Abstract

This study aimed to describe and analyze the evaluation of the policy of decentralizing authority from the Regent to the Sub-District Head in Nunukan District regarding the evaluation of Village Budgetary Allocation (APB Desa) based on the Regulation of the Nunukan Regent No. 31 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Nunukan Regent Regulation No. 54 of 2012 regarding the Decentralization of Some Authorities of the Nunukan Regent to Sub-District Heads in Nunukan District. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection procedures included in-depth interviews, observations, document studies, and triangulation. The main informants were policy formulators and implementers, relevant government agencies (SKPD), and village governments as service recipients. The policy evaluation theory utilized six criteria: effectiveness, efficiency, sufficiency, equality, responsiveness, and accuracy. The analysis revealed that the criteria for evaluating the policy of decentralizing authority from the regent to the sub-district head regarding APB Desa evaluation had not been fully implemented optimally, especially in terms of effectiveness and responsiveness. Several issues identified in the implementation of APB Desa evaluation by sub-district heads in Nunukan District included the absence of SOPs for APB Desa evaluation services, the quality and quantity of human resources in the bureaucracy, and limited sub-district budgets. The researchers recommended policymakers to issue regulations in the form of regional head regulations governing the technical guidelines for APB Desa evaluation by sub-district heads and the necessity of drafting SOPs for APB Desa evaluation services by relevant agencies to ensure that sub-districts have the same standards in providing APB Desa evaluation services.

Abstract

Objective: One of the efforts in realizing quality human resources is the guarantee of health quality. One of the indicators used to measure the quality of health is infant mortality rate (IMR). LBW is one of the main causes of infant mortality, with 40% of all child deaths occurring during the neonatal period. Cumulatively, about 15.5% of all deliveries are LBW and 95.6% occur in developing countries. (Sari 2021). Anemia that occurs during pregnancy is one of the major problems that occur. The impact caused by anemia in pregnant women is a variety of complications for the mother, in the form of pregnancy disorders, especially in the fetus such as Low Birth Weight Infants (LBW), impaired growth of the baby's organs and brain, and malnutrition or malformations in the baby who is born. (Audrey and Candra 2016) Methods: The research method used is observational research. The research design is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional study approach. Results: The sampling technique in this study used Non Probability Sampling, namely Purposive Sampling. The number of samples was 47 babies with LBW during 2021.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) in the working area of UPT Puskesmas Lawawoi, Sidrap Regency, obtained a p value = 0.001 ˂ 0.05 (α).

Abstract

Pesatnya pertumbuhan transportasi di suatu wilayah berdampak pada tingginya pergerakan yang secara negatif menimbulkan problematika lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat keselamatan lalu lintas dengan terlebih dahulu mengidentifikasi karakteristik kecelakaan lalu lintas di Kota Makassar. Data jumlah kecelakaan lalu lintas dikumpulkan berdasarkan faktor keberlanjutan transportasi pada indikator sosial dari segi keselamatan jalan raya di Kota Makassar mulai tahun 2014 sampai 2017. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara survei pada aparat kepolisian dimana data-data diambil langsung pada Polrestabes Makassar untuk mengetahui tingkat kecelakaan pada empat tahun belakangan demi mengetahui seberapa tidak terpenuhinya tingkat keselamatan lalu lintas di Kota Makassar untuk keberlanjutan transportasi jalan raya. Berdasarkan tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas yang ada di Makassar pada tahun 2014, 2015, 2016 dan 2017 terdapat (16,9%, 17,6%, 19,9% dan 22,7%) angka kecelakaan dari jumlah kendaraan yang ada di Kota Makassar. Berdasarkan tingkat fatalitas jumlah kematian yang ada pada tahun 2014¸ 2015, 2016 dan 2017 akibat kecelakaan lalu lintas yaitu (10,5%, 10,7%, 18,1% dan 19,4%) dari total korban kecelakaan di Kota Makassar. Kedua indikator tersebut menunjukan tren meningkat, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa indikator keselamatan lalu lintas dalam transportasi berkelanjutan di Kota Makassar belum terpenuhi dalam batas-batas evaluasi keselamatan lalu lintas yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pertanggungjawaban pidana bagi buzzer yang melakukan penyebaran berita bohong dan fitnah melalui media sosial pada pemilu serentak 2024, yang membuat banyak pihak terkena sasaran berita bohong sehingga menimbulkan perpecahan pada masyarakat yang mempunyai pandangan politik berbeda dalam memilih pemimpin pada penyelenggaraan pemilu. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Doktrinal. Pendekatan Doktrinal adalah pendekatan yang berbasiskan pada suatu peraturan atau perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Pendekatan doktrinal mengandung karakter normatif oleh karena memiliki sasaran penelitian berupa sekumpulan norma/black letter law. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian ini ialah buzzer menjadi agen berpengaruh di media sosial yang memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk opini publik, terutama dalam konteks politik. Buzzer dapat dibedakan menjadi dua kategori: sukarela yang didorong oleh kesamaan ideologi, dan profesional yang bekerja atas dasar kompensasi. Kesimpulan: Tulisan ini mengkaji bagaimana buzzer dapat mempengaruhi opini publik terhadap memilih pemimpin serta berbagai macam jenis buzzer dalam melakukan kejahatannya untuk menyebarkan berita bohong di media sosial serta ancaman hukuman yang dapat diberikan terhadap kejahatan penyebaran berita bohong dan fitnah di media sosial pada pemilu serentak 2024.

Abstract

Low student engagement and suboptimal academic achievement remain persistent challenges in secondary education. In response, this study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Practice Rehearsal Pairs (PRP) method in simultaneously enhancing student engagement and academic performance in a physics learning context. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group, the study involved 72 tenth-grade students from State Senior High School 5 Tanjung Balai, divided equally into experimental and control classes. Data on student engagement were collected through structured observation using a five-category engagement rubric, while academic achievement was assessed through pretest and posttest scores. The analysis employed descriptive statistics, paired sample t-tests, normalized gain (N-Gain), and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) to determine both separate and simultaneous effects of the intervention. Findings revealed that the PRP method significantly improved student engagement, with the experimental group shifting from predominantly "very less active" to 94.45% categorized as "active" or "very active." Academic performance also increased markedly, with a mean posttest gain of 17.92 points and an N-Gain score of 0.5463, categorized as medium and quite effective. MANOVA results indicated a statistically significant simultaneous effect on both engagement and achievement (Wilks’ Lambda = 0.057, p < 0.001). These results suggest that PRP is an effective pedagogical strategy for fostering meaningful participation and cognitive gains in science education.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of experiential learning–based group counselling, embedded with Ca’oca’an, in enhancing Madurese students’ emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence follows Goleman’s five dimensions: self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills. An experimental equivalent time-series design was used with 12 students at Madrasah Aliyah Mabdaul Falah Pamekasan. The intervention comprised two cycles of group counseling that integrated Ca’oca’an proverbs into the four stages of experiential learning. Emotional intelligence was measured with a Likert-type scale at pretest, posttest 1, and posttest 2. Wilcoxon signed-rank tests and normalized gain scores showed significant improvements at each measurement point, with an overall N-gain of 0.87 (high). The largest gains were in self-awareness and self-regulation, supported by qualitative reflections showing better emotional awareness, self-control, empathy, and interpersonal behavior. These findings indicate that experiential-learning–based group counseling grounded in local wisdom is effective and culturally responsive for strengthening students’ emotional intelligence.
