Abstract

Pasca dideklarasikannya Anies Baswedan, calon presiden Partai Nasdem, muncul konflik politik yang terjadi antara Partai Nasional Demokrat dengan PDI-Perjuangan. Pencalonan Anies Baswedan sebagai capres menyebabkan merenggangnya hubungan koalisi yang terjadi antara kedua partai besar. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengetahui bagaimana Kompas.com mengonstruksi pemberitaan konflik politik antara Nasional Demokrat dengan PDI-Perjuangan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, paradigma konstruktivisme serta analisis framing yang berasal dari Pan dan Kosiciki sebagai metode penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kompas.com cenderung memberikan dukungan terhadap pencalonan Anies Baswedan sebagai calon Presiden. Hal ini terbukti dalam kata-kata yang dipilih. serta pemilihan narasumber digunakan yang secara keseluruhan berasal dari kalangan partai Nasdem sendiri.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the marketing communication mix strategy implemented by Yamaha in promoting the 2024 NMAX Turbo product in Indonesia. To differentiate, Yamaha leverages six key marketing communication elements: advertising, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, personal selling, and digital marketing. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was gathered through in-depth interviews with Yamaha’s marketing managers, advertising agencies, and automotive influencers, as well as document analysis of annual reports and social media content. Thematic and content analysis were employed to interpret the data. Findings show that advertising played a significant role in building brand awareness through television and digital platforms, emphasizing the motor’s turbocharged technology and futuristic design. Sales promotions, particularly exclusive discounts and pre-order bonuses, effectively boosted consumer interest. Public relations initiatives, including launch events and test rides, enhanced the brand’s image and engagement. Direct marketing via email and SMS reinforced consumer relationships, while personal selling at dealerships offered a personalized experience. Digital marketing through platforms like Instagram and TikTok successfully reached younger audiences. This marketing mix strategy has proven effective in raising brand awareness, strengthening engagement, and driving sales for Yamaha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran manajemen Public Relations (PR) internal dalam meningkatkan kapabilitas para komunikator perubahan, dengan studi kasus pada Lembaga Komunikasi dan Informasi Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Partai Golongan Karya Jakarta. Dalam konteks perubahan politik yang dinamis, peran komunikator perubahan menjadi sangat penting untuk memengaruhi persepsi publik, membangun citra partai, serta menyampaikan pesan strategis kepada khalayak yang beragam. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana manajemen PR internal di lembaga partai politik dapat berkontribusi dalam pengembangan kapabilitas komunikator, khususnya dalam pengelolaan pesan politik, penanganan isu, dan penerapan strategi komunikasi yang adaptif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan, pengembangan kapasitas, serta pemberian ruang untuk kreativitas dan inovasi memainkan peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas komunikator perubahan. Hal ini tercermin dari keberhasilan mereka dalam mengelola strategi media, menghadapi krisis dan membangun hubungan dengan pemangku kepentingan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen PR internal yang berfokus pada penguatan kapabilitas komunikasi mampu menciptakan komunikator-komunikator yang kompeten, yang mendukung keberhasilan partai dalam menghadapi tantangan politik era digital, termasuk dominasi generasi Z, disrupsi teknologi dan kebutuhan change leadership.

