Abstract

Mathematics teaching and learning should equip students with the ability to think critically and creatively and problem-solving skill to enable them to compete in the industrial revolution 4.0. This descriptive explorative study explores the readiness and challenges faced by Indonesian junior high school (SMP/MTs) student in solving HOTs type mathematics test using Islamic context. Data were collected from a test-based open-ended questionnaire distributed to 164 students in the 8th of five schools in Sidoarjo East Java comprising 2 junior madrasas (Islamic schools), 2 Islamic-based junior high schools and 1 public junior high school. Descriptive analysis using SPSS and categorization of responses (referring to response options in the questionnaire such as have ever-never, necessary-unnecessary, answered-not answered, etc) show that considering their experience, the students are “less ready” to face HOTs type mathematics test. However, students expect that they can be given more practices in doing HOTs type mathematics questions to help them get accustomed to this type of question. Being unaccustomed to non-routine and lengthy questions, lazy trait and being unfamiliar to Islamic terms used as the context of the question becomes the challenges for the students in facing HOTs type mathematics test.

Abstract

Math anxiety is a crucial problem experienced by almost all students. Due to the math anxiety affects the decreasing of mathematics achievement, many educators and researchers focused to overcome the math anxiety. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effects of math self-efficacy, social support, and academic flow on math anxiety. This research used a quantitative approach, by using psychological scales survey as a data collection. The participants of this study were 167 students which were collected using quota sampling technique at two high schools. The results show that there was a simultaneous significant negative effect of math self-efficacy, social support, and academic flow toward math anxiety. In addition, the partial analysis shows that there is no significant effect between math self-efficacy and math anxiety. While social support and academic flow have a significant effect on math anxiety. Thus, social support and academic flow can be used as strong predictors of math anxiety.

Abstract

Abstrak: Hakikatnya Belajar matematika tidak semata hanya menghitung dan menghafal rumus, tetapi tentang bagaimana memahami konsep yang ada. Dalam menyelesaiakan masalah matematika kita dituntut untuk menghubungkan konsep-konsep matematika sehingga penyelesaian bisa diperoleh, hubungan konsep-konsep matematika inilah yang biasa disebut koneksi matematika. Apabila koneksi matematika siswa baik, maka dia dapat menghubungkan ide-ide matematika dari konsep-konsep matematika maupun dari disiplin ilmu lain dan menghubungkan antar konsep-konsep yang sudah diketahui sebelumnya dengan konsep-konsep dari informasi yang baru didapat sehingga pemahaman yang didapat akan lebih sempurna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap bagaimana koneksi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah ditinjau dari kecenderungan gaya berpikir. Setelah proses pengambilan data dan analisis data, didapatkan hasil: Subjek Gaya berpikir Acak Abstrak cenderung mampu menampakkan semua indikator yang diuji. Subjek-subjek dengan gaya berpikir lain, seperti Sekuensial Konkret, Sekuensial Abstrak, dan Acak Konkret tidak demikian. Fakta menarik lainnya adalah subjek dengan gaya berpikir Sekuensial Abstrak dan Acak Konkret tidak mampu melakukan tahap memeriksa jawaban ketika menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Abstract: In essence, learning mathematics is not only about calculating and memorizing formulas, but about how to understand existing concepts. In solving mathematical problems we are required to connect mathematical concepts so that solutions can be obtained, the relationship of mathematical concepts is what we call a mathematical connection. If students have good mathematical connections, they can connect mathematical ideas from mathematical concepts as well as from other disciplines and connect previously known concepts with concepts from newly acquired information so that the understanding gained would be more perfect. The purpose of this research is to reveal the students' mathematical connection process in solving problems in terms of thinking style tendencies. After the data collection and data analysis process, the results obtained: subjects with Abstract Random thinking style tend to be able to go through all indicators in solving mathematical problems. Subjects with a Sequential Concrete thinking style tend not necessarily to be able to pass 1 indicator in solving mathematical problems. Subjects with an Abstract Sequential thinking style tend not necessarily to be able to pass 4 indicators and tend not to be able to go through 1 indicator in solving mathematical problems. Subjects with a Concrete Random thinking style tend not necessarily to be able to pass 5 indicators and tend not to be able to go through 1 indicator in solving math problems.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in the 21st century to face the development of all aspects of life. This study aims to analyze the discovery learning learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students on PAI and BP subjects at SDN Banyusokah 2 Sampang Regency. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which includes cycle I and cycle 2. The instruments used are observation sheets and critical thinking written tests. The results showed that there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills from cycle I to cycle with a percentage of 72% to 86%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan model blended learning berbasis ADDIE pada mata pelajaran fikih untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah R&D (Research and Development) dengan model blended learning berdasarkan ADDIE dan dibagi menjadi lima tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Pada tahap awal, peneliti melakukan studi literatur dan lapangan, mengembangkan desain dan rencana, serta mengembangkan melalui produksi model dan media pembelajaran, termasuk slideshow, flowchart, dan storyboard. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian terhadap siswa, dan terakhir dilakukan evaluasi, produk yang dihasilkan divalidasi oleh guru mata pelajaran sebagai ahli materi dan 3 ahli media dan presentasi untuk menilai kelayakan model pembelajaran dan laporan. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan model blended learningpembelajaran fikih dikembangkan dengan pengembangan ADDIE dengan teknik pengumpulan data studi kepustakaan dan lapangan, dilanjutkan dengan angket untuk analisis deskriptif oleh validator yang menunjukkan bahwa produk pengembangan sangat persentase kelayakan 90% dan ahli material dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan

