Abstract

Tujuan utama yang dijawab dalam penelitian ini adalah : Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Bidang Konseling Pastoral Terhadap Perkembangan Kepribadian Siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. Jumlah sampel yang diambil dari populasi sebanyak 70 orang, penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif sedangkan analisa data dilakukan dalam pengujian hipotesa adalah korelasi product moment pearson, dengan alat pengumpulan data adalah angket untuk variabel X (Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Bidang Konseling Pastoral) dan variabel Y (Perkembangan Kepribadian Siswa). Untuk mengetahui sejauhmana Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Bidang Konseling Pastoral Terhadap Perkembangan Kepribadian Siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar, digunakan uji statistik kolerasi product-moment pearson. Dari hasil pengujian diperoleh r2 = 0,35, sedangkan untuk mengetahui signifikan tidaknya koefesien kolerasi pada taraf nyata 0,05 digunakan uji “t” dengan kriteria pengujian bila thit lebih besar dari ttab(2,12>1,66) maka hipotesa diterima. Jadi dapat dikemukakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang berarti antara Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam Bidang Konseling Pastoral Terhadap Perkembangan Kepribadian Siswa di SMA Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The relationship between Paul and Timothy in the New Testament is an important relationship for the development of early Christianity. Although Paul was unmarried, he often considered Timothy his spiritual son and sent him on missionary missions. Their first recorded meeting was in Lystra, and Timothy later followed Paul on his missionary journeys and received guidance from the apostle. Timothy had an important role in strengthening and guiding the early church after Paul. His success in continuing evangelism became fundamental in the history of Christianity. Paul's letters to Timothy, especially 1 and 2 Timothy, became an important part of the New Testament canon and provided guidance for Christians throughout the world. Paul's guidance to Timothy, both while in direct ministry and when Timothy was a leader of the congregation, can be seen in the discipleship messages and teachings delivered, especially in 2 Timothy 3:14-17. This article was researched using historical criticism methods with text research, context and historical analysis behind the writing of the text. At the time this letter was written, Christians were faced with doctrinal and moral attacks from within the church itself. In this text Paul provides advice and guidance to church leaders on how to face these challenges with faith and steadfastness. Here, Paul emphasizes the importance of discipleship and scripture as the basis of the Christian faith. Paul taught Timothy not only to receive teachings, but also to retain and pass them on to others. Discipleship is seen as an ongoing process in the Christian faith, with Scripture as a solid foundation. Paul emphasized that the scriptures were inspired by God and are useful for teaching, reminding, correcting, and training in truth. This shows that true discipleship brings transformation in a person's life and prepares them to serve God effectively.

Abstract

Pegabdian ini dilakukan sebagai bukti nyata Pelaksanaan Bimbingan Belajar Gratis Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Anak Di Desa Simpang Empat Kec. Simpang Empat Kab. Asahan. Sasaran Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di Desa Simpang Empat Kec. Simpang Empat Kab. Asahan yaitu untuk anak sekolah dasar. Waktu pelaksanaannya dimulai dari tanggal 6 Februari sampai dengan 27 Februari 2025. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di desa Simpang Empat, yaitu dimulai dari pengantaran surat izin melaksanakan PkM, tahapan survei, tahapan persiapan, tahapan pelaksanaan dan tahapan penyusunan laporan dimana tim PkM terdiri dari satu dosen pembimbing lapangan yang bertugas dalam mengarahkan mahasiswa. Program pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar gratis merupakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak di desa Simpang Empat. Bimbingan belajar gratis membantu warga desa khususnya orang tua karena bimbingan ini tidak di pungut biaya. Bimbingan belajar gratis ini dapat membantu minat siswa dalam belajar karena pada kegiatan banyak ice breaking yang dibuat tim pengabdi sebelum belajar untuk menumbuhkan suasana yang menyenangkan dan membuat suasana tidak monoton. Jadi kegiatan bimbingan belajar pada program PkM di desa Simpang Empat dapat membantu meningkatkan minat belajar anak

