Abstract

Kerupuk getas and kemplang are snacks from Bangka Island made from a mixture of mackerel and corn starch. The snacks are produced by snack food home industry. The production center located in Belinyu and Pangkalpinang City. The main problem of industry is lack of knowledge about the packaging technology and sales strategy. The product packaging is an important part of a sales strategy. In this report, the authors proved statistically that the product packaging can increase revenue. The packaging system by using vacuum packaging machine. Furthermore, sales strategy be developed into an online system.The results show that sales of products with packaging boxes significantly affect gross income partners. Correlation test showed that the value of pearson product moment (r) is 0.862. The value of the Pearson product moment means that there is a very close relationship between the product packaging boxes with gross revenue and P-value is 0.05 so it was concluded that the relationship is significant. Abstract

Abstrak Zirconia (ZrO2) merupakan material keramik yang banyak digunakan di industri. Pasir zirkon (ZrSiO4) merupakan salah satu sumber zirkonia. Produksi zirkonia dari pasir zirkon dapat dilakukan dengan proses perlakuan panas atau perlakuan kimia dengan tujuan memecah ikatan antara ZrO2 dan SiO2. Pada penelitian ini Response Surface Methodology (RSM) diaplikasikan untuk menentukan nilai optimal persentase ZrO2 dari proses dekomposisi pasir zirkon melalui proses perlakuan panas. Sampel yang disiapkan sebanyak 13 variasi dengan 3 replikasi. Analisis hasil percobaan didapatkan Eigen value dengan nilai –0,146262 (X1) dan 0,172908 (X2). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi temperatur dan waktu penahanan tidak teridentifikasi optimum pada satu titik saja namun tersebar di seluruh daerah saddle point.

Abstract

The education law is one of the legal rules from the government that must be carried out by educational institutions both at low to high levels, to implement the law, one of which is about community service, to support the tri dharma of higher education where the Bang Kabelitung State Police is one of the Polytechnics located in Bang Kabelitung Province, precisely in Bangka Induk Regency, especially in the Airkantung industrial area where the existing infrastructure facilities on campus support the tri dharma process. In carrying out the mandate of Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning National Education, namely teaching, research, and community service, besides that, there are also problems that often arise where the means to support material on electronic circuits at SMK Muhammadiyah Sungailiat Bangka are not adequate, so this training is needed. With this proposal, it is hoped that from the three points it is deemed necessary to provide a prograthatch aims to increase understanding of the basics of electrical circuits in parallel and series connections to understand this it is necessary to have a program to improve skills for students who in SMK, to run this program, students will be educated or taught techniques or procedures for installation, assembly, and counting both in series and parallel in kepuluan Bangka Belitung. This program, it will be implemented at SMK Muhammadiyah Sungailiat with the address Jalan Prakmuka Parit Padang Sungailiat, Bangka Induk Regency.

Abstract

In line with the increasing market demand, some cassava is cultivated in Indonesia. As a food ingredient, cassava has advantages compared to other food ingredients. One of the growing home industries that produces snacks in the form of cassava-based opaque. The survey was conducted at PKM for the manufacture of sweet potato opaque with cassava-based ingredients produced by the home industry "Opak AS" which is located at Jalan Bukit Ubi, Air Kenanga Environment in Sungailiat District, with the ability to process 20 kg of opaque for 5 hours manually. Using hands, so the results are less efficient and not optimal because it requires a lot of effort and time. In addition, innovation is needed to increase production capabilities. Therefore, a suitable technical machine is needed which is capable of printing opaque with the same diameter and thicknessFrom this problem, to achieve this goal as a servant of the Educational Institution will provide a solution by providing an appropriate technology machine to print opaque with a diameter of 60mm and a thickness of 2mm with a production capacity of 30kg/hour. Thus, it can help the process of production, marketing and machine maintenance independently. After that, evaluation and monitoring is carried out to partners so that the level of success of the partner's production process problems can be measured. The output target resulting from this community service is media publications, cassava opak printing machines can increase the output time of cassava opak production by more than 100%. From the test results it can print 30 kilograms of opaque dough in 1 hour. After using the printing machine the uniformity of the shape and thickness of the opaque is getting better by 94%.

Abstract

During the workpiece turning process, several factors affect the final workpiece, such as the cutting angle and cutting speed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in cutting angle and cutting speed on the material consumption rate of SCM 440. The method used in this study is the Response Surface Methodology (RSM), with a two-parameter design, each of which has three levels for each parameter variation. . The results of data analysis obtained eigen values ​​with different signs (positive and negative) which indicated that the stationary point values ​​were in the form of saddle points with a stationary point values of x1 (cutting angle) of -1.686 and x2 (Vc) of 0.199. From the uncoded process, the optimal value for the MRR factor is obtained, namely the cut angle of 10.64° and Vc of 15.28 m/min. The optimum feed rate for SCM 440 material is obtained at an optimal value of neither minimum nor maximum or a saddle point shape at a cutting angle cut of 10.64° and Vc of 15.28 m/min with an MRR area of ​​300-400 mm3/minute.

