Abstract

Anemia is a deficiency (deficiency) of red blood cells due to low hemoglobin levels. The lower the mother's hemoglobin level, the greater the risk of postpartum hemorrhage. Objective This study was to analyze the effect of anemia in pregnancy on the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage at the Guido Valadares National Hospital, Dili, Timor-Leste. Method The research used in this research is analytical observational in nature using two independent and dependent variables which require a population of all mothers giving birth, as many as 436 people and some mothers as a sample of 54 people. Instrument study used data from the laboratory, register book, from the Antenatal Book, observation sheets. The tools used are bent, underpad, softex.Analysis The collected data used was processed in a computer system using the SPSS for Windows version 16.0 program which includes univariate and bivariate analysis.Resultsthis research foundp=0,004 <0,05 So this means that there is an influence of anemia in pregnancy on the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in NASIONAL GUIDO VALADARES. Chi square Value= 0,004 Continuity Correction V=6,509. Conclusion This research shows the influence of anemia in pregnancy on postpartum hemorrhage in HNGV in 2020.

Abstract

One of the factors that affect women's readiness in facing menopause is maternal knowledge. The cause of the lack of maternal knowledge is education where each mother has a different last education. This study aims to analyze the effect of health education on knowledge about menopause in elderly posyandu participants in Blabak Village, Kediri Regency. The research design used by the researcher is a pre-experimental design with one-group pre-post test design research. The number of samples is 36 respondents with a population of 40 elderly people. with a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument uses a questionnaire. The independent variable is health education. The dependent variable is knowledge about menopause. The results of knowledge about menopause before health education were in the poor category of 27 respondents (75%). After health education about menopause, respondents experienced an increase in the category to good by 33 respondents (91.7%). The results of the study using the Wilcoxon Test with a value of α = 0.05 obtained a significant result of 0.000, because the significant value <0.05 which means that there is an effect of health education on knowledge about menopause in elderly posyandu participants in Blabak Village, Kediri Regency. In this study, knowledge after being given health education about menopause has increased. This proves that health education can be obtained, one of which is from listening and reading on health education videos. very influential on a person's knowledge because they get health education with material that is given repeatedly and discussions are held with respondents.

Abstract

This research is a type of descriptive research using a qualitative approach design using a case study research design. Funding for the TB program in Pasuruan Regency was sourced from the APBD and also Health Operational Assistance sourced from the Special Allocation Fund decreased. The budget for TB prevention prevention programs is absorbed entirely But the performance of achieving the discovery targets is still not significant. Still not found the whole case, complete treatment has not been maximized, some even DO. TB control activities allocated for TB prevention and control services appear to be relatively small compared to the TB treatment budget. Based on all the challenges faced, a strategy was formulated to eliminate TB within the next 5 years by strengthening the leadership of a quality TB service program with a sustainable program across stakeholders

Abstract

Caring is an art and science approach to caring for clients in the form of a dynamic approach between nurses and patients. The design of this study is descriptive correlational research that examines the influence between variables. The population in this study were patients who were given caring behavior and functional nurses with a simple random sampling method of 36 respondents. The independent variable is job satisfaction and nurse workload while the dependent variable is caring behavior with multiple linear regression statistical tests. The results of the study were nurses caring behavior in Lavalette Malang hospital majority (94 %) as many as 34 respondents were calssified as good. The results of multiple linear regression tests obtained p value: 0,015<α = 0,05. There is an influence of workload and nurse performance satisfaction on caring behavior. The most dominant factor based on the partial T-test analysis of variables is performance satisfaction

Abstract

Background: Dementia is a progressive cognitive disorder that impacts the quality of life of the elderly, causing decreased cognitive and social functions and increased dependency. Families play an important role in providing emotional, physical, social and economic support, but not all have sufficient understanding in caring for the elderly with dementia. Lack of family knowledge and skills in caring for the elderly with dementia can cause stress for caregivers and reduce the quality of life of the elderly themselves. The Alzi Surabaya Community acts as a forum for education and assistance for families to improve optimal care. This study aimed to analyze family support strategies in improving the quality of life of the elderly with dementia in the Alzi Surabaya community.Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Informants were selected through purposive sampling of seven families of caregivers of the elderly with dementia. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and documentation, analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. Data validity was tested by source triangulation.Results: The results of the study from seven respondents showed that family support plays a crucial role in improving the quality of life of the elderly with dementia. Emotional support in the form of good attention and communication improves the psychological well-being of the elderly. Physical support such as assistance in self-care and providing nutritious food, maintains the health of the elderly. Economic support ensures access to health services. In addition, family involvement in social activities also helps maintain the emotional stability of the elderly. Interaction with the Alzi Surabaya community helps families in communication strategies, managing behavioral changes and strengthening social support.Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the better the family support that has been given in caring for the elderly with dementia, the better their quality of life will be