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi profesional guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam mempersiapkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi aplikasi Kahoot bagi generasi muda di era Society 5.0. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus terhadap dua guru PAK dan lima belas siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAK memiliki kompetensi profesional dalam merancang pembelajaran menggunakan Kahoot secara kreatif dan variatif, sekaligus menanamkan nilai iman Kristen seperti kejujuran, kerja sama, dan saling menghormati. Pemanfaatan Kahoot terbukti meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan pemahaman siswa, meskipun masih ditemui kendala seperti jaringan internet yang tidak stabil dan keterbatasan perangkat. Kesimpulannya, kompetensi profesional guru PAK berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis teknologi sekaligus membentuk karakter Kristiani generasi muda yang relevan dengan tuntutan era Society 5.0.

Abstract

This study examines the main ideas of Martin Luther's Reformation, the development of the church movement, and its implications for Christian Religious Education (CRE). The Reformation, initiated by Luther in the 16th century, was not merely a reaction to the deviations of the Catholic Church, but a spiritual calling rooted in the experience of justification by faith (Romans 1:17). Luther opposed the church's abuse of indulgences and established key theological principles: Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solus Christus, and Soli Deo Gloria. These principles gave rise to major changes in theology, church life, and faith education. The Lutheran movement expanded through the Augsburg Confession of 1530, which became the foundation of the teachings and identity of Protestant churches. The core of Luther's teaching, the doctrine of justification by faith, frees people from the fear of God's wrath and directs the focus of faith solely on Christ. This study uses qualitative methods with a library study, examining Luther's works and secondary literature. The results show that Luther's thoughts have had a significant impact on CHE, namely, faith education centered on Scripture, emphasizing a personal relationship with Christ, and a pedagogical vision that upholds access to education for all. The practical implication is that Christian Religious Education is called to develop a faith that is critical, reflective, and faithful to the Word, enabling students to become witnesses of Christ in society. The main ideas of Luther's Reformation remain relevant for renewing church life and Christian education today.

Abstract

Keluaran 23:1-9 merupakan bagian dari Kitab Perjanjian (KP) yang memuat aturan peradilan yang ditetapkan oleh Allah untuk Israel. Meskipun dalam bingkai luar Kitab Perjanjian, redaktur dikemudian hari menyatukan bagian ini dengan Kel.23:10-13. Pasal ini secara khusus berbicara mengenai aturan peradilan yang diberikan oleh Allah kepada bangsa Israel. Teks ini bukanlah hukum terkait keputusan dalam perkara, melainkan aturan-aturan yang menjelaskan integritas seseorang atau Israel dalam konteks pengadilan. Ketentuan ini melibatkan aspek yang meluas, dari kehidupan bersama hingga perlakuan terhadap musuh dan orang asing. Teks berada dalam konteks aturan pengadilan, menekankan pentingnya integritas dalam berperan sebagai pengadil, saksi, terdakwa, atau penggugat. Keadilan Yahwe terwujud dalam menjaga keadilan dan kebenaran dalam proses hukum. Melalui metode Teologia Biblis, penulis pertama-tama menggali makna kata kunci dan konteks historis teks dengan pendekatan hermeneutika Historis Kritis, dan kemudian menyimpulkan gagasan teologis dalam Kel.23:1-9 dengan tinjauan teologia biblis. Kesimpulan teologis dalam teks, menyoroti keadilan Yahwe yang tidak berpihak, setara, pro kebenaran, berlaku untuk semua, mengandung kebebasan, dan memiliki batasan penghukuman yang adil. Keadilan ini mencerminkan integritas umat Yahwe yang hidup dalam kebenaran, kejujuran, dan kasih kepada semua, tanpa memandang status atau asal-usul, melibatkan solidaritas dan cinta terhadap sesama, musuh, dan orang asing. Keseluruhan, Keluaran 23:1-9 menjadi panduan nilai-nilai keadilan yang relevan bagi orang percaya pada masa kini.