Abstract

Optimal surface roughness results are the desired goal in the machining process on a CNC machine, the appropriate machining process variables must be adjusted in order to obtain an optimal workpiece surface roughness response. The research that has been carried out aims to determine the effect of variables on the surface roughness of the St 40 steel machining process in CNC machining and the optimal setting of the CNC machining process variable on the response value of the St 40 steel surface roughness. The machining process variables that are varied are cutting speed and depth of infeed. The optimization method used is the Response Surface Method. The experimental design was determined based on a 2-factor CCD. Experiments were carried out according to the experimental design of variable cutting speed with levels of 200 m/minute, 230 m/minute, and 260 m/minute and variable depth of ingestion with levels of 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, and 1 mm to determine the optimal variable level. on the surface roughness of St 40 steel. The results showed that the influence of the variable cutting speed and depth of infeed did not significantly affect the surface roughness of St 40 steel and at the variable level optimization setting the minimum optimal value was obtained, namely at the cutting speed at 19.92 m/ minute and the depth of ingestion is at 5.58 mm and the resulting surface roughness value is smaller than 1,00 µm.

Abstract

The factor that must be considered in the machining process is the level of surface roughness of the material being processed. Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines help in producing large quantities of products without resetting the computer program. The process variables used in this study were feed speed with variations in levels of 140 mm/minute and 180 mm/minute, depth of ingestion with variations in levels of 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm, and feeding motion with variations in levels of 0.25 mm/put and 0.5mm/put. The analysis was carried out using the taguchi calculation method. The results of research data analysis that has been carried out on the surface roughness value of AISI 1040 steel can be determined that setting the variable settings in the CNC lathe machining process to produce the lowest surface roughness value on AISI 1040 steel material can be obtained by a combination of speed variables feed 180 m/minute (level 2), depth of feed 0.7 mm (level 2) and feed 0.25 mm/put (level 1) with a contribution value of . Where the contribution of feed motion makes the greatest contribution to the surface roughness response when compared to other factors, namely 31.3764%. The second contribution that influences the response to surface roughness is feed speed, which is 16.8977%. depth of ingestion is 5.1126%.

Abstract

Welding is a very important process in the industrial world and is not left behind in today's developments. Friction welding techniques that rely on heat by friction of two materials, besides this friction welding without the use of filler metal or electrodes and the processing time is not long, this friction welding is very good for solid objects such as shafts. At this time, a test will be carried out on the effect of variations in rotational speed and friction time on the impact strength of joints in AISI 4340 steel. This study will use lathes with variations in rotational speed parameters of 720, 1000 and 1400 rpm with times of 50, 70 and 90 seconds. The material used is AISI 4340 steel in the form of a solid cylinder and impact strength testing will be carried out using the charpy method. From the research conducted, the highest average results were obtained, namely at 1400 Rpm and with a time of 90 seconds with an impact energy value of 31.93 J and an average impact price of 0.398 J/mm2. While the lowest average value is at 720 rpm variation and with a time of 50 seconds with an impact energy value of 6.43 J and an average impact price of 0.079 J/mm2. So variations in the parameters of rotational speed and friction time greatly affect the strength of the material to be impact tested.

Abstract

Utilization of fly ash (fly ash) as an additive in the formation of lightweight bricks has a positive impact from an environmental point of view. Fly ash is a very fine residue from burning coal. The fineness of fly ash grains can potentially cause air pollution. Handling of fly ash (fly ash) at this time is still limited to stockpiling on vacant land. The addition of fly ash to the lightweight brick mixture can be a good mineral additive for lightweight bricks because the fly ash contains silica, which is binding. In this study, we will identify the benefits of fly ash (fly ash) as a partial replacement material for the use of cement in lightweight bricks. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding fly ash as a partial replacement for cement on the density and compressive strength of lightweight bricks. Variations in the percentage of fly ash used are 15%, 25%, and 35%. This study used six beam-shaped test samples, with each sample being replicated three times with a mold size of 100 mm x 50 mm x 50 mm. From this study, it was found that the best density value was when using 25% fly ash, which was 1482.4 kg/m3 with the highest compressive strength value of 17.7 MPa. It can be concluded that the percentage of fly ash used affects the density of lightweight bricks. The use of 25% fly ash on lightweight bricks produces lightweight bricks with maximum compressive strength.

Abstract

Welding is one of the means to achieve better economic production and has a role in the construction and metal fields. Friction welding is one of several types of welding methods. The parameters that affect the strength of the joints in friction welding are rotational speed, pressing distance and friction time. Therefore, to produce connection strength in a production, appropriate parameters are needed. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in rotational speed and pressing distance on impact strength in AISI 4140 and AISI 4340 steel joints. mm. In this study, the results obtained were that the higher the rpm rotation and the greater the pressure distance given, the melting area in the welding joint area is wide and evenly distributed which makes the weld joint strong. This is proven, using a rotational speed of 1400 rpm and a pressing distance of 4 mm has the highest impact energy yield value of 138.349 Joules and the highest impact price yield value of 1.7293 Joules/mm2 . Meanwhile, the lowest value of the impact energy yield is 14.266 Joules and the lowest value of the impact price is 0.1783 Joules/mm2 using a rotational speed of 720 rpm and a pressing distance of 2 mm.
