Abstract

Metode flipped classroom saat ini menjadi salah satu pendekatan inovatif dalam pendidikan tinggi yang memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar. Dalam konteks Pendidikan Bahasa Arab, metode ini menawarkan cara pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mandiri, di mana siswa mempelajari materi secara daring sebelum menghadiri kelas tatap muka untuk diskusi dan aplikasi praktis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode flipped classroom terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa arab siswa melalui pendekatan meta-analisis. Sebanyak 14 artikel yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2016 hingga 2024 dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) versi 3. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ukuran efek gabungan (g) sebesar  0.97 (kategori besar). Nilai ini mengindikasikan bahwa metode flipped classroom memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan dan lebih baik dibandingkan metode konvensional terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa arab siswa. ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pendidik dan pengembang kurikulum dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan berpusat pada siswa. Meskipun demikian, studi meta-analisis ini hanya mengukur efek secara keseluruhan tanpa mempertimbangkan analisis variabel moderator. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat menganalisis variabel moderator untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas flipped classroom dalam pembelajaran bahasa arab.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komprehensif pengaruh motivasi terhadap prestasi bahasa Arab melalui pendekatan meta-analisis. Metode yang digunakan adalah meta-analisis terhadap 20 studi primer menggunakan model estimasi random-effect karena hasil analisis menunjukkan heterogenitas dalam ukuran efek (Q = 356.24, p < 0.05). Berdasarkan model ini, diperoleh effect size gabungan sebesar r = 0.567 (p < 0.05), yang menunjukkan bahwa motivasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi bahasa Arab siswa dengan kategori efek besar. Hasil analisis variabel moderator menunjukkan hubungan motivasi terhadap prestasi bahasa Arab berbeda secara signifikan berdasarkan variabel ukuran sampel (Qb = 48.03; p = 0.00). Namun tidak berbeda nyata berdasarkan variabel tingkat pendidikan (Qb = 1.63; p = 0.65), tipe publikasi (Qb = 2.29; p = 0.32), dan tahun publikasi (Qb = 0.13; p = 0.71). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan motivasi siswa dapat berkontribusi pada pencapaian bahasa Arab yang lebih baik, meskipun dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut dirokmendasikan untuk memeriksa faktor moderator lain yang dapat memperkuat atau melemahkan hubungan antara motivasi dan prestasi bahasa Arab, seperti kecerdasan, minat dalam pembelajaran, lingkungan belajar, dan pendekatan pengajaran yang digunakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the effectiveness of educational games in improving students' Arabic mufrodat skills. The method used was a meta-analysis of 13 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria, with data analysis using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software and a random effects approach. The results indicate a combined effect size of g = 1.375 (p < 0.01), indicating a very large effect of educational games compared to traditional learning models. Moderator variable analysis shows that the impact of educational games does not differ significantly based on sample size, educational level, publication year, or type of game. Therefore, educational games have proven to be highly effective in improving students' Arabic vocabulary skills. Further research is recommended to investigate variations in game types and broader application contexts to strengthen the generalizability of these results.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya bahan ajar maharah al-qira ah yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku bahan ajar maharah al-qira ah dan menguji kelayakannya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model Borg & Gall, yang meliputi: studi pendahuluan, desain produk dan revisi berdasarkan masukan ahli, uji coba kelas kecil dan revisi, uji coba kelas besar dan revisi, serta produk akhir. Hasilnya adalah buku bahan ajar berjudul  qira ah yang mencakup sampul, kata pengantar, petunjuk penggunaan, silabus, daftar isi, materi pokok, dan daftar pustaka. Pendekatan yang digunakan berbasis nilai religius seperti shidiq, amanah, ikhlas, dan lainnya. Validasi ahli menunjukkan kategori baik untuk tampilan, penyajian, dan materi, serta kesesuaian nilai religius. Uji coba pada kelas kecil dan besar juga menunjukkan hasil baik pada komponen desain dan isi. Dengan demikian, buku bahan ajar ini dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran maharah al-qira ah.

Abstract

The main problem studied is students' low ability to understand and use Arabic, both actively and passively, which impacts their limited access to Islamic literature. The purpose of this study is to identify the types of difficulties in learning Arabic and analyze the causal factors, both internal (motivation, educational background, perception) and external (lecturer teaching methods and academic environment). This study employed a qualitative descriptive method, employing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis with students and lecturers in Arabic courses. The results indicate that the main difficulties faced by students lie in the application of grammar and grammatical rules, as well as poor speaking (kalam) and listening (istima') skills. This is caused by the dominance of the grammar-translation method and the limited language environment (bi'ah lughawiyyah). This study recommends changing the teaching approach to a communicative method and creating a conducive language environment on campus.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the thematic Snakes and Ladders game حديقة الحيوانات in improving the Arabic vocabulary mastery of fifth-grade students at MIN 1 Gowa. Arabic vocabulary mastery is an important foundation for communication skills and understanding Islamic teachings. However, low vocabulary mastery among students poses a challenge in learning. To address this issue, an educational game that has been proven to increase student motivation and engagement was implemented. Through this study, the Snakes and Ladders game was formulated with a zoo theme relevant to the students' world. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design. The results showed a significant increase in vocabulary mastery, with the average student score rising from 59 on the pre-test to 82 on the post-test, and all students successfully achieving the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). These findings confirm that the Thematic Snakes and Ladders game حديقة الحيوانات is effective in creating an interactive and meaningful learning experience for students, while also overcoming gaps in vocabulary mastery. Abstract

Character education is a priority in the Indonesian education system and can be integrated into Arabic language learning, including in non-formal education. Arabic language teaching materials based on character education have the potential not only to improve language skills but also to instill positive character values in students. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of character education-based Arabic language teaching materials implemented at the Majelis Taklim Al Mubarok Tamalanrea Indah Makassar. This study used a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques supported by quantitative data from pre- and post-tests. Data collection was conducted through documentation, observation, interviews, and tahsin and translation ability tests involving 14 participants. The results showed a significant increase in tahsin ability, from an average of 69.57 to 85.50 (a 22.9% increase), and translation ability, from 73.43 to 87.92 (a 19.7% increase). The main difficulties faced by participants included pronouncing the letter Ra (100%), the word Allah (92.9%), and the letter Dod (85.7%). These findings indicate that Arabic language teaching materials integrated with character education are effective in improving students' cognitive and affective aspects in the context of learning in the majelis taklim (Islamic study groups).

Abstract

South Sulawesi, particularly Makassar, is a priority tourist destination with significant potential to attract international tourists from the Middle East (halal tourism). However, the availability of competent Arabic language tour guides is still limited. Students of the Arabic Language Education (PBA) Study Program at Makassar State University (UNM) possess basic linguistic potential, but face challenges in practicing their speaking skills (maharah kalam) in a tourism context due to the lack of specific teaching materials (Arabic for Specific Purposes). This community service program aims to empower students through: (1) Providing practical teaching media in the form of a Pocket Book on Tourism Arabic (Al-Arabiyyah Al-Siyahah), and (2) Improving maharah kalam competency through intensive training using role-playing methods and field practice. The implementation method uses a Participatory Action Learning (PAL) approach, which includes needs analysis, preparation of the pocket book, training workshops, tour guide simulations, and evaluation. The target output of this activity is a Pocket Book product and an increase in students' speaking proficiency scores of at least 75% in the context of hospitality and guiding.