Abstract

The application of educational technology is very relevant for the management of education and teaching and learning activities in particular. the use of interactive learning media can increase the effectiveness of learning, making it easier, fun, and interesting. The application of gamification to learning content is carried out to motivate students to increase their achievement of the content being studied. Islamic Religious Education in its implementation still shows various unpleasant problems. In increasing students' interest in learning, choosing the right learning model and using interesting learning media. One of the uses of technology in learning is using interactive quizzes in class using an interactive application, namely Quizizz. This article aims to review the use of Quizizz gamification on student learning motivation in Islamic religious education subjects. This study uses researchlibrary research. The results of the research in the form of gamification implementation using Quizizz require a creative and innovative approach in learning Islamic Religious Education. By involving students through fun and interactive learning, it is expected to increase learning motivation in understanding concepts. Using gamification using Quizizz can make learning more interesting, interactive and effective.

Abstract

This article reveals the urgency of educators to continue to pay attention to the right learning design to find out the presentation according to the needs and learning characteristics of each student. One of the appropriate alternative learning models for use by educators is Bahtsul Masa'il-based learning design. This model engages students to participate in learning activities and helps them learn how to utilize time, become more independent in learning, and learn to think critically. This model tends to demand that students actively conduct investigations in solving problems so that they learn to use their logic. In fact, in-depth exploration of building lifelong learning skills, independence in gaining knowledge, and creative ways to utilize existing resources. There are seven steps that must be taken to apply the learning of Bahtsul Masa'il in his practical life. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The source of the data was taken from field observations and interviews of several Asatidz at the Assalafi Al Fithrah Islamic boarding school in Surabaya and students who were activist of the yellow book at the Ulya and Wustho levels. The analysis uses triangulation analysis techniques. Furthermore, based on the research analysis "Deep Exploration Learning and Creative Solving; Bahtsul Masa'il-Based Learning Design Study", found that Bathsul Masa'il lessons will teach students to think deeply and creatively while using limitations.

Abstract

This research starts from an educational phenomenon that wants to develop learning skills by providing Pancasila lessons and the desire to know the planning, process, and evaluation of project activities to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in developing 21st-century skills such as creative, critical, communication and collaboration. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive character. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with the techniques taken, namely purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and then drawing conclusions. The key informant in this research was the PAI teacher, while other supporting data was obtained through additional informants, namely, the head of the curriculum, driving teachers, and students. The results of this research show that 21st-century learning is a bridge through learning projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students. In the concept of the Pancasila student profile, there is learning needed in the 21st Century learning era which is usually called 4C Creativity, Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration. By learning the Pancasila student profile project, students will gain insight into new skills for the world they will face in the future. The implication of this research is that teachers, especially teachers who teach Pancasila subjects or other terms, can further instill a sense of love for the country and Pancasila, which then has an effect on developing students' talents and skills in carrying out learning at school.

Abstract

Progress in science and technology can be enjoyed by mankind, but on the other hand it has a negative impact on education, especially in the current millennial era which is very closely related to morals. Students experience many changes in attitude, they are used to the flow of information and industrial technology 4.0. Attitudes that emerge include gadget addiction, cyber bullying, or even a decline in morals or morals. So that it is appropriate for Islamic religious teachers to think about the right efforts in dealing with changes in the behavior of students in this 4.0 era. This study aims to reveal and explain the challenges faced by Islamic Religious Education teachers in the formation of student morals in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. as well as the efforts made by the teacher in facing the challenges of moral formation. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using a library research approach. The results of this study are the challenges faced by PAI teachers in forming morals, namely a). The rapid development and progress of science and technology, b). Declining morals, manners, and behavior, c). Critical society, including crime, violence, unemployment d). Free trade rampant. Efforts made by teachers in facing challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 are a). Mastering the subject matter, science, information and technology that will be taught b). Reflects exemplary behavior and attitudes, c). Love and commitment to the profession, d). Mastering a variety of methods and strategies, e) Being open in the face of renewal and insight.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengupas seputar perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih. Adanya hal tersebut mendorong pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang juga berbasis berbantuan teknologi, akan tetapi dalam fenomena zaman modern ini masih terdapat beberapa guru yang belum memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran, sehingga proses pembelajaran kurang aktif dan menjadikan peserta didik merasa tidak bersemangat dalam belajar. Hingga dampaknya dapat memicu peserta didik menjadi bosan dan tidak antusias selama pembelajaran berlangsung Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan media video dalam pembelajaran PAI pada SMP Al Furqan Madrasatul Qur an kelas IX. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) penggunaan video sebagai media pembelajaran PAI dinilai bagus dan efisien. (2) Peserta didik lebih bisa fokus terhadap pembelajaran karena bisa melihat serta mendengarkan penjelasan dari video (3) Pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif dan menarik, dan materi lebih mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik. Manfaat penelitian ini tidak lah lain sebagai pembuka ghirah pendidik agar senantiasa dapat menyesuaikan pengajaran dengan berkembangan dan tuntutan kebutuhan zaman