Abstract

The digitalization of learning media has become a key strategy to enhance students’ communication skills and cultural awareness in 21st-century education. This study aims to examine the use of digital media as a tool to strengthen cultural communication and student communication competence in multicultural classroom settings. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation at SMA Waskito, South Tangerang. Ting-Toomey and Dorjee’s (2018) intercultural communication theory was applied to analyze how students effectively convey messages across cultural differences. The results show that digital media such as videos, infographics, and online platforms encouraged students to participate actively and express their cultural identities more confidently. Teachers acted as collaborative facilitators who created space for intercultural dialogue. Although challenges such as limited access and unequal digital literacy were present, adaptive teaching strategies helped ensure inclusive and meaningful learning. Therefore, digital media serves not only as a learning aid but also as a strategic tool to foster students’ intercultural communication competence.ABSTRAKDigitalisasi media pembelajaran menjadi strategi kunci dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan kesadaran budaya peserta didik di era pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan media digital sebagai sarana penguatan komunikasi budaya dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa dalam konteks multikultural. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di SMA Waskito, Tangerang Selatan. Teori komunikasi lintas budaya Ting-Toomey dan Dorjee (2018) digunakan sebagai kerangka analisis untuk memahami cara siswa menyampaikan pesan secara efektif dalam keberagaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media digital seperti video, infografik, dan platform daring mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa serta memperkuat ekspresi identitas budaya lokal. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator kolaboratif dalam menciptakan ruang dialog antarbudaya. Meskipun terdapat tantangan teknis dan literasi digital yang belum merata, strategi adaptif guru mampu menjaga proses pembelajaran tetap inklusif dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, digitalisasi media tidak hanya mendukung pembelajaran, tetapi juga membentuk keterampilan komunikasi lintas budaya siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political communication styles of two Indonesian presidential candidates, Prabowo Subianto and Anies Baswedan, during the third presidential debate of the 2024 election. Using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, and using a descriptive qualitative. This study explores the verbal and nonverbal signs presented in the context of Indonesian communication culture. The findings show that Anies Baswedan tends to use a low-context communication style, characterized by rational argumentation, academic diction, and emotional analogies. In contrast, Prabowo Subianto adopts a high-context communication style, rich in symbols, nonverbal expressions, and nationalist narratives rooted in collective culture. These political figures not only demonstrate personal communication strategies but also reflect the cultural heritage embedded in people's perceptions of leadership in Indonesia. Symbols such as "gemoy" associated with Prabowo and "Abah" with Anies illustrate their efforts to foster closeness to the public through representations of popular and traditional culture. Thus, this study confirms that political communication in debates cannot be separated from the cultural dimensions that shape the meaning and public perception of national leadership.

Abstract

The film has the power to influence gender ideology. The preservation of gender ideology can be noticed in the portrayal of women as weak people who are always intimidated both physically, sexually, and economically. The image of women as weak creatures is depicted in the Layangan Putus film series. These film series reach the highest rank in several Southeast Asian countries. The film describes a wife's pressure from her husband's affair and her struggle to overcome it. This study aims to analyze the representations of women in the context of images and scenarios in a film shown in the film series Layangan Putus using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. Barthes introduces the concept of denotation, connotations, and myths. The results revealed that the denotation analysis and connotation level in the Layangan Putus film series confirm women's opposition to gender roles. Furthermore, this opposition aligns with Liberal Feminism seeking to liberate women from male domination. Liberal feminists aim to liberate women from gender-based constraints, challenging the lower status assigned to them solely due to their sex. On the other hand, true equality can be achieved by embracing androgynous perspectives, recognizing that both men and women possess characteristics of femininity and masculinity.

Abstract

The mass media always reports negative information about the DPR RI, it has an impact on a negative image of the DPR RI institution and political parties. Based on the LSI survey for the period March 31-April 4 2023, the level of public trust of DPR RI institution and political parties only gained 5%. Therefore the Secretariat General of the DPR RI utilizes social media Instagram as a media for promotion, dissemination and public education through the account @edukasiparlemen. The research method used in this research is qualitative, descriptive in nature and uses case studies. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The conclusion of this study is that the credibility of the @edukasiparlemen account is formed due to direct interaction between Instagram followers and the Public Relations Secretariat General of the DPR RI, education delivered on Instagram is the same as offline education. Instagram followers @edukasiparlemen are dominated by high school / vocational students, students and the academic community. Published content about parliamentary education includes Did you know?, Contact Yuk, Sunmori, quizzes, etc. The contents are very clear and interactive so that they get considerable attention from followers.  Keywords: DPR RI, Public Relation, Image, Education, Instagram

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Dedi Mulyadi’s public communication style through Derrida’s semiotics, particularly the concept of deconstruction. This approach is used to uncover layers of meaning often manifested by cultural narratives, traditional symbols, and cultural expressions on digital platforms. Using a qualitative method with text and video analysis, interpretation of symbols, diction, and gestures, the study reveals that Dedi Mulyadi’s communication is rich in markers of locality, simplicity, and closeness to the people. However, these meanings are not singular and remain open to deconstruction. Based on Derrida’s conception, it is found that Dedi Mulyadi’s communication style blurs the boundaries between the elite and the people, power and simplicity, representation and reality. His public communication style represents a deconstruction of conventional political communication practices by blending modern and traditional symbols, dissolving the boundary between the elite and the masses through the use of ambiguous yet populist. This approach also helps to reveal how the signs used by Dedi Mulyadi are highly open to multiple interpretations and continuously shifting meanings. The study recommends the importance of applying deconstructive analysis in political communication studies to better understand the dynamics of meaning and imagery within digital public spaces.
