Abstract

The teaching module is one of the supporting factors for success in the learning process. A good teaching module must follow the demands of the curriculum and be based on the needs and real-life situations experienced by students. This research aims to develop a valid learning module with environmental change material on plastic waste. The method used in this research adapts the ADDIE method. The instruments used in this research were (1) a validation sheet given to biology lecturers, religion lecturers, and a lay outer, and (2) teacher and student response sheets. The validation sheet and the teacher and student questionnaires provided quantitative data that was collected. The parameter used to test the validity of the teaching module is Aiken's V. The result of Aiken's V score for the teaching module is 0.67 (valid), with the average score of student and teacher responses being 87 (very good). The conclusion of this study shows that the teaching module is valid, with righteous responses from teachers and students, indicating that this teaching module can support biology learning.

Abstract

Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya komunikasi efektif dan kesadaran etis di kalangan mahasiswa dalam konteks lingkungan kampus yang semakin terhubung secara digital. Di era modern yang dipenuhi teknologi dan media sosial, mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan seperti konflik komunikasi online, penyebaran informasi palsu, dan cyberbullying. Melalui metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak rendahnya efektivitas komunikasi terhadap interaksi antar mahasiswa serta kontribusinya terhadap lingkungan akademik dan sosial di perguruan tinggi Tasikmalaya. Hasil wawancara dengan mahasiswa, dosen, dan tenaga administrasi mengungkapkan berbagai tantangan dalam komunikasi dan penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian juga membahas strategi pengembangan etika komunikasi melalui mata kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila dan proyek pembelajaran, serta pentingnya nilai-nilai etika dalam pembelajaran komunikasi di lingkungan kampus. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran akan komunikasi yang efektif dan beretika untuk membangun lingkungan kampus inklusif, beretika, dan responsif terhadap dinamika sosial modern.

Abstract

Desa Pameutingan memiliki potensi wisata alam, kuliner, dan budaya yang melimpah, namun belum mampu dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk mendukung perekonomian masyarakat. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan manajemen pariwisata kepada masyarakat setempat guna mengembangkan potensi desa menjadi destinasi wisata unggulan. Metodologi yang digunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan mencakup analisis SWOT, seminar, dan pelatihan langsung untuk membentuk kelompok sadar wisata (Pokdarwis) serta menyusun strategi pengelolaan wisata. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setiap potensi, seperti Goa Pongpet dan Cadas Ngampar, memiliki keunggulan yang dapat dioptimalkan melalui promosi digital, peningkatan infrastruktur, dan pelatihan SDM. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini mampu memberikan panduan praktis dan strategi berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat dalam mengelola potensi wisata desa secara mandiri.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perception of Biology teachers towards Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning in the context of education. AR-based learning offers an interactive and immersive learning experience, which can improve understanding of difficult concepts as well as enrich students' experience in the learning process. However, the adoption of this technology in the classroom requires good readiness and understanding from the teacher. This study uses a qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with 16 Biology teachers. The data analysis used used was the thematic analysis method. The results of the study show that most teachers consider AR as a very potential tool to increase student motivation and engagement. Teachers also report that AR allows for the visualization of abstract concepts in a more tangible and engaging way. There are several obstacles such as limited infrastructure, lack of training, and difficulties in integrating AR into the curriculum. This research provides important insights for the development of technology education and training policies for teachers in order to support the implementation of AR-based learning more broadly. Abstract

Biological specimen preservation techniques have an important role in supporting educational, research and conservation activities. However, conventional methods using harmful chemicals like formalin pose risks to health and the environment. This community service activity aimed to introduce environmentally friendly wet preservation techniques for marine invertebrates and algae as safer alternatives. The program consisted of three sessions: theoretical training, practical demonstrations, and fieldwork in coastal areas. A total of 47 biology education students (class of 2023) participated, successfully collecting and preserving 15 specimens using eco-friendly materials such as 70% ethanol and glycerin. Evaluation showed the preserved specimens maintained good quality and were suitable as biology learning media. Additionally, the activity increased participants’ awareness of marine biodiversity conservation and provided tangible support for sustainable, eco-conscious biology education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran sub-materi genetik ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA yang telah mendapatkan materi genetika dalam mata pelajaran biologi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 65 siswa dari dua kelas XII MIPA. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu dengan memilih 23 siswa yang mewakili berbagai kategori minat belajar kemudian dipilih 3 orang yang mewakili setiap minat belajar untuk dilakukan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori minat belajar rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dasar genetik seperti struktur DNA dan hukum pewarisan sifat, terlihat dari jawaban yang keliru dalam menjelaskan istilah dan mekanisme genetik. Siswa kategori sedang mengalami kesulitan dalam menghubungkan konsep satu dengan yang lain, serta kurang tepat dalam menginterpretasikan diagram persilangan genetik. Adapun siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi mengalami kesulitan dalam penggunaan simbol genetik dan istilah ilmiah pada soal analisis, meskipun secara umum dapat menjawab dengan benar. Kata Kunci: genetika, kesulitan belajar, minat belajar