Abstract

Malnutrition cases among children under five are still big challenge in Indonesia. It can be serious problems especially among children in between 6-24 months because it is the gold period of growth. Data from Health Ministry of Indonesia Republic shows that a prevalence of children under five with less and bad of nutrient status is still high although many interventions have been done. One of the reasons is the behavior and attitude of mothers in feeding their children such as eating frequency, food variety and quality of food that given to the children. The objective of this research is to know the impact of health education toward mothers’ attitude in feeding their children under five with malnutrition in Malang Regency. This research uses Pre-Experimental method by using one group pre test-post test design. Based on purpose sampling technique, it is got 71 mothers who have children under five with lack of nutrient as sampling. The independent variable is health education, and dependent variable is mothers’ attitude in feeding their children under five with malnutrition. Data collecting uses questionnaire, and data analysis is done by using paired sample t-test. It is shown p = 0.001<0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. It means that there is an impact of health education toward mothers’ attitude in feeding their children who suffer lack of nutrient. This research shows the significant impact of giving health education toward mothers’ attitude in feeding their children with malnutrition. Therefore, it is need to use variety of media in promoting health education as interesting as possible such as video to improve mothers’ knowledge and understanding so they can give much contribution in preventing malnutrition cases among children under five.

Abstract

Background: The use of social media can have a good as well as a bad influence. Its bad influence, there is empirical evidence to suggest that compulsive use of social media can have an effect on a person's self-concept, especially among adolescent smartphone users. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of social media addiction on the self-concept of adolescents in Kepanjen Kidul village. This study used a correlation analysis design with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study was adolescents in kepanjen kidul village who were indicated to have social media addiction of 34 people. Methods: The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling, while the instruments used were questionnaire sheets, and statistical tests using spearmans rank.  Results: The results of each variable were obtained by respondents who experienced a moderate level of social addiction as many as 16 respondents (47.1%) respondents who had a negative self-concept as many as 21 respondents (61.8%) The results of the spearmans rank  statistical test obtained a cophysific value of 0.486 and p-value  by 0.004 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an influence of social media addiction on the self-concept of adolescents in the village of kepajen kidul. Conclusion: It can be concluded that a strong relationship with a positive direction the higher the Addiction to Social Media has an impact on the higher the Negative Self-Concept experienced.

Abstract

Background: The problem of smoking is still a national problem that is continuously being addressed, because it involves various aspects of problems in life, namely economic, social, political aspects, especially health aspects. The death rate from smoking is still very high. Tobacco abuse is a preventable cause of death but there are still many people who are difficult to escape from the bondage of the dangers of smoking. Purpose: The City of Blitar has committed to implementing a tobacco control program through the Regional Regulation (perda) of the City of Blitar Number 1 of 2019 concerning Smoking Free Areas. The implementation of these local regulations requires data as a basis for developing strategies to achieve goals. Methods: This study uses a mix method approach (quantitative and qualitative). The approach is used to facilitate a variety of specific research objectives. Research on smoking behavior and attitudes of tobacco workers towards tobacco control uses a quantitative approach. While research on regional income from the cigarette industry and the condition of cigarette advertisements in public places uses a quantitative approach. Results: Teenage respondents 300 respondents were dominated by male gender, smoking status there were 221 respondents who stated that they were smokers. Most of the respondents' ages were in the range of 17-20 years and at the junior and senior high school levels. With the results of this study it can be concluded that the incidence of smoking in adolescents is still high with a percentage (70.3%) of smoking status which is dominated by men. Adult respondents note that all male respondents have a tendency to smoke. Most of the respondents were in the range of 19-23 years with the most education at the high school level. Conclusion: The type of cigarettes consumed by adolescents is white cigarettes, consuming at least less than 5 cigarettes and at most more than 15 cigarettes per day. Most of the costs spent by teenagers to shop for cigarettes range from IDR 50,000 to IDR 100,000 and above. Among the 189 smokers respondents, only 83 of them had the desire to quit smoking. It is known that most of the adult respondents at the age of 15 years were the age when they first smoked.
