SCL) approach has been echoed but has not been fully realized until the implementation of the merdeka curriculum. Therefore, this study aims to analyze more deeply the application of the SCL approach to learning akidah akhlak which in this case utilizes the use of the mind mapping method in order to create active learning as expected by the merdeka curriculum. This research is a case study research that uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. And the data analysis technique is carried out by data condensation, data presentation, and ending with drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the application of the mind mapping method in the subject of akidah and akhlak applied in MTs Tarbiyatut Tholabah class VIII female is effective in improving understanding, creativity, collaboration and making learning more enjoyable for students. In the regular home class shows a higher level of creativity and in the takhassush class shows aspects of active discussion and deep understanding.
