Abstract

The increasing volume of plastic waste, particularly plastic bottles, is a significant environmental problem in many countries, including Indonesia. Lack of public awareness in recycling and inefficient waste management exacerbate this condition. Based on data from the Ministry of Environment in 2021-2023, the national waste composition is dominated by food waste with an average of 39% and plastic waste of 18% and the rest of the waste from metal, glass and tree branches. The existing waste management system is often ineffective in encouraging people to actively participate in recycling. One way to increase public participation in recycling is by incentivizing points that can be exchanged for prizes or discounts. However, the implementation of this system often faces technical and logistical obstacles, such as accurate and efficient identification and classification of bottles, so it is necessary to apply the integration of image processing and machine learning in the process of identifying and classifying bottle waste. From the modeling results, the machine learning model successfully identifies the type of bottle waste with an average accuracy 57,5 %.

Abstract

Rumbai Buki Health Center Health Cadres are spread across each posyandu work area. The cadres accommodate toddler and elderly posyandu. One very basic problem in the elderly is health, so efforts are needed to improve the health conditions of the elderly group. The existing posyandu cadres have an average education below high school. There are partner problems, namely the lack of ability to provide health services, such as poor communication skills, lack of knowledge about elderly health, lack of knowledge in screening the elderly Health Card, and lack of innovative activities from cadres. In addition, supporting equipment such as height meters, body weights, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, and measuring devices for blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels are still very minimal. Problems in the field of information technology also exist, where recording of elderly health administration data is still done manually. The purpose of this PKM activity is to overcome problems in elderly posyandu cadre partners in Rumbai Bukit village, namely efforts to improve the health of the elderly through training and counselling to elderly cadres, counselling to the elderly, procurement of health support equipment, and designing information systems for computerized administrative management. The results of the service carried out showed that the elderly data totalled 52 people, consisting of 4 men and 48 women.

Abstract

Data-based village development is a strategic approach to improving community welfare through more targeted planning. One of the key instruments in measuring village progress in Indonesia is the Village Development Index (Indeks Desa Membangun or IDM), which includes social, economic, and ecological dimensions. However, analytical utilization of IDM data remains low, especially in villages with limited resources and data literacy. This community service activity was conducted in Koto Masjid Village, Kampar Regency, with the aim of enhancing the capacity of village officials and youth organization (Karang Taruna) members to understand and process IDM data using classification methods in data mining. The implementation methods included theoretical training, hands-on workshops on classification algorithms (Decision Tree and Naive Bayes), data analysis simulations, and evaluation and mentoring sessions. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding from an average of 45% to 82% based on pre-test and post-test scores. In addition, the classification model developed by the participants achieved an accuracy rate of 87% in predicting village status. Final evaluations indicated that 95% of participants found the activity highly beneficial and expressed interest in learning more advanced data mining techniques. This activity not only transferred technical skills but also promoted a data-driven decision-making mindset at the village level. The implementation of classification methods based on IDM has proven to be an effective strategy in supporting the transformation towards independent and sustainable Smart Villages.

Abstract

Health centers are government agencies in public health development services. It is difficult to find the highest disease in several health centers in the city of Pekanbaru. Many health centers still use manual records and systems that are not well integrated. This application is designed to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the highest disease in the region. With this application, it can make it easier for people to get information quickly and up to date. The search for the highest disease is integrated with technology, making it easier for people to access this service. Methods Community service activities by socializing the use of the highest disease application to community groups in Pekanbaru City. The results of this counseling are to provide information to the community and how to use the application inputted by the puskesmas on the website about the highest disease in the working area of the Pekanbaru City Health Office.

Abstract

Desa merupakan kesatuan masyarakat hukum yang memiliki batas wilayah yang berwenang untuk mengatur dan mengurus urusan pemerintahan, kepentingan masyarakat setempat berdasarkan prakarsa masyarakat, hak asal usul, dan/atau hak tradisional yang diakui dan dihormati dalam sistem pemerintahan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Sumatera Barat merupakan salah satu Provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki 19 Kabupaten/ Kota. Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa pada tahun 2023 masih banyak Kabupaten/Kota dengan status desanya tertinggal. Dari tahun 2018 sampai dengan Tahun 2023 beberapa desa di Sumatera Barat telah berhasil meningkatkan status desa tertinggal menjadi desa berkembang dan maju. Peningkatan pada Indeks Desa Membangun ini merupakan hasil dari program pemerintah yang fokus pada pembangunan infrastruktur dan peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat desa. Tujuan untuk mengklasifikasi status desa berdasarkan indeks desa membangun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode data mining. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Algoritma C.45. Data penelitian diambil dari Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa. Adapun hasil akurasi menggunakan algoritma C.45 sebesar 69,96%. Adapun jumlah rule yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 1 rule. Hasil analisa ini bisa menjadi pedoman untuk Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa dalam mempertimbangkan untuk melaksanakan pengembangan desa.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that has two seasons, namely summer and rainy season. The weather in Indonesia is currently erratic, it is influenced by changes in extreme weather in the world. These extreme weather changes cause the public to be aware of disasters that can occur at any time. This change in weather triggers a prolonged rainy season or vice versa. During the legal season in Indonesia, many areas are affected by floods. Throughout 2021 BNPB recorded 1,298 flood disasters. When a flood disaster occurs, protection of houses is rarely carried out, this is due to the absence of early warning to the public, so that the occurrence of floods cannot be anticipated. Therefore, it is necessary to have an early warning system for flooding so that people can anticipate the situation. This flood warning system will work automatically periodically to find out the water level in the environment around the house. In this prototype the flood level monitoring system utilizes a water level sensor based on the nodemcu 8266 micro controller and a WhatsApp message as a notification to homeowners when the water level is at certain levels can anticipate flooding.
