Abstract

Abstract The research entitled Public Service Bureaucracy Performance (Case Study Of Public Information and Public Communications) has several problems, including the lack of maximum services provided by the communication and informatics department in terms of services to the community. Basically, research on the quality of public services is important to do, because the community as customer service has not been satisfied in terms of time, cost and quality of service that has been provided. For this reason, this research is aimed at improving the quality of public services, especially those carried out in the field of Public Relations, Information and Public Communication, South Sulawesi Province. To see the phenomenon above, the writer uses the Dwiyanto theory with five indicators, namely productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. In this study, the author uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results found are still rampant, sometimes admin operators are less responsive and sometimes operators do not understand that the report will be forwarded to the relevant agency. And the time of service is also not certain.

Abstract

Bioethanol derived from cassava has the potential as an alternative energy material because cassava plants contain starch, sugar or cellulose which can be used in the process of making alternative and environmentally friendly fuels. This study aims to make bioethanol from cassava starch. This research method starts from material preparation to the process stage consisting of the fermentation process, distillation process, and the final stage, namely testing ethanol content and adding fuel. 5 kg of cassava is used to produce 98 ml of bioethanol distillation with 16% rendition. The combustion test was carried out to obtain a comparison of the calorific value between the fuel mixture - Bioethanol and fuel -Alcohol, Mixing partalalite - Bioethanol 1: 19 (95% partalaite: 5% Bioethanol) and fuel - Alcohol 1: 19 (95% partalite: 5 % alcohol). The results of the research obtained the calorific value of combustion of the partalalite - alcohol mixture: 11,649.48 kcal/kg, while for the partalalite - bioethanol mixture: 11,486.15 kcal/kg. So that the higher the concentration of ethanol mixed in partalite, the higher the calorific value.

Abstract

World seaweed production in 2020 published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Indonesia was ranked second as the largest seaweed producer with production of 11.8 million tons. The aim of this research is: To analyze the characteristics of seaweed liquid waste at PT. XYZ. To design a seaweed liquid waste processing process at PT. XYZ based on physics-chemistry as recycled water. Methods include analysis and experiments. This method is used to analyze the characteristics of liquid waste and determine the design of the seaweed liquid waste processing process at PT. XYZ. Research results: The characteristics of the seaweed liquid waste produced do not meet the quality standards in Kep.08/Men. LH/2009 concerning Industrial Waste. A physic-chemical based liquid waste processing process with neutralization, filtering and aeration can be used as recycled water in the alkali treatment process.

Abstract

Biodegradable packaging materials from biomass have been proven to be effective and efficient in improving the quality of materials food because it has the advantages of long shelf life, biodegradable, safe for health and cheap easy to use. The aim of the research is to determine the best formulation and water vapor rate properties as well as the mechanical properties of edible film based on cassava peel starch with the addition of palm oil and chitosan. The method used to determine the best formulation of edible film by making cassava peel starch, mixing raw materials and printing edibles film. Next, the water vapor rate and mechanical properties tests were carried out which included tensile strength tests, elongation tests and biodegradation tests. Results What was obtained from this research was the optimum concentration, namely 5 gr of cassava starch, 2 ml glycerol, 2 grams chitosan and 1 ml Palm oil with edible film characteristics was obtained respectively for the water vapor transmission rate test of 15.37 gr/hour.m2, tensile strength test of 0.66 MPa, elongation test of 4.05%, thickness test of 0.17 mm, and biodegrability test for 2 Sunday.

Abstract

This research aims to find out an overview of the prototype solar power-based Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), the component requirements of the PLTS system as an energy source for the WWTP, and level of efficiency in using solar power plants in IPAL operations. The type of research used is experimental research. Based on the research results a prototype solar power-based IPAL system has been produced with a capacity of 800 liters per hour or 11,200 liters per day (14 operational hours) with a Biotech/biofilter type modified by adding a water filter after the chloronization process. Besides of that, a source of electrical energy for all electrical components of the WWTP with a solar panel and battery capacity of 200 wattpeak and 100 Ah respectively. The efficiency level of the solar panels used reached 88.36% at 12.00 (very sunny weather conditions) with input power above output power in the range 09.00-16.00. With this efficiency, electrical energy can be stored to operate the WWTP at night.