Abstract

This article examines the urgency of dialogical and transformative Christian Religious Education (PAK) in the context of a pluralistic society. It examines the thoughts of Paul F. Knitter and Pahala J. Simanjuntak as representatives of the theology of interreligious dialogue and prophetic educational practice in Indonesia. Knitter's idea of ​​mutual transformation in the theology of religions offers a new paradigm for the existence of Christian faith amidst plurality, while Simanjuntak's approach emphasizes the importance of contextual, liberating, and social justice-oriented Christian education. This article employs a qualitative approach with a critical-hermeneutic analysis of the main works of both figures, and examines them within the framework of Paulo Freire's pluralistic theology of religions and critical pedagogy. The results demonstrate that the integration of dialogical theology and transformative pedagogy enables the realization of PAK that not only maintains the authentic identity of the Christian faith but also opens itself to interreligious dynamics and global humanitarian challenges. Thus, Christian Education can become a field of liberatory practice that brings together spirituality, critical reflection, and social transformation in the light of the Gospel.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower the congregation of HKBP Panti Resort Pasaman through education and literacy activities to strengthen responsible faith growth, particularly among youth and Sunday school participants. The program was motivated by challenges in the digital era that affect spiritual quality, self-control, and religious literacy among young generations. The activity involved 45 participants, consisting of 20 adolescents, 15 Sunday school children, and 10 adult congregation members. A participatory method was employed through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Program activities included worship services, Bible study sessions, spiritual retreats, pastoral visits, and spiritual-social literacy training. Indicators of success were measured through attendance records, participant observation, and pretest-posttest questionnaires on spiritual understanding. The results showed that average participation in church activities increased from 62% to 84% (+22%), while participants’ understanding of faith values and spiritual literacy improved from 68% to 87% (+19%). In addition, participants demonstrated stronger awareness of balancing digital life with spiritual responsibilities and greater enthusiasm for church involvement. Therefore, education- and literacy-based empowerment proved effective in strengthening the church’s role as a center for spiritual development and character formation in society.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between theology and Christian Religious Education (CRE) by highlighting the role of CRE in gender education and its implementation at HKBP Pabrik Tenun Medan. CRE not only serves as an instrument for teaching the Christian faith but also as a medium for social transformation, particularly in shaping a more just gender awareness within the church and society. In the context of Christian theology, understandings of gender are often influenced by biblical interpretation, church doctrine, and local culture. Therefore, this study explores how CRE in this church responds to gender issues, particularly in promoting equal roles between men and women in ministry and the congregation’s participation in church leadership. The church has a responsibility to teach the values of equality, justice, and respect for gender differences in accordance with biblical principles. However, in practice, challenges remain, particularly in the form of patriarchal interpretations that may limit women's roles in ecclesiastical ministry. This study also highlights how the church can develop a more inclusive CRE theology by incorporating gender perspectives based on liberation theology and justice. This research employs a qualitative and descriptive method, utilizing in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis to obtain comprehensive data. The findings indicate that, despite efforts by CRE to teach gender equality, challenges persist in its implementation due to cultural and traditional factors, particularly the strong influence of the highly patriarchal Batak Toba culture. Therefore, this study is expected to serve as a reference for churches in designing CRE programs that are more responsive to gender issues, encouraging active female participation in church life and ministry.

Abstract

Pedagogical Hermeneutics seeks to bridge the gap between the biblical text and the educational context through a dialogical process involving the educator, the learner, and the Word of God. In this approach, interpretation does not merely focus on the historical and theological meaning of the text but also on the existential transformation of the learner involved in it. Pedagogical Hermeneutics emphasizes that every process of faith learning is an act of interpretation oriented toward personal and communal transformation. Christian education does not stop at the transfer of biblical knowledge but becomes a reflective space in which learners encounter the living God through the text. The educator acts as a facilitator who helps learners interpret life experiences in the light of the Gospel so that the meaning of the Bible is not reduced to mere information but becomes inspiration and life transformation. This approach also demands an integration between modern hermeneutical theories such as those of Gadamer and Ricoeur and contextual Christian pedagogical praxis. Pedagogical Hermeneutics, therefore, reaffirms the function of the Bible not only as a theological text but also as an educational text that shapes faith consciousness. This paper aims to affirm the relevance of the hermeneutical approach in faith learning that is reflective, participatory, and transformative. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method through theological and pedagogical literature analysis.
